Ranked: Seasons and Sprints

Would you like to find out how you can earn 500,000 credits for just a single battle and reduce your post-battle service expenses for the duration of a season? Learn how in the article below!
What are they, exactly?
Ranked Battles and Sprints are specific Player vs. Player battle types which have their own unique rules. Unlike Random Battles, it's not only the result of an individual battle which is important here, but also overall progress: by winning battles, you move up the ranking ladder to reach more valuable rewards.

Special features of Ranked Battles
- Battles are held on same-tier ships.
- Your progress is designated by a number—a Rank. The higher the Rank, the better rewards you get. Players climb the ladder from their starting rank up to Rank 1.
- Every victory brings the victorious players a star. Collecting the required number of stars earns you the next rank.
- You lose a star for a defeat. As a result, you can lose ranks you've already attained, but not the rewards you earned for attaining them.
- Some ranks are irrevocable and impossible to lose. These provide a safety net to sustain your progress.
- Upon reaching Rank 1, you'll obtain the main rewards and finish the season.
- Ranked Sprint is a simplified version of the Ranked Battle season, and it's perfect for those who want to get acquainted with this game mode.
Special features of Ranked Sprints
- A Ranked Sprint has more irrevocable ranks than a Ranked Battles season, and requires fewer stars for progressing.
- Sprints last for 10–12 days and are mostly played on Tier V–VIII ships.
- They usually include 10 ranks and 21 stars. It's enough to play about 50 battles to obtain all the rewards.
- You can participate in Sprints in a Division with your friends.
- Ranked Battles seasons last longer but provide more rewards.
Special features of Ranked Battles seasons
- You need to earn more stars to reach the next rank than in a Sprint.
- Battles are usually played on Tier IX–X ships.
- You need to earn more stars to reach Rank 1 than in a Sprint. There are 18 ranks and 55 stars in total, but you'll be rewarded appropriately.
What are the rewards?
Various rewards await you, depending on the battle type and time you are ready to devote to fighting.
Rewards of the Ranked Sprint

- You'll receive
500,000 credits for your first victory.
- For several victories that follow, you'll be rewarded with combat signals—an excellent bonus that will help you in your battles for the next ranks.
- Middle ranks will reward you with special signals, which significantly increase the amount of XP and credits you can earn.
- Rank 1 will bring you
10,000 Coal. This resource can be exchanged for ships and various in-game items in the Armory.
Rewards of the Ranked Battles season

- The first several ranks you achieve will bring you
500,000 credits; combat signals; and about 1,000 Steel—a rare resource that can be exchanged for ships in the Armory. You'll also be offered the option to supplement any missing amount of Coal with Steel if you lack a sufficient amount of the resource when exchanging it for in-game items.
- Middle ranks will provide you with expendable camouflage patterns, special signals, and even more Steel.
- The best players will obtain a large amount of expendable camouflage patterns;
2,500 doubloons; 1,000 Steel (5,500 in total); and a Ranked Token—a resource for the Armory that can be exchanged for rare permanent camouflage patterns.
League Flags obtained in a Ranked Battle season deserve a special mention. Mounting such a flag on your ships will reduce the cost of their post-battle service. For example, the Flag of the Second League, which is obtained at Rank 10, will save you 10% of the credit cost. For a Tier X ship, this means saving

- XP for fighting in Ranked Battles is taken into account for daily container progress, some combat missions, Directives, and other in-game activities.
