Rampant Action on Temporary Servers

Over the holidays you can expect a special challenge with great rewards: Play cool events like the brand new Battle Royale on our new, but temporary, servers and get hold of some really high-quality items. When the servers shut down, you can take your best hero and move them to another server.

But it’s not only Metin2 pros who stand to benefit: Completely new players will have no problem finding their bearings on the servers and can quickly level up here like all other players! Make the most of this opportunity to quickly catch up with the veterans in the game.

Here’s what’s waiting for you

You can play popular events on our temporary servers, and get the win in
weekly challenges and benefit from faster levelling and rising up in the rankings!

  • New accounts will still receive a 50% discount on Auto-Hunting and Premium boxes as well as free starter packs from the shop!
  • You can also look forward to new chances to get Tiger Coins in the item shop and the brand new Battle Royale in Metin2!

Challenges and Character Transfers
You can look forward to 10 weeks of Metin2 action. After the end of the event, Character Transfer is possible from 17/2/2021 to 2/3/2021. The challenges on the servers change every week. If you do really well in the challenges, you can also transfer more equipment and items from your inventory.

You can collect your rewards for completing the challenges from the item shop. You must have completed 6 challenges to qualify for your hero’s transfer.

Tip: Start early, as the challenges get harder from week to week. But you can also ‘cheat’ a little, because by participating in our two-factor authorisation (during the events or before), you’ve already completed one challenge on your counter!

Rank Points and Rewards

For each challenge, there are rankings for each Kingdom and Server. The best 10% of players will be rewarded. If you reach Rank 1, 2 or 3 you can look forward to extra rewards!

You can find the individual challenges listed in the Metin2 forum.

The events

There’s a whole range of events to discover on the temporary servers:

Permanent Boosts

Make use of the time and level up as much as you can on these servers! Things happen fast in this event:

Get a permanent EXP boost of +200% and a permanent item drop boost of +100%.

Battle Royale

Defeat your enemies in Battle Royale mode: on the temporary servers from Friday 12 PM to Monday 12 PM CET – head into battle and conquer the rankings. Great prizes await you!

Registration and Rules
You need a special ticket to participate in the Battle Royale. Just join the queue by clicking on the appropriate event button. As soon as there are enough participants, the challenge can begin.

The Battle Royale has some special rules to ensure equal opportunities and fair competition: All participants automatically play the same class and no skills can be used. When entering the combat zone, all items are also temporarily confiscated. Don’t worry! You’ll get them back after the battle!

As you’re starting without equipment, you need to get some new gear quickly. This can be done in different ways: Search the map to find Supply Chests and Equipment Chests. These contain equipment or other useful items. Alternatively, you can collect the inventory of any players you defeat.

By the way, in Battle Royale you can restore health by killing other players.

Zones and Victories
Over time, the safe area in which you can stay is increasingly limited by an electrical field. Make sure that you retreat to the next safe zone in time so you don’t take any damage from the barrier. This guarantees constant action!

The last player standing is crowned the winner of the game! When the Battle Royale is over, you’ll be teleported back to the village and your hero will be returned to their previous state.

A separate ranking list is kept for the Battle Royale and rewards are handed out accordingly.

Battle of the Five Shrines

This is a PvP event that takes place from **Monday 12 PM to Friday 12 PM CET** for players of level 30 and above.

Conquer shrines, defend them against the other two kingdoms, get rewarded with weekly buffs and earn lots of rank points.

The access ticket ‘Call of the Shrines’ can be purchased for 50,000 Yang from the General Store Saleswoman and teleports you directly to the Isle of Mist.

Once the battle begins, all three kingdoms must fight for control of the five shrines:
  • In order to capture a shrine, it must first be destroyed.
  • The kingdom which has the most members nearby after 1 minute will capture the shrine.
  • After 3 minutes, the shrine will reappear in the colour of the kingdom which captured it.
  • The longer a shrine has been under control by the same kingdom, the harder it will be to destroy.
  • If a shrine remains in a kingdom’s possession until the end of the game, a 5-day buff is activated. Each shrine provides a different buff.
  • Only players who successfully took part in the battle will receive the buff.

The following buffs are available:
  • Shrine of Energy (energy buff): Increases energy by 2
  • Shrine of Fortune (item buff): Increases item drop rate by 10%
  • Shrine of Power (stats buff): Increases strength, intelligence, vitality and dexterity by 3
  • Shrine of Wealth (Yang buff): Increases Yang drop rate by 10%
  • Shrine of Illumination (bonus buff): Increases costume bonuses by 3%

World Boss Event

Defeat world bosses who appear at random in a neutral zone and receive Tiger Coins and other rewards.

The damage you inflict counts too! If your character reaches at least the minimum damage required and the boss is defeated, you will receive loot depending on your position in the damage ranking. If the world boss escapes, the damage counter is reset.

Rewards
Earn a high ranking for better loot:

Places 1-10: Loot Level I
Places 11-25: Loot Level II
Places 26-100: Loot Level III
Place 100+ with minimum damage: Loot Level IV

IMPORTANT: You need to pick up your reward before the next world boss appears in the event banner or else it will be lost! This event runs throughout the entire period that the temporary servers are active.

The Bazaar

You can also do brisk trading on the temporary server: The ‘Bazaar’ map is active here and players from all three kingdoms can place their shops there. In addition, there are several NPCs here that facilitate profitable buying and selling of goods. As usual, the Bazaar is a place of peace: PvP actions are not possible on the map.

Harvest Festival

This year, the harvest was very late in the three kingdoms. Wonda-Rim and Handu-Up have taken a lot of trouble with their Rice Cakes. What a bind that these have been stolen! Help them, by bringing the Rice Cakes back to them and get a princely reward.

However, the quest is quite difficult, so you’ll need the help of your friends for the second part of the quest. If you complete this part together with them, even better rewards await you.

Soul Hunt

Once you’ve reached level 30, visit the NPC Ah-Yu and you’ll receive a quest. If you successfully complete this, you will receive your reward: a Soul Case containing two souls: the Oneiric Soul (increases impact damage) and the Celestial Soul (increases skill damage). (Upon receipt, you have 24 hours to open the box).

Improve the souls by using Soul Parchment (or Soul Parchment 100%) to extend their duration and the possible attacks of the souls. The souls can be upgraded several times (there are 5 levels in total). However, the upgrade can also fail, leaving you with the soul, but not the Soul Parchment.

You can only use souls once you have been online long enough. For instance, a soul that has a duration of 1 hour will only become active after 1 hour of playing time.

Souls cannot be used in PvP or during a transformation. Once a soul has expired, you can complete the quest again.

EXP Boost

Get another boost in addition to those mentioned above: Meet the NPC Uriel and receive an EXP boost. The higher your level, the greater your EXP bonus. Limited to +200% EXP (for players 101 to 120).

Your current boost must have expired before you can get a new one.

Item Drops

Collecting precious and useful items is not limited to the Anima, Corundum and Ege servers: drop events will also be taking place on our temporary servers.

Strength of the Tiger
During the entire duration of when the temporary servers are open, Metins and bosses will drop the ‘Strength of the Tiger’ item which allows you to inflict 40% more PvE damage on the regular servers. The buff applies to your entire Metin2 account and lasts for 10 minutes once activated.
