Infestation: The New Z News

Dear Community,

 

A smaller patch to fix some issues, do some improvements and to disable the Christmas 2019 content. Quick note here: the Christmas 2019 event and content is disabled meaning that the Christmas trees are gone, Christmas loot is no longer spawning etc. although the major Winter event is still active and running.

Now, in this update we are also introducing a smaller feature called the Waypoint System.

We are working very hard on a bigger patch for 2.43 but for now this update was mandatory to be rolled out.

Overall Updates:

GENERAL:

• Removed all the Christmas content from the maps. Christmas 2019 event is fully disabled now.
• Fixed an issue related to trading game dollars where when players traded over 2.1 billion game dollars the game dollars number would show incorrect or glitch after trading.
• Fixed / improved overall server stability and connection.
• Fixed an issue causing the report message box to stay open and bug your game after you revive yourself.
• Fixed backpack name text being too large for it's container. Sometimes the text wouldn't properly resize when it was too long.
• Increased the clan territory transport spawn protection from 5 to 10 seconds. 

TAUNTS:

• Added a new taunt: "Dance V1".

WAYPOINT SYSTEM:

• Added a new system: The Waypoint System. Using this system players can mark a location on their minimap. This location will only show for yourself. You will be able to see the set waypoint on your minimap, in the in-game HUD and in the HUD compass. This will make it easier to travel to a set location without having to open the minimap all the time.
  
  
  
  

SLICER ZOMBIE:

• The new slicer zombie is almost ready! We are currently doing final testing so we can 99% sure say that in the next upcoming patch the new creature will be released into the worlds of New Z! Now, one of the things left to do for us is to decide it's spawn behavior. When should it spawn, and where. If you guys have any ideas feel free to let us know in the comments!
  
  

 

Item & Skin Updates:

FIXES:

• Fixed the K. Style NVG Devil Horn textures. The skin wasn't using the correct textures.
• Fixed the iron sight for the AK-12. There was two iron sights colliding with each other before. (Example of the fixed issue: https://prnt.sc/qnefui)
• Fixed the description of the L85 Christmas 2019.

CHANGES:

• Improved overall assault rifle statistics. We are currently working on advancing and balancing out even further for the assault rifles but in this patch we have made tweaks already to the system that affects all the assault rifles at once.

REWORKS:

• Reworked the store icon for the Light Gear and it's skinned variants.
• Reworked the store icon for the Medium Armor and it's skinned variants.
• Reworked the store icon for the MTV Armor and it's skinned variants.

IMPROVEMENTS:

• Improved the iron sight for the Thompson. Also fixed this for the skinned variants.
• Improved the iron sight for the AS VAL. Also fixed this for the skinned variants.

 

Open World Updates:

LOOT:

• Decreased chances on super zombies for: AR Stock, AR Barrel, Sniper Stock, Sniper Barrel.
• Decreased chances on alien super zombies for common items making rare items a bit more common.

Oregon (OW):

• Updated the minimap. Opened up more of the playable area.

COLORADO V1 (OW):

• Fixed a miss-placed stair in Campos City where the players were able to look under the building.
• Fixed some miss-placed objects at the airport. Some were flying or clipping through other objects.

MIRROR FIELDS (PVP):

Now, let's jump into further details about this weekend's weekend event:

• West Oaks PVP Madness (PVP)
  West Oaks is back for this weekend event only! Next to bringing the map temporary back we enabled the no spread feature. Ready to snipe people with assault rifles? Good luck!
   
• Super Zombie Loot Upgrade (OW + SURV)
  In both the Open World and the Survival game-mode loot from the Super Zombies is upgraded. This means they are spawning better items, and the chances on rare items have been increased. Also, chances on common items have been decreased. This goes for all super zombies in all maps.
   
• Double Crystal Spawn Chance (OW + SURV)
  Drop chances for the Sapphire and Emerald Crystal(s) have been doubled. This means they are a lot more common and easier to find! For those who are unaware of these crystals: they are a part of the Winter 2019 event and when collected enough can be upgraded into a unique staff. • Battle Royale Double Skinbox Reward (BR)
  Skin boxes gained in the Battle Royale game-mode (when winning) will be doubled. This means you will win 2 Battle Royale skinboxes instead of one. Enjoy!
  
   

• ROUTINE: Battle Royale Map Rotation
  As always, the main and only Battle Royale map will be changed. This time we are changing over from Tropico to Arizona V2.

• MARKETPLACE SALE: Ultimate Skinbox 35% DISCOUNT + Some Ultimate skins available!

Welcome to the official Christmas 2019 event announcement!

 

Before we jump into any event details let's make it clear over what period of time this event is taking place:

Now, let's jump into the details of the event:

 

Double XP & GD:

• During this Christmas event there will be separate Double XP & GD events per game-mode. Also, there will be multiple moments that Double XP & GD will be activated. This means that it might happen that only a certain game-mode has a 'double' event active at a particular time. Here is exact moments per game-mode:

  Start: Saturday, December 21, 12:00 PM (CET) 2019.

Christmas 2019 Content:

• During the event we will release some new items. Here is a list and how to get them:

  • Christmas Box 2019:
    Will be available in the in-game marketplace and findable in-game but very rare.
    
     
  • Skins:
    The following will only be available from the Christmas Box 2019:

    The following will only be available from the Christmas Box 2019:
    
     
  • Character Clothes:
    Will only be directly available through the character customize menu. (You can buy them there)

Loot:

• During the Christmas 2019 event there will be advanced loot tables including all the items mentioned above spawning.
  All of the loot mentioned above will be spawning in both game-modes. However, for Survival, chances will vary and not be the same as in the Open World game-mode.
  This also includes:
  • Christmas themed zombies. (all game-modes) These zombies will drop and sometimes be equipped with Christmas themed items.
  • Christmas type of loot will be dropped all over the maps. (all game-modes)
  • (Upgraded) Winter secret spots will drop Christmas themed loot and spawn Christmas themed zombies.
    
    

 

Exclusive Ruby Staff PVE Loot Event:

• This time we are back with another exclusive item: the "Ruby Staff of Power". This melee is part of the three staffs that are released during the Winter 2019 event and this "Ruby Staff of Power" is the third being released ONLY during the Christmas 2019 event.
  
  How to get the staff? That basically works the same way as for the Emerald and Sapphire staff: Find the "Ruby Crystals" and:
  - For Survival: Craft a 100 Ruby Crystals into 1 Ruby Staff of Power.
  - For Open World: Trade in a 100 Ruby Crystals for 1 Ruby Staff of Power. (In the Trading Lounge through the repeatable mission)
  
  Remember! The Ruby Staff and Crystals are ONLY available during the Christmas 2019 event. 
  

 

Christmas & New Year's Sales:

• Throughout the entire event there will be special sales and flash sales. Stay tuned and keep an eye open in our in-game marketplace. Sales will be announced through the official Infestation: The New Z social media channels.

 

Christmas Secret Spots:

• In both Open World and Survival there is special dedicated Christmas themed secret spots in Colorado V2, V1, Caliwood and Oregon. Now, you might have already found one of the spots as we have to patch these in during a patch before the event starts. However you will then have noticed that Christmas loot hasn't spawned there yet. Christmas loot will simply be live on those locations as soon as the Christmas 2019 Event starts. Once again for Survival chances will vary and not be the same as in the Open World game-mode.
  
  Note: In this particular event the Christmas 2019 event overlaps with the Winter 2019 event. The secret spots are upgraded to a more Christmas themed - Winter secret spot.
  
  Check further under "Loot" to see further details about the loot.
  
  

 

Christmas Themed Trading Lounge & PVP map:

• The Winter Trading Lounge is upgraded to Christmas style. Show off your Christmas skins and trade Christmas items in style!
• The Winter PVP map is also upgraded to Christmas style.
  
  
  
  

 

Christmas & New Year's Giveaways:

• During the Christmas 2019 Event we will be doing a special giveaway. This giveaway will go through New Z's social channels so make sure to follow us and stay tuned for further announcements.
  
  

 

Christmas Battle Royale:

• Battle Royale loot will be revamped and Christmas themed items and zombies will be added!

A smaller patch this time to roll out the Christmas 2019 content. Next to this we have done some minor fixes and improvements. This patch is mostly to enable the Christmas 2019 content although this event won't start until tomorrow 12:00 PM (CET), Friday, December 20, 2019. Open World Updates:

TACTICAL EXCHANGE:

A new feature has been added for the Tactical Weapon crates. There is three available so called "Tactical Weapon Crates" in the Open World game-mode and un till now the only way of getting one of these boxes was by being extremely lucky finding one. For those wondering what you can get out of tactical crates: weapons & gear. The more rare the box, the more rare it's content. After this patch there will be an alternative way of getting one of these item boxes.

• Added three new type of coins:
  • Normal Tactical Coin.
  • Epic Tactical Coin.
  • Legendary Tactical Coin.

Any of the coins above can be found in the Open World servers or farmed from zombies. The normal coin is the most common variant and the legendary coin is the most rare one. After collecting coins, players can exchange them in the Trading Lounge (like the specialist system). Three new permanent missions have been added to the Trading Lounge (one for each box) and players will be able to exchange their coins there for tactical weapon crates.

• Added three new permanent exchange missions to the Trading Lounge:
  • Normal Tactical Exchange: Trade in 100 normal tactical coins and receive 1 normal tactical weapon crate.
  • Epic Tactical Exchange: Trade in 100 epic tactical coins and receive 1 epic tactical weapon crate.
  • Legendary Tactical Exchange: Trade in 100 legendary tactical coins and receive 1 legendary tactical weapon crate.

Please remember; this system is in Open World only.

LOUNGE (Open World):

• Updated the Trading Lounge to the Christmas variant and added Christmas trees and presents everywhere.

COLORADO V2 (Open World):

• Updated the Winter 2019 secret spots to Christmas themed secret spots.

COLORADO V1 (Open World):

• Updated the Winter 2019 secret spots to Christmas themed secret spots.

CALIWOOD (Open World):

• Updated the Winter 2019 secret spots to Christmas themed secret spots.

OREGON (Open World):

• Updated the Winter 2019 secret spots to Christmas themed secret spots.

CRAFTING SYSTEM:

• Fixed a bug related to the crafting system amounts.

BASE BUILDING:

• Fixed a bug that allowed players to ghost in to a base by re-logging.

• Removed the toxic super zombie spawns from Clearview.
• Increased the non-building area around Clearview.

After releasing the first Season Pass ever for Infestation: The New Z we have received A LOT of feedback. We proudly present to you: Season Pass 02. We have made this Season Pass based on all of your feedback and aim to have this fit more to New Z and it's player base.

The most important criteria point that we have used your feedback on is the price. Although in Season Pass 01 you'd get "what you pay for" back in terms of skin boxes and GC, it was still set to a very high base price for a lot of players. For some even to an unaffordable level. Season Pass 02 is a lot cheaper and set to a base price of 1500 GC. That is 3500 GC cheaper than the price of Season Pass 01! Next to all of this in Season Pass 02 players can get up to 500 GC back by completing the pass. This GC you can get back is extra next to all the normal rewards including skinboxes, unique skin recipes, sprays and more!

Next to the price you guys have complained about the duration. Season Pass 01 did indeed have a relative short period of time that players had to complete the pass. This was set to about a month. (even less) For Season Pass 02 we have increased the duration to 2 months+. We think this should give you all enough time to complete the Season Pass. To not over complicate things we have left the levels and XP needed to reach them the same, just so we can process the feedback in two segments. Price and duration were the most important so this is what we have focused on.

Season Pass 02 has been released and enabled at this moment and will end: 29 February, 2020 at 12:00 PM (CET).

Wondering what's in it for you before purchasing the pass? In the main menu there is a button called "Season Pass" where you can preview the Season Pass's content before purchasing the pass. Remember, XP progress on the pass only starts counting after you purchase the pass.
