HOT FIX 01.001.001
Overview
• Fix for SH-32 Shield Generator Pack
 • Crash fix
Fixes
• Fix for a crash during host migration when a new player joins.
 • Helldivers were accidentally granted the SH-32 Shield Generator Packs from General Brasch´s personal stash. These are reserved for 10 star generals only. The workers at the distribution center have been sent to re-education camps and regular shields will resume distribution.
Known Issues (Same as last patch)
These are the highest priority issues that were either introduced by this patch and are being worked on, or are from a previous version and have not yet been fixed. This is not a comprehensive list.

Top Priority:
 • Players may not receive Friend Requests sent from another platform
 • Large units have no audio cues, allowing them to sneak up on players
 • Enemies will try to shoot the generators through walls in the Rescue High-Value Assets mission
 • Enemies are sometimes capable of shooting through walls
 • Social menu is stuck on ‘Please Wait Democratically’ for some players
 • Dead bodies of Chargers can launch the Helldiver into the air
 • Stratagem balls bounce unpredictably off cliffs and some spots
 • Players may sometimes be unable to join specific friends, or are returned to ship when joined
Medium Priority:
 • Reinforcement may not be available for players who join a game in progress
 • Mines may become invisible or may disappear in Multiplayer lobbies
 • Pelican-1 may sometimes be launched away if hit with an impaler tentacle
 • Supply packs may be incorrectly used if pressing down on a controller while calling in a stratagem
 • Friends "Invite only" games can still be seen on the Galactic War Map but cannot be joined
 • High damage weapons will not detonate hellbombs
 • Some enemies that bleed out do not progress Personal Orders and Eradicate missions

UPDATE: Helldivers 2's shield generator melee invincibility bug has been fixed, but you'll have to wait until the next patch for jump pack tweaks

UPDATE (18/09/24, 3:00 PM BST): Arrowhead has now deployed a hotfix that fixes the shield generator pack, as well as a crash which can occur "during host migration when a new player joins". The studio has urged those currently playing to restart their game, presumably to make sure this update gets applied right away.

As Helldivers 2 gets a nice player number bump following "the best patch ever", Arrowhead challenges them to outdo both the bugs and bots

Helldivers 2's much-hyped Patch 1.001.100 dropped yesterday, with enough buffs and tweaks that you might just have finished reading through the patch notes by now. Thus far, plenty of players are flocking back to the game to try it out, and Arrowhead's issued a fresh Major Order to give them something to do other than waxing lyrical about loving the changes.

You're now much stronger against tanks and armour in Helldivers 2, as Arrowhead patch for "more versatile" tactics

Last month, Helldivers 2 studio Arrowhead thrust a white flag out from their shelled position in an attempt to placate mutinous fans of the co-op shooter. In response to a community sentiment best summed up by a popular Reddit post titled “Let the super earth burn”, Arrowhead released a statement. “In short, we didn’t hit our target with the latest update…what matters most now is action. Not talk.” Said action (which, it must be pointed out, felt a bit troublingly reactive to the loudest and most histrionic voices in the roo..uh, subreddit) was foreshadowed in a list of issues to be tackled over the coming months.

Helldivers 2's big update, Patch 1.001.100, is finally here, bringing a bunch of highly requested buffs and changes

Helldivers 2's much-hyped latest update, Patch 1.001.100, is finally here, brining with it a bunch of buffs and tweaks players have been requesting to everything from weapons, to armour, and even enemies.

Arrowhead's been busy hyping up this update by announcing some of its headline contents on a daily basis ever since it penned in today, September 17, as the date it would drop, via a blog post that also included some stuff you can expect to see in the patch. It's still worth having a look through the full notes, though.

You can do just that by checking out the 4000 word-ish long patch notes from Arrowhead, which run down all of the changes and fixes all in one place, using the kind of familiar format you should hopefully find relaxing. There's also full 35 minute-ish long video that sees Arrowhead developers Johan Pilestedt and Niklas Malmborg talk through a whole heap of the changes, so watch that if you don't find words relaxing.
