Both World of Warships and EVE Online are free-to-play, so if you’re new to either game, don’t hesitate to download and try it out before purchasing any bundle. But don’t mull it over too long—these special bundles will only be available from September 22 through 27!

IMPORTANT! Because the update is still being tested, the information in this bulletin is tentative and reflects the state of game development at the time of its publication. Some changes and new features may be removed entirely or implemented differently by the time the update goes live. Screenshots, specific values of certain characteristics, and details of in-game mechanics won’t necessarily be relevant after the update is released.

Please note: The rewards for activities on the Public Test Server may differ from those on the Live Server.

[h2]Halloween[/h2]
Update 12.9 brings forth a new Halloween Operation from the eerie dusk! You can take part in the Last Chapter Operation and finally bring to an end the conflict between the Forces of Light and the Twilight fleet. This time, you need to escort Transylvania and protect her from enemy forces as she travels on her way to deliver a special explosive to destroy the Portal once and for all!

You can participate in Last Chapter playing your own Tier VIII–IX ships of all types. Their appearance will be changed with a themed black-and-gold camouflage with special visual effects. All ships will receive special modifiers to even out their performance in the Operation.

Additionally, your team's ships will receive extra buffs each time one of your teammates' ships is destroyed, giving you a chance to complete the operation even if your team suffers multiple ship losses.

As in previous Halloween events, the map is covered in Filth, and it gradually damages ships if they linger too long in it. Transylvania is surrounded by a safe zone that moves with the ship; however, her magic weakens over the course of the battle, causing the safe zone to become smaller until it reaches its minimum size.

[h2]Japanese Battleships in Early Access[/h2]
In Update 12.9 three new Japanese battleships—
, , and —will enter Early Access. To celebrate the occasion, Port Kure has been decorated.
During the Early Access period, Personal Challenges will again become available to all players.

The new Japanese battleships won't be available on the Public Test server.

[h2]Salvage for Victory[/h2]
During the event, you can use a combination of multiple in-game currencies to exchange them for points and fill a progress bar. Once you reach certain milestones, you can claim corresponding rewards. Some currencies may have limitations on the number of Points you can receive. Fill up the bar to 100% to receive the final reward!

Let's take a brief look at some of the upcoming events of Update 12.9. Full details will be published later in dedicated articles on our website.

[h2]Road to New Year[/h2]
We're starting the New Year celebrations early! Complete special mission chains to earn Arctic Tokens that can be used to purchase containers in the Armory—the container selection refreshes with each new update. Additionally, you will receive mystery rewards for completing some of these chains—more information about them will be revealed in the future.

The final reward for the event will become available in Update 12.11: you will obtain

for completing the final mission chain.
[h2]Black Friday 2023[/h2]
It's "Black in Black" time! Black B and other five new ships—Smolensk B, Iwami B, Lazo B, Brandenburg B, and Repulse B—are ready to join your fleet, so you can roam the seas in style.

[h2]Heroes of Might and Magic III[/h2]
The astrologers proclaim the week of Heroes of Might and Magic III in World of Warships!

Meet six epic new Commanders with individual voiceovers based on iconic heroes from the classic turn-based strategy game! Catherine Ironfist of the Castle, Mephala of the Rampart, Solmyr of the Tower, Sandro of the Necropolis, Nymus of the Inferno, and Gunnar of the Dungeon are ready to stand at the helms of your ships and lead their factions to victory! For this special crossover event, we've also added Heroes of Might & Magic’s iconic Kingdom of Erathia Griffin banner as a commemorative flag!

[h2]Battle Performance Bonuses[/h2] Starts: Sep 14, 08:00 AM CEST (UTC+2) Ends: Oct 12, 07:00 AM CEST (UTC+2)

Players can expect a variety of exciting rewards to celebrate the 8th anniversary of World of Warships, including battle performance bonuses for achieving certain combat results on all their ships, starting from Tier V. The reward mechanics will be similar to those from the previous New Year's Celebration in Update 0.11.11, which means that players will again be able to receive several rewards at once, all within the same battle.

The number of rewards received after a battle depends on the number of ships in your Port and the amount of Base XP earned in that battle. For example, a player with more than 300 ships in their Port will be able to earn four rewards in one battle: one reward for entering the battle with a ship and three additional rewards for effective performance in battle.

You cannot receive rewards on the same ship more than once. However, bonus rewards can be applied to any other ship of Tier V or above, if those rewards had not been previously applied to the ship. This way, you can still receive a reward for a ship without having to enter a battle with it.

[h2]Festive Rewards[/h2]
This year, rewards will be distributed differently, as players will now earn Festive Tokens. This change will shift the focus away from Tier X ships and allow players to access all rewards while playing other available ship tiers as well. Moreover, players will now have their choice of rewards.

Depending on your ship’s tier, you will receive the following number of Festive Tokens:

• Tier V–VII ships—30 Festive Tokens
  
• Tier VIII–IX ships—75 Festive Tokens
  
• Tier X ships and superships—200 Festive Tokens
  
• The reward for completing the Free Battle Pass track is 1,250 Festive Tokens

Festive Tokens can be obtained throughout Update 12.8 and will be removed with the start of Update 12.9. Unspent Festive Tokens will not be compensated once Update 12.9 goes live.

Festive Tokens can be exchanged for the following rewards:

• —6,250 Festive Tokens
  
• A single coupon for 50% off any Tier VIII ship that can be obtained for Doubloons—3,125 Festive Tokens
  
• The Interdimensional Shift permanent camouflage for —1,250 Festive Tokens
  
• Up to 7x “On a Retro Wave” containers—500 Festive Tokens per container
  
• Up to 110x Supercontainers—200 Festive Tokens per Supercontainer
  
• The Parallel Worlds patch—100 Festive Tokens
  
• Other rewards that are available for Festive Tokens include Common Bonuses, Special Bonuses, and Rare Bonuses containers, as well as packs of signals.

During the 8th anniversary celebrations, you can also obtain the Parallel Worlds flag, Parallel Worlds patch, and themed Commanders delmar_83, Doktor von Roth, and General Greenwood with unique voiceovers.

We have prepared a few special events in which you can obtain these Commanders. Details about these events will remain a secret for now.

The Parallel Worlds flag can be obtained by completing combat missions.
