"Извини, бро": Helldivers 2 для PlayStation 5 и ПК не получит традиционную сюжетную кампанию

Разработчики Helldivers 2 не планируют добавлять в мультиплеерный шутер для PlayStation 5 и ПК традиционную сюжетную кампанию. Об этом сообщил новый глава Arrowhead Game Studios Шамс Джорджани, отвечая фанату, который хотел бы увидеть в проекте эпичную историю с захватывающими моментами и драматическими эпизодами — и пережить её с друзьями в кооперативном прохождении.

A huge Helldivers 2 patch dropped yesterday, June 13, bringing with it more tweaks and changes than you can properly read through in less than half an hour. While it's generally gone down a treat among players, the revisions Arrowhead made to enemy and patrol spawning look like they might be the exception, with folks complaining of a sharp difficulty spike.

If you were busy washing your hair yesterday, not only did the hefty patch Arrowhead's had in the works for a little while now arrive, but the Viper Commandos warbond also deployed right on time. Sadly, it doesn't seem like being able to don a beret is helping players who're complaining of a post-patch increase in deaths and rage quitting.

As part of the patch, Arrowhead toned down the amount of heavily armored enemies which spawn during higher difficulty missions, filling in the gaps with more smaller enemies, as well as reverting patrol spawning back to what it was like prior to patch 01.000.300.

The latest Helldivers 2 patch is memorably titled 01.000.400, but for my money, it's hovering on the brink of being one of your gold-varnished "X.0" updates of note. It adds a fair few mechanics and makes various substantial adjustments to Arrowhead and Sony's liberty-humping, cheerily xenocidal squad shooter.

The huge Helldivers 2 patch that folks have been waiting for for a good liitle while now has just dropped and, well, it's just as hefty as Arrowhead had been teasing. Seriously, there are more weapon balancing tweaks than you can comprehend, and an entire separate post dedicated to help you understand why certain changes have been made.

That's in addition to the new mechanics that the developer had teased earlier this week having been added to the game. You certainly can't complain that Arrowhead isn't putting in plenty of effort to give folks what they want as it settles into its new approach to updates.
