Helldivers 2's game master says that Liberty is temporarily bugged

There's nothing quite like the feeling of belly-flopping onto the extraction ship in Helldivers 2, knowing that you've successfully contributed to the galactic spread of freedom and liberty. Sadly, freedom and liberty are currently bugged. Helldivers 2's game master says the dev team is currently working on a problem with the Galactic War tracking system, and that's before we even get to the latest batch of crashes.

Having trouble inviting friends to your game in Helldivers 2? So far, Helldivers 2 has had its fair share of bugs and errors, though most have been ironed out, and the game continues to get updates, players are still having trouble inviting friends on different platforms to their game.

Arrowhead has confirmed they are working on a fix for the issue players are having with inviting friends in Helldivers 2, with the latest patch 1.000.103 not solving the issue. The bug itself prevents PC and PS5 players from accepting friend requests, stopping them playing together. There is however, a workaround that we've found that bypasses the screen where you send friend requests to cross-platform players.

Been stuck on the same Helldivers 2 difficulty for ages? Well, you should be free soon, if you aren't already

While Helldivers 2 is usually pretty fun, it's probably quite difficult to enjoy if you're stuck on a certain mission difficulty setting and have been unable to progress beyond that point since close to launch. Thankfully, Arrowhead's been busy working through fix requests from over a million players who've ended up in that scenario.

Yup, while simultaneously keeping the soldiers of Super Earth occupied as they plough on with what's been a very successful campaign against the Terminids so far, the developer's working through some pesky issues with the game. Ok, as we learned uin the most recent patch notes, cross-play friend requests are sadly still in the process of being sorted, but here's one problem that should be gone for those affected very soon, if it isn't already.

In a post on Helldivers 2's official Discord server, community manager Spitz has outlined what Arrowhead's been doing to help free folks who've foround themselves unable to progress and do missions beyond, say, difficulty level three. "Earlier today," they explained, "we ran through a bunch of manual progression requests to fix locked difficulties for about 1,300,000 players who hadn't been able to unlock them normally.

Nice, Helldivers 2's latest patch stops you from accidently destroying your own mech with a stray missile

What's that coming over the hill? Don't worry, it's not a swarm of Terminids, it's a brand new Helldivers 2 patch, full of the usual fixes and tweaks. What are the headliners this time? Well, if you've ever accidentally destoyed your own mech by firing a missile mid-turn, I've got some good news for you.

With a fresh major order having been issued yesterday and challenging the soldiers of Super Earth to plough on with what's been a very successful campaign against the Terminids so far it's a nice time for a fresh update to arrive. Especially since folks have been worrying about a new foe potentially landing on Super Earth’s radar soon.

As outlined in the notes for patch 1.000.103, its main targets are the EXO-45 Patriot exosuit and the dangerous planetary hazards you can run into while out on missions or fighting the good fight on alien worlds, both of which are relatively recent additions to the game. First of all, lets talk about the exosuits. Have you ever accidentally managed to destroy one you're piloting by firing a missile while you're turning? Well, the bug that was causing that should now have been fixed, reducing the potential for expensive embarassment.
