Helldivers 2's new Doubt Killer armour triggers a wave of doubt as to whether players are cool with paying almost the price of a full Warbond for one Superstore suit

Helldivers 2's latest Warbond, Truth Enforcers, arrived in-game earlier today, bit it looks like the armour set that's dropped via the Superstore just after it that's arguably attracting even more player attention. Some of that's for good reasons, as it looks nice, but it's also causing a lot of folks to question whether it should cost them so many Super Credits.

It's quite possible Helldivers 2 might be my pick for the best game of 2024. It's easy to forget quite how much the bombastic co-op game took over popular culture at launch - especially with later problems such as balance concerns and the PSN account linking fiasco. Finally, however, it feels like developer Arrowhead has managed to climb back atop the hill. Recent Steam reviews sit at 90% positive. Key tweaks have brought back that rewarding satisfaction of blasting through bugs and bots alike. And now a new Warbond has arrived to give us new ways to mete out justice and liberty on those who would challenge Super Earth.

Helldivers 2 patch 01.001.201 sees Arrowhead ditch its previous Punisher Plasma tweaks and puts on a "dignified funeral" for a technician's goldfish

Helldivers 2 just got a fresh patch, patch 01.001.201, and while it's not quite as beefy as those released as part of Arrowhead's just over 60 day plan, it's still got a lot of stuff in it. For example, there are a heap of fixes to bugs involving bugs and a big change to the Punisher Plasma.

Er, Helldivers 2 folks, you might want to start emplying some of the more dramatic post-Liberty Day hangover abatement techniques in your arsenal, if you're still suffering from the effects of freedom overindulgence.
