Hey Market Tycoon Fans,

Welcome to update 1.5.2

So, it has been some time since the last update. We've been working on getting a new huge market which is exactly what this update is all about.

In this update, you will have a new market to play on which is about 4x bigger than the old bigger market. And with the countless items that you can get from the Steam Workshop thanks to our community, you will be able to fill up your new market with many items for your customers.

Of course, there are the usual bug fixes and minor improvements as always. We will continue with more patches and improvements for the few next small updates.

As for the next update we are looking to add new gameplay features like day/night cycle and different working shifts and many more.

This is the biggest content update to date for Market Tycoon. There are a lot of improvements and new features so let's get right into it.

First, continuing on what we started with the previous update (Introducing Workshop for Market Tycoon) You can now add wall and floor paint to Steam Workshop for Market Tycoon. You can view the updated guide here for more information on how to use the tool.

Now let's get to the exciting stuff.
New market! Yes! There is a new bigger market with this update. The new market is twice as big as the older bigger market. And the good news is, another even bigger market is on the works for the next update so stay tuned.

Another heavily requested feature is decorations, and so here it is. With this version, there are 12 different pots and plants to decorate your market and 5 indoor fountains and one wall-mounted fountain for you to add to your markets. Not only that, but we also added two posters a wall mounted poster and a standing poster in which you can choose an item to promote for better sales (More poster designs coming in a future update)

On top of the new decorations, we also added 5 new fridges, 5 freezers, and one new rack. We are very excited to see how you will use all those new features and content to create spectacular looking markets. As usual with any update, there are many small bug fixes and game balances and improvements. The graphic when placing an object has changed not to a grid visual that looks much better than previous updates and a new cool smoke effect when selling an object.

Please note that saved games prior to this version are not compatible with the new version.

Finally, we bring to you Steam Workshop for Market Tycoon.

This might be considered as the biggest update to Market Tycoon yet.

First of all, we added one new gameplay feature and that is global auto restock. You can now select what items to auto restock from the quick Stats & price change page instead of having to select what items to auto restock per location.

As a small team, creating and adding items would take a lot of time from us that we would love otherwise to spend in adding more gameplay features. And since the game revolves around creating your own supermarket, offering more items is the meat of the game. Unfortunately, when developing Market Tycoon there were no plans to add any kind of support for any user-generated content. But since Market Tycoon has grown and became more popular than ever imagined and since the release of the game, we received many requests to support Steam Workshop to allow the community to add more items to Market Tycoon. And so, we decided to almost rewrite the core code of the game to allow user-generated content to work with Market Tycoon. So here we are today, with the introduction of Steam Workshop for Market Tycoon the possibilities are endless. At the time of this writing, we've had the workshop up for a week for a small group of people to test things out and there are already over 60 ready to use new items to chose from. And now with the Workshop going out to the public, we look forward to what you guys can bring to Market Tycoon.

And this is just the beginning. For now, you can only add items but we will be working to allow you to add more than that. Very soon you will have the option to create objects like shelves, fridges, freezers, and decorations as well as floor and wall paint and even a whole Market. More information on that when the time comes, so make sure to join our discord server for more updates.

If you are interested in creating Items for Market Tycoon, make sure to first read Market Tycoon Item Tool Guide. We made it extremely easy to use the tool, all you need is a 3D model in .obj or .fbx format and any textures.

Steam Workshop for Market Tycoon is ready.

But before officially launching Steam Workshop for Market Tycoon to the public we would like to run a beta program first just to make sure everything is working as expected.

So, if you are a 3D modeler and interested in adding more items to Market Tycoon please join Market Tycoon Workshop Creators group

Members of the group will be granted access to the Workshop page for Market Tycoon and a closed beta version of the game that includes the tool for creating items to be added to Steam Workshop. You have to join the group to get access to the Workshop in the Beta phase.

Once you joined the group, head to the announcement tab on the group for further instructions.
