PUBG 4th Anniversary Letter

PUBG Anniversaries mean a lot to us. They’re a time to look back and be thankful for the success none of us expected and to thank all of you for the gift of that success. The fact that we have some of the best and most enthusiastic fans in the industry isn’t lost on us, so we try to make sure anniversaries are filled with fun ways to celebrate the reason we’re all here in the first place- YOU!

In addition to the events and contests going on, we wanted to spend some time putting together a short video about PUBG’s journey so far. It’s just another way for us to remember where we came from while looking at how far we’ve come along the way.

We hope you enjoy “PUBG: The Journey So Far” and Happy 4th Anniversary!

PUBG dev teases Karakin return and Miramar rework

PUBG Season 11 is only days away, but we've already got a glimpse of what's happening beyond that. PUBG's community coordinator 'Steve the happy whale' (great name) had a wee chat with fans on the battle royale's Discord server to gauge the mood after the update 11.1 patch notes went live.

The community coordinator confirms to one fan that Karakin is set to return to the map pool at a later date and that the PUBG team will be rotating maps in and out from the upcoming season onwards. As for a potential rework of the game's Miramar map, he says that one is coming, though the devs can't say when right now. He also says that the development team has been forwarded feedback on matchmaking and "drive-by" mechanics, though any action on those points may take a while to surface.

"It would not make much sense to make one change that would satisfy 2,000 players, [but] piss off two million players," he explains. "This is why suggestions can sometimes take time to reflect in game. It is not as simple as you may think it is, regardless of how trivial a change it is, unfortunately."

FaZe Clan reveals limited edition PUBG jersey

With the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Global Invitational.S well underway, one of the tournament's biggest teams, FaZe Clan, has today announced a special jersey collaboration with developer Krafton.

The jersey celebrating PGI.S - which is currently taking place in South Korea - "comes in black or red, and features the iconic FaZe Clan and PUBG logos as well as a tiger decal to pay homage to the PGI.S 2021." This is also a significant moment, as it marks the first time an esports organisation has had the chance to work with Krafton on official merchandise.

"We are honored to be the first esports organisation to work with Krafton on official merchandise, and further FaZe Clan's presence within the community," says FaZe's head of esports, Erik Anderson. "The passion our fans show on a daily basis is what drives us here at FaZe, and we hope they'll love what we've cooked up for them to wear while they're cheering for the team any given FaZe Sunday."
