Some info about Helldivers 2's next warbond looks to have leaked via misbehaving PlayStation notifications

A little bit of information about an unreleased Helldivers 2 warbond looks to have leaked via some PlayStation notifications that aren't doing what they're supposed to. These messages contain just a few details about a gear pack that sounds like it'll be right up the alley of twisted firestarters.

Over the past few hours, a number of players have taken to Helldivers 2 subreddit to post a PlayStation new notifaction they've recieved. In all of these posts, the ping comes with the heading Viper Commandos, which is obviously the name of the last warbond Arrowhead deployed for the game.

The text underneath that title, however, defintely seems to pertain to a different warbond, possibly the next one that's set to arrive.

Helldivers 2 dataminers reckon they've uncovered a mission about defending Super Earth's president, and we're taping our mouths shut to avoid inappropriate jokes

Warning: Spoilers for Helldivers 2 may lie ahead.

Ok, here we go. Helldivers 2 has some folks who like to dig into its backend to try and find stuff. The latest things they've unearthed seem to like they could point to a mission that'd see the divers forced to save Super Earth's president from an attack. There are no jokes we could make here.

Before we delve into this, it's important to note that Arrowhead has recently pointed out that finds of this nature aren't necessarily things that're set to arrive in the game for real in future, and even if they do turn out to be just that, you'd be spoiling things for yourself. Still here? Right then, here's what you're looking for.

"Just. Make. Bomb. Go. Boom." - Helldivers 2's 500KG bomb is back in the firing line after a recent order

While they're still busy with their latest big task, a recent order in Helldivers 2 has seen criticism of the Eagle 500KG bomb come back to the fore. Why? Well, because it's still killing barely anything that doesn't lie within the epicentre of its blasts.

Hey, if nothing else, the fact we've returned to talking about a stratagem that folks have been wanting changed for a good while now could mean that Arrowhead is finally gathering data to help do just that. Plus it means a limit to the amount of chatter that can be being had about the idea of splitting enemy forces in two and whether or not that's a tactic that'd make Sun Tzu tear his hair out.

Arrowhead's been doing a lot of asking folks to kill a bunch of things using different weapons lately, with a recent example being it asking players via a Personal Order to do in 200 foes using the 500KG bomb. Obviously, you don't have to do every one of these orders, since all they do is provide some extra medals for your trouble, but the folks who have weren't best pleased to find that the device still doesn't do what they want it to.

Helldivers 2's latest Major Order is finally letting its armchair General Brasches see if their battle plans would make Sun Tzu facepalm

Yep, there's already another Helldivers 2 Major Order, because, if you missed it, the last one got blown through quicker than you can say 'oh boy, I sure can't wait to stomp some bugs'. Thankfully, this new one should take a bit longer, and even offers a chance for some of the community's armchair generals to see if they truly know ball when it comes to battle strategy.

If nothing else, it seems like a fun test for the forces that'll be getting their hands on an interplanetary battle station at some point in the near future, and will presumbaly be using it to get involved in plenty more interstellar battles.

"After an explosive force that took far less time than Super Earth High Command could have anticipated, there exists now one hundred million less fascist bugs in the Galaxy," this latest order reads, "Never underestimate the bug-killing capacity of Helldivers and an expanded arsenal! This application of controlled duress to the Terminid menace has resulted in some exciting findings, such as that the Terminids produce higher quality E-710 when harvested under extreme duress."
