HELLDIVERS™ 2 News

Helldivers 2 gets new stealth missions today, and its super-slimmed install size version is finally ready to take over

A new Helldivers 2 patch has arrived ahead of the slightly delayed Redacted Regiment warbond also making its sneaky debut today, January 22nd. In line with that warbond's stealthy shushness, this patch has seen Arrowhead add in new commando missions designed to reward those who know when to crouch-walk. They've also revealed that the slim build that's been in beta for a little while is finally ready to take the reigns from the standard version and its very chunky install size.

Into the Unjust: 5.0.2
Bang bang less…
[p][/p][p]Democracy doesn’t always need to shout. This patch is deploying some important updates to suppressed weapons, allowing Helldivers to eliminate threats with reduced detection and tighter tactical control. [/p][p]Expect quieter kills, cleaner engagements, and new opportunities for coordinated strikes before the enemy knows you’re there.[/p][p]Remember: stealth is a tool, not a substitute for overwhelming firepower. Use it wisely, Helldivers![/p][p]So where could you use these new tools? In the brand new Commando missions! Helldivers are going deep behind enemy lines where their normal reliance on air superiority is no longer an option. Reinforcements have to be deployed in advance and destroyer support is a risky business with limited time. The Commando missions will be activated later today (14:00 CET) alongside the release of the Redacted Regiment Warbond.

And, finally, after weeks of your input and stress testing, we are ready to make the slim PC build default for all players. We’ll keep the larger version online for a short time to ensure a smooth transition for everyone; so you’ll continue to have the option to switch back should you wish. Once this transition has been completed we’ll look to sunset the large build permanently in the near future. [/p][p]Much more to come in February and beyond. [/p][p]Finish the job for Super Earth.

Stellar Blade, Helldivers 2, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Black Myth: Wukong, Phantom Blade Zero, Gran Turismo 7 и другие тайтлы.

Shush, Helldivers 2's Redacted Regiment warbond is all about being sneakily stealthy and silently suppressed

Update: Arrowhead have announced that the Redacted Regiment warbond's release - originally planned for January 20th, but delayed due to a "key issue" found during testing - is now set to take place on January 22nd. The gear'll be going live at 1PM BST / 8AM ET / 5AM PT, following a patch at 10AM BST / 5AM ET / 2AM PT.

Original story follows:

Be very, very quiet. I'm hunting bugs. Or so will say the folks who don the gear of Helldivers 2's next warbond. It's dubbed Redacted Regiment and it's all about looking stealthy in a tactical fashion. As opposed to simply trying to hide in a corner because you're a coward, as I've unashamedly done numerous times while serving Super Earth.
