Helldivers 2 mod turns the FRV into a souped-up Crazy Taxi, so naturally here's a video of it running down Voteless while blasting The Offspring
As you're probably aware, Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead gave players the game's first driveable vehicle when it deployed the Omens of Tyranny update. It's called the FRV, and it's an off-road jeep - or at least it was until modders got their hands on it. Now, one's made the inspired decision to replace it with Axel's iconic cab from Crazy Taxi.

Sigh. Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead's CCO and longtime figurehead Johan Pilestedt has tweeted that his philosophy is to "make good games, don't make a contemporary political statement". Which, you know, is a bit of a weird thing to say when a whole bunch of games - Helldivers 2 for example - clearly manage to easily be good and explore political themes by their very nature.

With the calendar having rolled into 2025, the studio behind one of last year's biggest games certainly doesn't sound like it plans to rest on its laurels. Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead's CCO and longtime figurehead Johan Pilestedt has seemigly suggested that the long-term plan could well end up being this second game "growing into" its successor through updates.
