Community Update – First half of 2023

Hello everyone! It’s time for another community update.

In 2022, we released lots of new content, including Act 8 and the new specialist cards. We also listened to your feedback and made some balancing adjustments and improved the playability of certain specialist cards. Of course, we also have a lot planned for you in 2023. In the following, we’ll give you a little preview of what’s to come in the next six months.

Kicking things off in January: the new version of the Time-Space events. We’ve adjusted the rewards for this and all future events (Lunar New Year Event, Valentine’s Day Event, Easter Event, etc.) and made sure that there are now more incentives to participate.

We also plan on continuing to improve playability, just as we have done regularly over the past few years. We’ve already made great progress in this area thanks to your great feedback. So look forward to more positive changes! And yes, that includes balance adjustments for Master Wolf, the Crusader and the Holy Mage. These changes are scheduled for the first quarter of 2023.

Speaking of specialist cards... Originally we had planned to release a new Lifestyle specialist card in the second half of 2022, but we had to postpone that in order to be able to put more time into the development of SP10. This project is now complete, so you can look forward to a new Lifestyle specialist who can tame and improve pets – to be released soon.

Of course, we also have to address the winners of our competition. We’re not talking about the story competition (as announced, there will be news about that in January), but about last year’s fan art contest. We have already implemented the Lunar Wings this year, but we would like to incorporate more of your ideas into the game.

Last but not least, we have good news for all players on the Cylloan server. As you may know, the main problem is the server location in the US, which is why we couldn’t act earlier. But don’t worry, no member of the NosTale family is left behind! In the coming months, we will conduct a migration test to move the server to Europe. If everything works out, we can hopefully carry out the merge you have been longing for. We don’t want to give you false hope – we can’t guarantee that this will work. But rest assured, we will do our best to find a satisfactory solution for everyone.

And that concludes our little preview. As you can see, we have a lot planned for the next six months, so we certainly won’t get bored. One more small spoiler: in the second half of the year we have a frosty surprise for you! But until then... you’ll have to wait and see. ;)
