Patch Notes - July 17th 2019



Greetings Adventurers,

This week, the waterpark festival is back! Visit the Terrmian beach to find a lot of quests and minigames! New Loyal Attendance rewards are waiting for you and two new furniture at the effigy of Nouver and Kutum will be craftable. We also improved the auto-fishing by adding a new feature and we made changes to some Rage Absorption buffs.

Content
  • New furniture Nouver Statue and Kutum Lamp were added.
    • These new furniture, Kutum Lamp made of Kutum fragments and Nouver Statue made with the hide of Nouver, are interactive furniture where you receive a buff in exchange for their durability.
    • The maximum durability of Kutum Lamp and Nouver Statue is 10.
    • When you interact with these items, you will receive the below buffs for 2 hours.
      • Kutum Lamp: All AP +15, Ignore All Resistance +5%
      • Nouver Statue: All AP +15, All Resistance +5%
      • All AP +15 does not stack
        • The two buffs can be active at the same time, but the two AP boosts will not stack.

*These furniture can be made with Manufacture.
  • Interior Points for both Nouver Statue and Kutum Lamp is 200 points each.

  • Ancient Kutum's Fragment and Nouver's Hide can be acquired at a low drop chance from Kutum and Nouver, respectively.

  • Special effects and color were added to the title of the winners of the 3v3 Arena of Arsha Official Tournament.

  • Added a feature to set the max grade of the fish you wish to auto discard during auto fishing.
    • Auto discard level is determined by fishing level.
    • Auto discard is only fish that are categorized as “Trade Items”. This does not include items such as Ancient Relic Crystal Shards or Washed-up Laundry.
  • Added the “Sherekhan ’ Extermination” description to the following titles’ requirements.

  • To celebrate the Terrmian Waterpark festival, the Old Moon guild is offering Old Moon Sky Balloon rides between Altinova and Terrmian for free.
    • The Old Moon Sky Balloon ride between Altinova and Terrmian will be free of charge from the newly-added Sky Balloon Station during the festival period.
    • You can use the Old Moon Sky Balloon Special Boarding Ticket with Altinova Old Moon Sky Balloon Manager Lisam and Terrmian Old Moon Sky Balloon Manager Momu to use the Old Moon Sky Balloon.
    • There are no Old Moon Sky Balloon routes to Calpheon and Valencia in Terrmian. Also, if you wish to travel to destinations other than Terrmian from Altinova, you have to purchase tickets with Black Stones as before.


System
  • Some zones had their escape points set somewhere too far from the zones, which took too much time and effort to return to, which in turn wasted buffs from food, elixirs, and villas. To resolve this, the following zones' escape point was changed to the zone's General Goods Vendor.

Developer’s Comment
We would have liked to announce that we've resolved all issues where characters get stuck in Hystria Ruins and other locations, but we require more time to do that. So with this patch, we've changed the location of where you are sent to when you escape to somewhere within the zone. As mentioned during Heidel Ball and our recent announcement, we know this is not a complete solution and we will keep working on it to resolve the issue.


Altar Blood
  • Fixed the issue where the Altar of Blood room did not reset as it should intermittently.

  • Improvements were made so that you can no longer be invited to a party while waiting for the Altar of Blood matchmaking.

  • Added the function of immediate entry to each of the Altar of Blood’s Illusions.
    • You can immediately enter only those Illusions that the party leader has previously completed.
    • You need Nightmare Fragments for any immediate entry.
    • For the immediate entry of each Illusion stage, the number of Nightmare Fragments required is as follows.
      • The 1st Illusion - x0
      • The 2nd Illusion - x1
      • The 3rd Illusion - x1
      • The 4th Illusion - x2
      • The 5th Illusion - x0
      • The 6th Illusion - x1

  • Fixed the issue where you could hit enemies behind pillars in the Altar of Blood.


Game World, NPC & Effects


Game World
  • Fixed the issue where grass was floating in some places around Trent.

  • Fixed the issue where the graphics of some of the structures of the Calpheon Castle Site were unnatural.

  • Fixed the issue where characters were unable to move in certain areas of Wizard's Altar.

  • Fixed the issue where movement was unnatural when you crossed a bridge in Calpheon City on a wagon in auto move.

  • Fixed the issue where characters were unable to move in certain areas of the Caphras Cave.

  • Fixed the issue where you could not pass certain areas of the Outpost Supply Port.

  • Fixed the issue where the framerate dropped in certain areas of the Battle Arena.

  • Fixed the auto navigation in Velia to be more natural.

  • Fixed navigation path from Sand Grain Bazaar to Altinova to be more natural.

  • Optimized certain effects to decrease file size.

  • Fixed the issue where characters were unable to move normally in certain areas of the Sycraia Underwater Ruins.

  • Hystria Ruins was expanded.
    • An old wall of the Hystria Ruins collapsed, revealing a new path to other areas of the ruins.
      More players can now make use of the monster zone in Hystria Ruins,
Developer’s Comment
Continuing the revamping of monster zones, this week we updated Hystria Ruins.
Adventurers have to prepare a certain level of equipment to enter Aakman Temple and Hystria Ruins and you must endure various obstacles, such as roaming the desert, so we think they should be more satisfactory for adventurers to conquer.
With this week's patch, Hystria Ruins is now more than twice its previous size, so now you can explore the area with ease.
The next location we're looking into is somewhat similar to the Hystria Ruins, the Hasrah Ancient Ruins.


Class Changes


Sorceress
  • Fixed the issue where the backside of the skirt moved unnaturally when the character ran while equipped with the Dahlia Nocturna Outfit.

  • Fixed the issue where the lower area looked awkward when the character walked backwards while equipped with the Bern Outfit.

  • Fixed the issue where the skirt’s backside was cut when equipping the Dahlia Nocturna Outfit and the Urugon Shoes at the same time.


Tamer
  • Fixed the issue where the Helmet was covered with the character’s hair when you selected Hair 5 after equipping the Puff Mini Helmet on.

  • Fixed the issue where the Cloak was too close to the character’s body compared to other characters when equipping the Snowflake Outfit.

  • Fixed the issue where you mounted your Heilang when moving items to your inventory.


Valkyrie
  • Fixed the issue where the character’s relevant body parts were displayed above the clothes when you equipped the fallen Garzar or Puff Mini Outfits after customizing Valkyrie’s thighs and arms too thick.


Witch
  • Fixed the issue where Magical Evasion was not triggered after using Detonative Flow when you shift from Awakening weapon to main weapon.

  • Fixed the issue where the character’s eyebrows were covered with the Coco Hat because it was worn too low.


Maehwa
  • Fixed the issue where the spot on her left cheek (preset 3) in customization (F4) was blurry.


Ninja
  • Fixed the issue where the character’s knees were erased when equipping the Akum Armor and the Muskan shoes together.

  • Fixed the issue where the character’s head was displayed above the helmet when you moved forward or leftward after equipping the Obsidian Arrow Hood.


Mystic
  • Fixed the issue where the gloves and the outfit overlapped when equipping the Blackstar Gauntlet after the Shudad Outfit.


Archer
  • Fixed the issue where the character’s ears stuck out of the helmet when you equipped the Kibelius Helmet after customizing Archer’s ears too large.


Shai
  • Changed the graphical effects of Florang using skills.

  • Temporary changes were made so that Shai cannot accept ‘My Little First Pony’ quest.
    • You will be able to accept the relevant quest when Shai becomes able to ride a horse after practice.
  • Changes were made so that the Santa Hat’s Dye Slot is displayed normally.

  • Fixed the issue where the EXP was applied abnormally when transferring Shai’s Alchemy/Gathering Life EXP to another character or transferring those Life EXPs from another character to Shai.
    • This will also apply retroactively for those who have already transferred EXP previously.
  • Fixed the issue where you could not accept one of the ‘Black Spirit's Gift (Inventory Slot and Black Stones)’ quests while progressing through the main quests ‘[Crossroad] The Lamenting Head of the League of Merchants’ and ‘[Crossroad] Each of Their Reasons’ with Shai.

  • Improvements were made so that Shai’s standby motions look more natural when using the Donkey’s “Just Chillin'” skill.

  • Fixed the issue where you could not obtain the Owl Horn-rimmed Glasses when you open the challenge reward [Event] Glasses Box with Shai.


Item Changes
  • Items that do not require fixing will not be selected anymore when you select Recover Max Dur.

  • Fixed the issue where the below residence install items already had their functions updated, but did not have the updates in the item descriptions.
    • Description: added HP, MP, WP, SP Recover +5000.

  • Added bonus Gathering EXP when you obtain a Caphras Stone from gathering.

  • Additions were made so that you can process the following equipment through Heating and obtain materials.

      • Material item: Trace of Violence x1-4, Pure Iron Crystal x1-4 (obtained by 25% chance)

  • Confirmed the issue where, among the Frenzy Draught effects, the Extra AP Against Monsters was applied as +30, different from what is being displayed. Hence changes were made so that +30 effect is correctly displayed and applied, rather than lowering the Extra AP Against Monsters effect to the previously displayed value of +20.

  • Fixed the issue where the NPC gifting gave more amity points than intended, which was previously updated to correspond to the item prices of the Central Market.

  • Fixed the issue where, within the knowledge details about the Nightmare Fragment, the number of production materials was wrong.

  • Fixed the description of the below items where they had repetitive trade information.
    • Red Nose's Blade Fragment
    • Giath's Mask Fragment
    • Bheg's Iron Mace Fragment
  • You can now see the appearance of Blackstar weapons in the Dye (J) menu.
    However, they are still not available to dye.
Developer’s Comment
Blackstar main weapons were not shown in the Dye menu, so it was difficult to match other gear’s colors with Blackstar weapons.
With this week’s patch, you can now view Blackstar weapons when dyeing other equipment.
  • Fixed the issue where the below scrolls had incorrect effects.
    • However, please note that these items will be disabled until next week’s maintenance as further measures are being finalized. We will share with you the details of this soon.

Mechanic Changes
  • Changes were made so that among the buffs you can obtain through Rage Absorption (Common) and Rage Absorption (Innate), the following buffs can be applied simultaneously with the same buffs.

    A. Critical Hit Rate +30% buff from Maehwa's General Apricot
    B. Critical Hit Rate +35% buff from Maehwa's Rage Absorption (Innate)
    The above buffs are displayed as 2 separate icons and both critical hit rate increase buffs from General Apricot and Rage Absorption are stacked.
    C. Attack Speed +20% buff from Maehwa's General Apricot
    D. Attack Speed +40% buff from Maehwa's Rage Absorption (Innate)

    The above buffs are also displayed as 2 separate icons, but Attack Speed buffs are not stacked. Therefore, the higher stat buff, the Attack Speed buff from Rage Absorption, is the only one applied.
Developer’s Comment
With this week's update, the most powerful of the Rage Absorption buffs, crit. increase, was changed to be stackable.
Now when you have a stackable Rage Absorption buff active and you receive another buff with the same effect, an additional icon will be displayed to show it.
However, please note that if you have a non stackable Rage Absorption buff active and you receive another buff with the same effect, you will still see another icon, but the effects will not be stacked.


Monster Changes
  • Fixed Giath to not display its name during the animation where it rips out of the Dark Rift.

  • Fixed the bosses from Dark Rifts to not attack characters under level 55 before being hit.

  • Fixed the issue where Red Foot Assassin’s monster underwear was displayed abnormally.

  • Doubled the time that it took a monster from the Aakman Temple’s upper area to reappear after dying and placed additional monsters.

  • Decreased the number of monsters from some of the Aakman Temple’s lowest areas.
Developer’s Comment
We ran the event that reduced monster respawn rate in Aakman Temple for a few weeks, which many adventurers enjoyed. And last month, we patched each of the “rooms” so that they each have different spawn times and to have similar efficiency in monster hunting. However, some rooms had too many monsters spawning, so we had to tweak either the number of monsters or their respawn times.


Quests & Knowledge


Quest
  • The completion NPC for the "[Awakening] Artifacts of the Naga" quest will not disappear right after completing the quest anymore, and the completion dialogue has been fixed to be more natural.

  • The body of the naga near the relic at the Extraction Mill will not sink into the ground anymore when you touch it.

  • The completion NPC for the "Atonement" quest will not disappear right after completing the quest anymore.

  • Content was added to the description of the "Torenandu's Declaration of War" quest to help understand the quest better.

  • Navigation path was improved so that you can easily climb the altar for the "[Awakening] Wizard's Altar" quest.

  • Quest NPC for the "Leaping Over Rhutums Elites" quest was changed from Elinke Visamin to the soldier standing on the right of Elinke Visamin.

  • Updated the quest completion description and quest location for "The Story of the Hero Borne Upon the Winds" quest so you can eavesdrop more easily.

  • Quest completion goal and dialogue was changed for the "Encarotia's Signal" quest to make it feel more natural.

  • Fixed the quest requirement for some main quests to display the correct information in the Quest List (O).

  • Quest completion goal and dialogue was changed for the "Curiosity Becomes Fear" quest to make it feel more natural.

  • More Xian Merchant Guild supplies will arrive to help complete "The Emotional Supply" quest.


Knowledge
  • Fixed the issue where some quests were shown as requiring knowledge when you go through the Awakening quest of a class you have already acquired Awakening knowledge for.

  • If you already have the Awakening knowledge, it will not be displayed as required in the quest list.

  • Fixed the issue where you could buy a knowledge that was already bought from an NPC.


Interface Changes
  • Fixed the issue where Shai's reflections were unnatural in the Pearl Shop (F3).

  • Now you cannot click the skip animation button during the animation of equipment enhancement, Caphras enhancement, and Devour.

  • Fixed the issue where the message to load temporary customization save file popped up even when you closed the customization (F4) menu.

  • Fixed the issue where the scroll bar continued to scroll down when you select screen resolution in the settings.

  • Fixed the issue where text was displayed abnormally in the UI when automatically shortened.

  • Fixed the issue where font change was not applied to a deleted or a newly created chat window.

  • Fixed the issue where the camera did not properly focus when you zoom in to your character's face with the Depth of Field option on in remastered or ultra mode.

  • Fixed the issue where the amount of silver you have in the Central Market storage did not display minus numbers between 0 and -1000.

  • Added an option in the Knowledge (H) menu to toggle the knowledge information displayed next to monster names.
    This can be toggled in the Knowledge (H) menu and is turned off by default.

Developer’s Comment
It is always a pleasant surprise when you acquire S knowledge from monsters you meet everyday. Some even make this their goal to collect all S knowledge. However, it was always a hassle to search the knowledge menu to see what knowledge you have for each of the monsters.
With this week's patch, you can now see them next to the monster's name. However, since it could be misunderstood by new players as the monster's grade or level, the feature is turned off by default.
  • Added a bookmark feature to the Adventure Log.
    • Each page of the log can be bookmarked. Simply click to activate it after opening up a log.
    • The log opens to the bookmarked page.
    • Only one page per log can be bookmarked.
  • New level up information menu was added.
    • This window shows your increased HP, skill resource, weight, learned skill, and learnable skills.
    • The level up information window can be hidden by pressing the ESC key.
    • The window is closed when you press the X button on the top right of the window.
    • Toggle to hide/show the level up window with the button on the left of the information window.
  • Added a button in the old and new ESC menu that links you to the official website homepage.
    • Pressing the button will open the official homepage on a web browser.
  • Fixed the issue where the Mirumok Ruins Entrance was displayed unnaturally in the minimap.

  • Fixed the issue where the hotkey was displayed abnormally when checking the quest summary of ‘Profitable Information’ in the minimap.

  • Changes were made so that the warning message of any nearby strong monster is not displayed before level 10.

  • Fixed the issue where the Knowledge (Ecology) On/Off UI went upwards when entering the Knowledge (H) Window.

  • Party/platoon members and guild members now have different icons displayed on the minimap.

  • Fixed the issue where it was difficult to click the scroll button in the level up information window.

  • Fixed the issue where incorrect text was displayed when joining a platoon.


Resolved Issues
  • Fixed some of the terrain of parts of the Altar of Blood.

  • Fixed the issue where bosses of the Altar of Blood continued attacks against players behind walls and did not deal any damage to them.

Greetings Adventurers,

Altar of Blood awaits to be conquered by the fiercest adventures! In this new game mode,
players must protect a relic from monsters and bosses appearing every stage. Come to the

Altar of Blood
  • Altar of Blood was added.
Developer's Comment
As announced at the Heidel Ball, Altar of Blood is a 3 player party defense mode.
After its introduction at the Global Lab, many adventurers gave various feedback on the Altar of Blood. Many found the use of their own characters and skills to be positive, which allowed for a variety of co-op strategies.
There were also feedback on the difficulty of the mode, questions on what will happen to the Altar of Training, and many others. We will continue to better the mode based on the precious feedback you send our way.
We plan to add a more variety of PVE content, like the Altar of Blood. Currently, one of the only places where you can make use of a fully geared character is out in the field fighting monsters. We aim to add more places for you to feel the satisfaction of making use of your hard earned gear.
  • According to records, the Altar of Blood is where sacrificial rituals to Kzarka were performed in ancient times, but was never seen again after it was sealed with the Gem of Balance.

  • However, Yaz and Orwen of the Secret Guards discovered the last traces of Caphras, the immortal alchemist, in the rubble of a house in Star's End, which in turn led to the uncovering of the secret altar that was hidden within the ash fog of the Blackstar.

  • You can enter the Altar of Blood after completing the "[Lv. 56] The Altar of Blood at Star's End" quest line from the Black Spirit with a character at or above level 56.
    • (You can find the quest in the suggested quests from the Black Spirit after activating the Combat quest filter)
  • The Altar of Blood is a 3 player party mode where you need to coordinate with each other to defend the relic from monsters charging in from all directions.
  • You can also enter the Altar of Blood through matchmaking, which will match you with other random players on the same server.
    • In order to join the Altar of Blood without forming a party beforehand, simply click on the button in the ESC menu or pop-up banner to enter the Altar of Blood and you will be randomly matched into a party with 2 other adventurers.
    • Please note there may be some waiting time for you to be matched into a party.


Altar of Blood Rules
  • The party leader can press the Enter button in the ESC menu to enter the Altar of Blood.


  • Party leader may be changed depending on the order of entrance (you can appoint party leader to anyone after entering the altar).

  • After entry, the party leader can choose which stage to start with.


  • You cannot exit the party in the Altar of Blood. (If you are forced to leave the party due to disconnection, you will exit the Altar of Blood).

  • When the party leader chooses the stage, 100 Energy is consumed and an NPC will appear.

  • Talk to the NPC in the middle to activate the blood relic, which will consume 20 additional Energy.

  • Upon activation, monsters will appear and attack the relic and your party must defend it.


  • Note that you will take massive damage when you venture too close to the Black Portals.

  • You can resurrect only via the resurrection skill of Witch/Wizard or the Medical Kit if you die in the Altar of Blood.

  • All character HP will recover and all dead characters will be resurrected when the boss is defeated.

  • Once the boss appears, the relic can no longer be damaged.


  • Defeating a boss will grant you the knowledge of the cleared illusion, which you need to progress to the next one.

  • When all three players die, the illusion stage is considered a failure and reset with all monsters gone and players are resurrected with full HP. Here, the party leader will see the menu to choose the stage.

  • You cannot use the Campsite, Maid/Butler, World Map, Quest UI, nor the Minimap UI in the Altar of Blood.

  • You cannot gain any Combat EXP nor Skill EXP by defeating monsters in the Altar of Blood.

  • Item Drop Amount/Rate Increase effects are not applied in the Altar of Blood.

  • With this week's release, you can progress up to the 10th illusion. Once you clear the 10th illusion, you will automatically exit the Altar of Blood. More stages will be added with future updates.


Altar of Blood Rewards
  • You can acquire the corresponding Heritage of the Forgotten by defeating the bosses of each of the illusions.

  • You have a very low chance to acquire the following defense gear boxes by using the Heritage of the Forgotten.


  • The type of item you receive depends on the grade of the defense gear box.


  • You can obtain better items the higher the stage you clear.

  • New Altar of Blood exclusive items were added.
    • Flare of the Ancients, Dim Origin of Clear Water, Dim Origin of the Crimson Flame, and Dim Origin of Earth.
  • Flare of the Ancients is effective only in the Altar of Blood.

  • All monsters within range will be stunned when the Flare of the Ancients is used.

  • Certain monsters or boss monsters of each stage are immune to Stun effect.
  • Added the Altar of Blood rankings page.

  • Added the Altar of Blood rankings menu.

  • If you fail to clear an illusion of the Altar of Blood while holding "Nightmare Fragments", you can consume them to restart at the illusion stage you were on.

Mounts
  • Fixed the issue where you sometimes could not move on a mount after disabling underwear view mode.

  • Fixed the issue where you could not get off your mount and instead interact with the nearby NPC by pressing R while on a mount.
    • Now you can press S+R to get off the mount and not interact with an NPC.
    • Wild horses can only use this function after it is registered at a stable.
Developer’s Comment
When we announced that we would add the function to interact with NPCs while on mounts, many adventurers welcomed the idea.
However, after implementing the function, we received numerous feedback that it is difficult to maneuver mounts when the get on/off mount and the interact key are the same.
To resolve this issue and maintain the intention of the patch, we decided to add a command for getting off the mount.
We thank every one of you who gave us feedback on this.
  • Fixed the issue where you could no longer call your wagon once you activate a Trainer’s Flute.

Developer’s Comment
This week's Kunoichi update is based on the feedback you gave us, improving skill combos to increase efficiency in both PvE and PvP situations. Of course, we could've just increased the damage of each skill, but we decided it would be better in the long run to help players better their playability instead. We will continue to monitor collected data to adjust the stats and hope that this will be meaningful to Kunoichi players.
And of course, we will continue to adjust the balance of other characters as well.

  • Campsite buffs purchasable from campsite shops are now combined into one.

Quest

  • Changed the text displayed when you try to interact at the top of Cron Castle without the quest item during the "Memorial Service for the Fallen People" quest.

  • Changed the Mad Wolf summoned during the "Do or Die" quest to not summon baby wolves.

  • The Ghost of Ash Forest sensed something more powerful coming to Ash Forest and moved to a nearby location.

  • The quest area of the "Breath of the Ashen Dead" quest was changed to reflect the above.

  • Fixed the issue where the Black Spirit was automatically summoned after completing the "Human Calculator" quest.

  • Fixed the issue where a player who chose the option B during the crossroads quest had to talk to Geoffrey Erne after completing "The Gift of Calpheon" quest instead of being able to accept the "Encarotia's Signal" quest right away.
    • Players who chose option B can accept the next quest just like those who chose options A and C.
  • Arenda of Shakatu will now remember all the amity you've accumulated through her quest line even when she becomes younger.

Developer’s Comment
So far, the buff list was just divided into buffs and debuffs, which was difficult to read when there were too many. Many of you requested this improved and we promised we would do so at the Heidel Ball.
Now the buff list is divided into three parts; buffs given by items, buffs cast by characters, and debuffs. Also, buffs that can be combined into a group, such as Cron Meals, will be displayed as a single icon. For instance, Warrior's Executioner previously created 7 icons, but will now be displayed as a single Executioner icon.


Known Issues
  • We are aware of the issue that Shai cannot receive one of the Black Spirit's Gift (Inventory Slot and Black Stones) quests when selecting A ([Crossroad] The Lamenting Head of the League of Merchants) and C ([Crossroad] Each of Their Reasons) for the main crossroad quest. This will be fixed in next week’s patch.

  • We are aware of the issue where Guild Elephants cannot be called while having a Trainer's Flute activated. We will have this fixed with an upcoming patch.

Developer’s Comment
We received various feedback from numerous adventurers after the Heidel Ball. There were some points we never thought of before and some we changed priority levels to deal with earlier.
To answer to your call, we are preparing to review and make applications of your feedback in every week's patch.
This week, we changed guild skills so that Guild Officers can also use them. We plan to add more ranks, but added this feature first. We will implement more segmented ranks in a future patch.
  • Guild Officers can now use [Guild] Pledge of the Blood.
    • Added text to guild skills saying that guild officers can also use them.
  • Option for Keyboard LED Animation has been added to: General Settings → Misc.
    • RGB effects will be available for F1 ~ F8 and W, A, S, D, V keys for certain keyboards.
    • This feature is still in development. List of officially supported keyboards will be announced in a future Patch Note.

  • Fixed the issue where certain parts of the streets of Velia did not look natural.

  • Fixed the issue where characters could not climb up in certain areas of Wizard's Altar.

  • Fixed the issue where some unintended NPCs showed up for Find NPC, causing unnecessary log build up.

    • Background props were added to match the NPC's actions.


Mounts
  • Fixed the issue where the oars of the Epheria Frigate appeared in unintended positions.

  • The name and function of the Horse Flute was changed to the following.
    • Horse Flute → Trainer's Flute
    • Use the Trainer's Flute to call horses, donkeys, camels, and miniature elephants.
    • Trainer’s Flute cannot be used to call wagons and ships.
  • The mount icon for donkeys, camels, and miniature elephants will now be displayed in yellow if you have an activated Trainer’s Flute.

  • Fixed the issue where donkeys would turn around when attacked by another adventurer using a 100% Black Spirit skill while mounted.

  • Fixed the issue where donkeys would follow the player even after the player rides them into the water.

  • New icons and descriptions were added to the donkey mount information window indicating that skills acquired by donkeys are only usable by Shai.

  • Fixed the issue where the acceleration of horses was affected by the character's jump.
    • This issue occurred for characters who had items such as Magic Crystal of Nature - Ascension (Item effect: Jump Height +25) transfused into their gear.

Ranger
  • Fixed the issue where logging into a Ranger and using a resource consuming skill sometimes caused the character to stop moving.


Musa
  • Fixed the graphical issue of the Durandal Outfit Set where the collar looked awkward during Awakening combat stance.


Dark Knight
  • Fixed the process of going into Awakening combat stance by pressing the C key, while pressing the W key, and then pressing the Tab key in the process to return to idle stance to be sequenced more naturally.


Mystic
  • Fixed the issue where her hair was in a fixed position and color changed when equipped with a Coco Hat.


Shai
  • Fixed Shai to be able to auto-run even when not in combat stance.

  • The Wild Spirit Stone can now be used in Processing (Grinding) to obtain Mystical Spirit Powder.

  • Fixed the issue where the [Event] Golden Bell could not be stacked.

  • The interior point for Cosmic Dawn Chandelier was changed to match other chandeliers.
    • Before: 85 points
    • After: 250 points
  • The Cosmic Dawn Chandelier was changed to have +8 interior points if there are no items nearby its location.

  • Fixed the Alchemy Stone Shard tooltip to display the correct amount of required Black Stone Powder.

Quest
  • Fixed the issue where the dialogue for the quest "Finding a Way Out" was awkward.

  • Fixed the issue where the quest guide for the "Even a Small Piece" quest took you to a location where you could not make interactions.

  • Fixed the reward information of some quests, such as "The Sage of Velia", to display the correct information.

  • Added EXP rewards to certain quests to help the growth of your characters.

  • To help the growth of your characters, general quests (excluding main, life, fishing, adventure, trade, and repeat quests) now have Combat Grade EXP rewards.
    • With Combat Grade EXP, you can receive different amounts of EXP depending on the level of your character.
    • The amount of EXP received is not a set number, but a percentage of your current required EXP.
    • For example, if you complete a quest with a Combat Grade EXP reward, a level 58 character will receive 0.5% EXP, while a level 60 character will receive 0.02% EXP.
      ※ The example shown is not the actual ratio used in game and is used to help you understand its concept.
    • Also, the "Combat EXP Gain +30%" effect of "Chenga - Sherekhan Tome of Wisdom" is also applied to the Combat Grade EXP reward.
      ("Chenga - Sherekhan Tome of Wisdom" can be acquired by completing the suggested quest "[Lv.53] The Adventurer's Tome regarding the legend of Chenga".
    • Quests with Combat Grade EXP rewards are indicated with the orange Combat EXP icon in the quest rewards list.
Developer’s Comment
All quests of Black Desert give Contribution Points as rewards and they were used as a resource to live in this world. However, they are not used as they were first intended to be anymore.
We've also noted that many adventurers enjoy completing quests after the addition of Rulupee's Travel Log. To help these players, completion of quests now increase amity with the NPCs of the quests and reward more Combat EXP.
It is not a big change, but we hope this brings more meaning to those who enjoy quests.
  • Amity rewards were added to some quests.
    • Completing quests will make it easier for you to become better acquainted with NPCs.
    • Amity rewards vary depending on the characteristics of the NPC and quest given.
    • This does not include recurring and life advancement quests.
  • Condition to accept the quest [Event] They Took the Herb Bundles! has been added to the quest description.

  • You can now see where the quest takes place when you do the quest [Event] They Took the Herb Bundles!

  • Quest objective of [Event] They Took the Herb Bundles! has been changed.


Knowledge
  • Fixed the "Southwestern Gateway" knowledge to now be obtainable by talking to Xaviero Vitello.


Interface Changes
  • The Special tag was added to certain items listed on the Pearl Shop.

  • Fixed the Marni's Stone count to adjust to the size of the 3D minimap.

  • Attempting Edit UI with a character below level 7 will now display the message "The Edit UI function is available from level 7.".

  • Fixed the issue where the My Information (P) menu would display the character with no titles even when one is applied.

  • Fixed the issue where you could interact with NPCs and the Black Spirit while moving the character selection window.

  • Fixed items that cannot be Black Stone extracted to be unable to be registered for Black Stone extraction.

  • Fixed the mail description at the bottom right of the screen to display the correct information.
    • This message is only shown when you have unread mail.
  • Fixed the expired tabs in the attendance reward UI to be removed.

  • The accumulated trade numbers of the Central Market is now divided by units.

  • New UI (horse or anchor icon) was added to the Select Character (Character Selection) screen and End Game menu showing the mounts being used by each of your characters.
    • No Guild mounts will be displayed.
  • Search for the Web Central Market is now not case sensitive for English.

  • When giving feed to your pet by pressing Give Feed button, the first one in the list of feed you have will now be selected (from Select Feed window) as default. This will be the same for when selecting Feed All option.

  • All other windows will now be closed when you start the harpooning minigame.

  • Fixed the issue where the camera perspective was unnatural when using the keyboard after log-in.

  • Fixed the issue where the system message "Please try again in a moment" was displayed when you join a platoon.

  • Fixed the issue where the system message "Please try again in a moment" was displayed when you create a party or a platoon.

  • Fixed the issue where items were not updated properly when you move them between slots with the Item Count UI open.

  • Fixed the issue where you could use a Crystal Extractor in the Extraction Mill consecutively, even after you complete timing the extractor correctly 3 times, in certain situations.

  • Fixed the issue where the number of Likes increased when you apply customization in the Beauty Album.

  • Fixed the issue where the notice on the top of the screen during fishing would overlap with other UI when text size is set to the largest size.

  • Now you can see in the Central Market list whether the item reached its Max or Min price.

  • Fixed the issue where the mount skill list UI was abnormal when the description text was longer.

  • Fixed the issue where the information about summoned mount was not displayed intermittently.


Resolved Issues
  • Fixed the issue where Shai's skills were unusable when performing them with Quick Slot 11 through 20 that are set up through the Edit UI.

  • The Fighting Spirit social action for Shai now displays the correct facial expression.

  • Fixed the issue where the dialog of 'The Truth Behind the Treasure' was repeated when accepting the quest.


Known Issues
  • We are aware of the error message "This is a customization file for a different class." that is displayed when you enter the character select menu.

  • We are aware of the issue where the effect of Finto's Fresh Juice is not applied when used while the character is swimming.

  • We are aware of the issue where you cannot call your wagon even in close distance by pressing LMB on the Mount icon when you have a Trainer’s Flute activated.

  • We are aware of the issue where the following system message is displayed when pressing LMB on the Mount icon to try to call your wagon/ship. Please note Trainer’s Flute cannot be used to call Wagons and Ships.
    • Your mount is too far away. (You can call mounts from a further distance with a Trainer’s Flute).
