World of Warships Anniversary
This year, World of Warships is celebrating its seventh birthday! We've prepared various activities for our players in honor of the occasion.
Seven Seas Collection
An important new feature that's also part of our birthday celebrations is the Seven Seas collection dedicated to historic ports that have been recreated in our game. The Seven Seas collection will let you take a fresh look at familiar locations from a new perspective and get to know some curious facts from the history of as many as 16 famous ports.

The collection elements can only be obtained from dedicated same-name containers. You can earn these containers by progressing through special chains of combat missions and also find them in free daily bundles in the Armory. Rest assured that those containers will be quite enough to complete the entire collection. The collection consists of four pages, with four elements on each.

Reward for completing a page: 1 day of Warships Premium Account.
Reward for completing the collection: bonus package for a Tier VII ship.
Note: The new collection will not be available on the Public Test Server.
Festive Rewards
To celebrate the Seventh Anniversary of World of Warships, we're bringing back gift bonuses for your performance in battles playing all ships of Tier V and above. This time, however, we've added an important enhancement—the ability to receive several gifts for a single battle!

[expand] [/expand]
If a player has 100 or more ships, they will be able to receive a standard gift for a battle played with a ship, as well as extra bonus gifts that depend on the amount of Base XP earned. The old rule that you can't get gifts a second time playing the same ship applies as well.

Extra bonus gifts can be applied toward any other ship they have not been applied to, so you can "score" a gift for that ship without the need to actually hit the seas for battle at her helm.

The bonus gift rewards depend on your ship tier:
  • For Tier V–VII ships, it's 1x Special Bonuses container
  • For Tier VIII–IX ships, it's 1x Rare Bonuses container and 1x Special Bonuses container
  • For Tier X ships and superships, it's 1x Supercontainer

The number of bonus gifts you receive after a battle depends on the number of ships you have in your Port and the amount of Base XP earned in that battle. For example, a player with a Port fleet exceeding 300 ships will be able to earn four gifts in one battle: one gift for entering battle with a ship and three gifts for effective action in battle.

The new Special Bonuses container drops Level 2 economic bonuses. 5x bonuses of one of the following types: "Credits +40%," "Ship XP +200%," "Commander XP +200%," "Free XP +600%."

The new Rare Bonuses container drops Level 3 economic bonuses. 3x bonuses of one of the following types: "Credits +160%," "Ship XP +800%," "Commander XP +800%," "Free XP +2,400%."

Warship Strike
One of the fresh activities that's getting released with Update 0.11.8 involves challenging AI in a new game codenamed "Warship Strike," inspired by a classic naval combat game. You can access the game via the Armory. You'll need a special resource—a Strike Pass—to unlock access to it and play. Strike Passes can be earned by completing special combat missions.

You can pause any ongoing battle at any time and return to it later, and your progress will be saved. Battles can also be completed automatically. In that case, the AI completes the battle for you. The battle results will simply appear on the screen, and you'll receive all due rewards in the form of Festive Tokens. These are issued for sinking enemy ships and winning battles.

[expand] [/expand]
You can exchange these Tokens in the Armory for the option that suits your needs best:
  • Permanent camouflages
  • Bonus packages for ships
  • Economic bonuses
  • Containers with signals and resources
  • Credits

Reworked Operations
In Update 0.11.8, we've reworked all Operations in the game. The purpose of these changes is to give you the opportunity to participate in Operations playing more of your favorite ships and earn valuable rewards along the way.

Now, Tier VI to VIII ships can be matched in battle at the same time, and the final team lineup will have an effect on the strength of the bots and post-battle earnings. The "fee" for re-entering battle with the same ship will be removed.

The economy in effect in Operations will change as well. Previously, players earned Stars for completing an Operation, and the rewards could only be obtained once. We've removed Stars altogether, and the rewards can now be earned by progressing through dedicated daily and weekly combat missions specifically designed for Operations. The rewards are Community Tokens.

The Operation of the Week won't be available in Update 0.11.8. When playing on a team where your allies are selected automatically, an Operation will be picked at random. You will still be able to select an Operation of your liking when you are part of a Division.

Update 0.11.8 brings back the following three Operations for the revamped game mode: The Ultimate Frontier, Hermes, and Cherry Blossom.

Changes to the Reload Mechanics
We've changed the gun reload mechanics that are applied when switching shell type.

With the "Gun Feeder" Commander skill active, the shell type will now switch faster even if not all main battery guns are completely reloaded after a salvo (which was required prior to the change for the skill to take effect).

Shells now have a new parameter—"shell-type switching time."
  • If the current gun reload time exceeds the shell-type switching time, shell switching will not affect the gun reload time.
  • If the current gun reload time is shorter than the shell-type switching time, the gun reload time when switching shell types is equal to the shell-type switching time.

The Gun Feeder skill bonus applied to shell-type switching time has been changed from –50% to –40%. For example, if the standard gun reload time is 30 seconds, the shell-type switching time with the Gun Feeder skill activated will be 18 seconds, but the following should be kept in mind:
  • If the remaining gun reload time is 20 seconds and you switch shell type, the reload time will still be 20 seconds.
  • If only 5 seconds are left for the guns to reload, switching shell type will increase the gun reload time to 18 seconds.
The new mechanics apply to each turret individually. Shell-type switching time will be shown in a ship's tech specs.

Additionally, all researchable Italian battleships will have the "–30% to shell-type switching time" bonus applied by default, which means that it will apply even when the Gun Feeder skill is inactive. Activating the skill will further increase this bonus.

Speaking of Italian battleships, switching between shell types frequently is an important gameplay component. The extra bonus will emphasize this feature and increase the effectiveness of using the Gun Feeder skill compared to battleships of other nations.

Clan Battles: Sirenidae Season

Commanders!

Update 0.11.7. kicks off Season 18 of Clan Battles. It's named "Sirenidae." Sirenidae, or "sirens," are amphibious predators found in the Southeastern United States. They hunt for mollusks, prawns, and small fish. As opposed to other salamanders, which is the order they belong to, sirens can emit sounds. They're named after creatures from Greek mythology who lured sailors to a certain death.

Clan Battles offer an excellent opportunity to show off your skills in World of Warships. It's not only the results of individual battles that are important here but also general progress. Fight alongside your brothers-in-arms and rise to the top!

Win Clan Battles to earn valuable rewards such as Steel, Oil, days of Warships Premium Account, combat signals, Level 4 expendable bonuses, and a Clan Token. The more victories you achieve, the more rewards you'll earn.

Battles on all maps are fought in Domination mode.

[expand] [/expand]
The following rules apply for all maps:
  • Number of Key Areas: 3
  • Capture time: 30 seconds
  • Scoring capture points: 3 points every 4 seconds
Restrictions on Ship Numbers
Just like in previous seasons, certain restrictions on the numbers of specific ships per team apply in Clan Battles.

The restrictions can be set for the entire duration of a season or for specific periods of time. For example, they might be set after the first 2 weeks of a season then replaced with different restrictions a few weeks later. This allows us to promptly react to the current state of the season.

Season 18 begins with the following restrictions:
  • Aircraft carriers are not allowed in battles.
  • No more than one battleship per team.
  • No more than three mercenaries per Division.

These restrictions allow us to diversify the gameplay and increase the variety of setups in the season.

During the season, based on statistics, new restrictions may be added and existing restrictions may be changed. We will announce the changes separately on our Development Blog. Information about any changes will also be available in the game client.

Dockyard: Building Puerto Rico

Throughout Updates 0.11.7 – 0.11.9, the buzz and frenzy at the Dockyard will be all about building Puerto Rico. This ship is based on an American design developed during World War II.

The expiration of the Washington Naval Treaty in 1936 gave American designers free rein to come up with whatever they thought expedient to meet the needs of the Navy. By the end of the 1930s, a stringent situation had emerged in the Pacific, exposing the United States' need for heavy cruisers to effectively protect communication lines and aircraft carrier formations. Simply said, the country needed a strong ship with great firepower, high speed, and effective armor. By the year 1940, several projects had been created. The CA-2D design was the largest of them in terms of size and outnumbered all the other ones in main battery guns. This is the very project we used as a prototype for X Puerto Rico in our game.

She’s armed with twelve 305 mm guns placed in four main battery turrets. The cruiser's AP shells have good damage-dealing capabilities and enhanced ricochet angles. The ship also has a large HP pool and solid armor protection. The cruiser is best suited for duels at medium to long ranges, but at the same time, she’s no less effective in supporting allies with her good AA defenses to repel enemy air attacks. Her Surveillance Radar is a must-have when capturing Key Areas.
Event Rules
• The construction process at the Dockyard comprises 40 phases.
  • The combat missions span Updates 0.11.7; 0.11.8; and the first 3 weeks of 0.11.9. The Dockyard itself will remain in your Ports until the start of Update 0.11.10.
  • In total, you can progress through 34 out of 40 shipbuilding phases by completing combat missions.
  • You can advance through shipbuilding phases by completing Dockyard missions or spending 1,750 Doubloons to pass through each phase.
  • If you want to complete shipbuilding phases at a discount, you can purchase Starter Packs: 12 phases in exchange for 12,000 Doubloons and six phases in exchange for 7,500 Doubloons. However, these packs will only be available to purchase prior to the point in time when you complete four shipbuilding phases by finishing combat missions.

Go to Armory

[expand] [/expand]
If you decide to complete the construction of X Puerto Rico by spending Doubloons, you'll still be able to progress through the Dockyard combat missions. However, in that case, you'll get 250 Steel for each completed phase instead of the usual rewards.

If you already have X Puerto Rico, completing her at the Dockyard will bring you a Puerto Rico Certificate. This can be exchanged in a special section of the Armory—Dockyard: Certificate Exchange—for one of the following rewards: 35,000 Doubloons; 33,000 Steel; or 63,000 Research Points. Note: If you want to purchase something with Coal, we recommend choosing Steel as your reward and taking advantage of the Steel-to-Coal conversion on the Armory purchase screen. If you do not exchange your Puerto Rico Certificate for one of the available resources before the release of Update 0.11.10, you will automatically receive 35,000 Doubloons when the update goes live.
Combat Missions
The new game event tasks you with completing 90 combat missions spread across 10 groups. The first group will become available with the release of Update 0.11.7, while those that follow will be unlocked each week.

Completing the first six groups will progress you through three shipbuilding phases each—two phases for accomplishing certain missions and one for finishing the group. Completing each of the remaining four combat mission groups will progress you through four shipbuilding phases—three for accomplishing certain missions and one for finishing the group.
