Winter in Metin2 won’t be boring, so much is sure – you can expect hardcore PvP, thrilling challenges, action-packed events and valuable rewards! All this awaits you on our new temporary servers! Your progress pays off doubly because when the servers shut down, you can take your best hero and move them to another server.

However, the temporary servers won’t only be of interest to Metin2 veterans, because completely new players will also have no problem finding their bearings – level up quickly, rake in rewards and use this opportunity to quickly become a Metin2 pro.

The Character Transfer

When you start off on one of the temporary servers, you can take on two great challenges:

Accept the 1st Challenge, complete 60 quests, reach level 90 and in the end you can transfer your best hero, Gaya and the equipment you’re wearing to a normal server.

Dive into the 2nd Challenge, defeat a dungeon boss in Yohara and be able to transfer your best hero, Gaya, the gear you’re wearing, the 1st inventory page, costume items and any equipped alchemy to a normal server.

However to secure your character transfer, you must have completed at least 60 quests and reached level 90. For the character transfer, you can only select servers in your region – excluded are the servers Amber, Lyncirium, Kehribar, Türkiye and Marmara.


The Quest Challenge

Complete 60 quests for the 1st Challenge. Possibilities include the main quests, side quests and biologist quests. Excluded are the starting areas for lycans and the daily Yohara quests. Complete these challenges to receive a free reward package in the shop which contains the following:

You can see how well you are doing on our Ranking Website. The website will be updated daily at midnight (CET). After the servers are shut down, the top 10 players from each kingdom will receive their rewards in the shop.

The Yohara Challenges

For the 2nd Challenge you must defeat a dungeon boss on Yohara – group dungeon bosses count for the entire group, all other dungeon bosses only count for the player who kills it. Complete these challenges to receive a free reward package in the shop which contains the following:

PvP Rankings
On the temporary servers there will also be PvP Rankings for each kingdom which will run until the servers close. Players 75 and above can receive PvP points for defeating players from other kingdoms in the open world. Various PvP actions here are worth different amounts of points. You can see your ranking for these activities on our Ranking Website. The website will be updated daily at midnight (CET). Players who abuse the system will be disqualified from the rankings.




After the servers are shut down, the top 10 players from each kingdom will have their rewards delivered.

PvP Tournament
Are you ready to test yourself against the best? Then participate in our big PvP Tournament! Enter the tournament map to register. But you can also enter the tournament map and just be a spectator.

• There are 4 battlefields.
  
• Duels are played according to an automatic K.O. tournament system.
  
• 4 battles can take place simultaneously every round.
  
• Each battle is a 1v1 duel between two players.
  

Only the winners proceed to the next round until there is only one participant left: the undefeated champion!

Tournament dates:
Each tournament starts between 6 PM and 8 PM (CET) – depending on when the maximum number of participants per round has been reached. Registration opens each day at 6 PM (CET).

Rewards for the tournament champions:
The champion of the tournament is rewarded with 1x DR Voucher (1000) and 100 PvP rank points. All other duel winners receive a small number of PvP rank points.

Participation:
Any player from level 95 can participate. Every tournament is limited to max. 200 participants. Once the registration starts, you will find a corresponding entry in your quest log which you must accept to start.

Events
There’s a whole range of events to experience on the temporary servers:

Permanent Boosts

Make use of the time and level up as much as you can! Things happen fast in this event – speak with the NPC Uriel and get a hearty EXP Boost. The higher your level, the greater your EXP bonus!

Apprentice Chest

Beginners can also find Apprentice Chests on the temporary servers. The Weapons for Young Heroes quest will not be activated, however.

Battle Royale

Defeat your enemies in Battle Royale mode: on the temporary servers from Saturday at 4 PM to Tuesday at 4 PM CET – head into battle, climb the rankings and get more powerful items as a reward!

In Battle Royale, all participants automatically play the same class. You need to find your gear on the map to start off. The area shrinks over time until there’s only one winner left at the end.

Battle of the Five Shrines

Conquer shrines and defend them against the other two kingdoms from Tuesdays at 4 PM until Saturdays at 4 PM (CET). You can also get rewarded with weekly buffs and earn lots of rank points.

The access ticket ‘Call of the Shrines’ can be purchased for 50,000 Yang from the General Store Saleswoman and teleports you directly to the Isle of Mist.

Once the battle begins, all three kingdoms must fight for control of the five shrines:

• In order to capture a shrine, it must first be destroyed.
  
• The kingdom which has the most members nearby after 1 minute will capture the shrine.
  
• After 3 minutes, the shrine will reappear in the colour of the kingdom which captured it.
  
• The longer a shrine has been under control by the same kingdom, the harder it will be to destroy.
  
• If a shrine remains in a kingdom’s possession until the end of the game, a 5-day buff is activated. Each shrine provides a different buff.
  
• Only players who successfully took part in the battle will receive the buff.
  

The following buffs are available:

• Shrine of Energy (energy buff): Increases energy by 2
  
• Shrine of Fortune (item buff): Increases item drop rate by 10%
  
• Shrine of Power (stats buff): Increases strength, intelligence, vitality and dexterity by 3
  
• Shrine of Wealth (Yang buff): Increases Yang drop rate by 10%
  
• Shrine of Illumination (bonus buff): Increases costume bonuses by 3%
  

Plentiful Loot
All boss monsters and Metins provide you special loot – defeat them, and with a little luck, you could pick up the valuable items.

You can also look forward to additional Superstone drops!

Strength of the Tiger
During the entire duration of when the temporary servers are open, Metins and bosses will drop the ‘Strength of the Tiger’ item which allows you to inflict 40% more PvE damage on the regular servers. The buff applies to your entire Metin2 account and lasts for 10 minutes once activated.

Additional Changes
After listening to the feedback we got from the community we decided to make some changes. Now, the first Inventory page will also be transferred when the 2nd challenge has been completed.

In additional to the events that were already announced we will active Soul Event on 27.12.2021 until the end of the server.

Event: Journey to the Otherworld

In this brand new event, you’ll face four devilish trials – enter the Otherworld where only the bravest heroes from the three kingdoms need apply! A hellish challenge awaits you, at the end of which, the final boss Asmodeus must be conquered. Along the way you can earn unique rewards like the Phoenix of Redemption which collects your loot for you or the mighty Damnation Shield!

How to Play

The event consists of 2 phases: in the first phase you can get items you need for the second phase. At the end of this phase, the Otherworld Portal becomes available and you can journey through to the other side – this is the jumping-off point for the second phase: face the four emissaries so you can confront Asmodeus.

We will repeat each game phase during the event so each player has enough of a chance at battling against Asmodeus:

Event: Catch the King

Catch the King is back – this time exclusively on our new servers Amber, Lyncirium, Kehribar and Jantar (Янтарь)!

The exciting card game will test your little grey cells, offering rewards for your skill in the form of valuable Bronze, Silver and Golden King’s Loot. Hunt down monsters to collect King Cards, or pick up the Card Packs in the item shop – get started straight away!

Starts: 11th November 2021 at 10:00 AM (CET)
King Card drops end: 25th November 2021 at 11:59 PM (CET)
Event ends: 26th November 2021 at 11:59 PM (CET)

Starting the Game
Hunt down monsters to collect King Cards. Together 25 King Cards make up a King Deck, with which you can play a game of Catch the King. The Card Packs in the item shop also contain lots of King Cards.

Aim of the Game
Reveal as many cards as possible and collect points. Catch the king in one go on the very last move to pick up 100 points at once. If you earn at least 10 points, you can redeem a prize at the end of the game.

You can wager up to 5 King Decks each time you play, earning the same number of chests in reward. Please note: The number of cards you play with is fixed; it is not influenced by the number of decks you wager. Once the game has started, you cannot reclaim the King Decks you have wagered.

How to Play

• You always start with the lowest card. An arrow indicates which card can be selected.
  
• By clicking on the card it will appear in the ‘My Card’ slot. In subsequent turns, cards of the same value will be moved automatically.
  
• Turn over any face-down card on the game board and compare it to your own.
  
• If your card is greater, you will receive points equal to the value of the revealed card and you can turn over another card on the board.
  
• If the cards are the same value, you receive the points and your turn is over. Play continues with a new card from your deck.
  
• If your card’s value is lower, you don’t receive any points. Your turn is over and play continues with a new card.
  
• If your card is a 5 and there is a face-down 5 neighbouring the card you reveal, your card will be captured. Your turn is over and you don’t receive any points.
  
• If your card is the king (K) and you catch the king on the board in exactly one move, you receive 100 points. The game ends after this move.
  
• Bingo! If you reveal all cards in a row, you receive 10 extra points.
  
• If you’ve earned at least 10 points, you can collect your prize by clicking on ‘Your Reward’.

Note

• More King Decks may be found among the King’s Loot. Make sure to open the prize before the end of the event, as all King Cards and Decks will then disappear and you’ll come away empty-handed.
  
• If you log out or leave the map while playing Catch the King, you’ll forfeit your reward.
  

Caution! Metin Fever Is on the Rise! You valiant heroes must face a great challenge: destroy the Metin stones and confront dangerous bosses in this brand new event – Beran-Setaou, Jotun Thrym, Mysterious Monk and many other enemies are carriers of hefty loot!

• Starts: 5/10 at 2 PM CEST
  
• Ends: 18/10 at 11:59 PM CEST
  

In this event you destroy 5 Metin stones in your level range (from level 30) and receive 1 Challenge Scroll daily. With this scroll you can summon a special Metin stone which you must destroy to face an especially difficult opponent.

Once you have defeated the boss, grab their treasure and, with a little luck, another Metin stone will appear which can call an even stronger enemy to the scene. If you also defeat this one, you’ll find out how virulent Metin Fever can be: there is a chance of progressively more devastating opponents coming your way, and it will test all your skills to defeat them. Of course the rewards will be great!

Tip: Luck is on your side on the continent of Yohara – the probability of even more dangerous bosses appearing is much higher in Yohara.

*Please note that the event will not take place on the following servers: Amber, Lyncirium, Kehribar and Jantar (Янтарь).

First of all: this update isn’t large, but it promises to bring you some improvements you’ve been suggesting for a long time!

In the past, people have often had trouble reaching the Blue Dragon. Here at Gameforge, we’ve now come up with a solution – we’re making it an instance where this will no longer be a problem. It used to be that you could only enter the Dragon’s Temple as a group. Now each group enters their own instance to get to the Dragon’s Temple – and up to 6x per day.

You can look forward to some improvements to Nemere’s Watchtower, Devil’s Catacomb and the Red Dragon Fortress. This will make your forays here worth it again.

The new continent Yohara should also be more fun – now you can play new daily quests and find treasure chests here and there which will give you lots of items.

We also did some pest control and eliminated a lot of bugs on our long hit list, so they won’t be bothering you any more in future.

From 10/8/2021 (midnight CEST) to 2/9/2021 (11:59 PM CEST) you have the chance to play our minigame based off the Turkish game *Okey*. Before you can start, you have to put together a card set. Then, with some luck and smart moves, you can earn points to receive valuable prizes.

But that’s not all! Because we have a Tombola with fantastic prizes, scary shop offers and a whole lot more waiting for you.

The Okey Game
Defeat monsters to receive cards. Once you’ve collected and stacked 24 okey cards, you automatically receive an Okey Card Set and can start playing. Before you start a game, make sure you have a set and also 30,000 Yang.

The aim of the game is to create a combination of sets and runs:

• A set consists of cards of the same value (e.g. 7, 7, 7). The lower the cards’ values, the fewer points you receive for it.
  
• A run consists of at least three cards with consecutive numbers (e.g. 6, 7, 8). The lower the cards’ values, the fewer points you receive for it. Runs of the same colour earn you more points than runs of several colours.
  

Prizes
After finishing a game, your prizes are delivered directly to your inventory. The chests contain high-quality and useful items for your hero – for example: the Ring of Deadly Power, Cor Draconis (Mystical) and many more!

Highscore
You want to be known as a winner? Then try to beat the highscore! This gives you the chance to win more chests. You can check the highscore at the Okey Table. The prizes for achieving the highscore can then be collected after the end of the event:

• For 1st place you receive 10x Golden Okey Chest.
  
• For 2nd place you receive 5x Golden Okey Chest.
  
• For 3rd place you receive 3x Golden Okey Chest.
  
• 4th to 10th place receive 1x Golden Okey Chest.
  

Game Instructions
1. Left-click on the stack of cards to uncover the first 5 cards.
2. Earn points by selecting 3 cards. (Please note: Left-click = select card, right-click = permanently discard card)
3. The more points you have earned by the end of the game, the bigger your prize.

Note
1. You can interrupt your game at any time by pressing the “ESC” or “X” key. Changing maps or teleporting will end the current game!
2. A discarded card cannot be restored, so decide wisely!
3. A cancelled game will not be refunded! Decide whether the location of the game is right in advance.
4. The Okey Table will disappear from the game 7 days after the end of the event. Until then you can have a look at the contents of the Okey Chests. Rewards that are not picked up will expire and will not be refunded.
