Play Hunt: Showdown for Free this Weekend!



Join us this weekend for some bounty hunting in the swamps of Louisiana during Hunt: Showdown's free weekend. The free weekend begins today (Thursday, June 13th) at 10 am PT/1 pm ET/ 7 pm CEST and runs until Monday, June 17th at 10 am PT/1 pm ET/ 7 pm CEST. And if you like what you see, Hunt: Showdown will also be on sale for 20% off.

Hunt's free weekend follows the recently released Update 6.1, which added the most frequently community-requested feature: the FOV slider. Update 6.0, which was released in May, added a new boss, new lore book, new weapons, and new traits, as well as a slew of performance tweaks.

It's been over a year since Hunt's initial Early Access release, and during that time, the Hunt dev team have released 18 updates and patches. The community has gotten a new map, two new times of day, additional AI, Quick Play mode, challenges, and over a dozen new weapons. And you can expect more additions on the horizon as we continue to develop the game!

  • Death screen now displays the player's name as well as the level & tier of the hunter, instead of player's bloodline & prestige rank:
    • This is the first iteration towards a more representative way to communicate information on the death screen. In the future, we also want to show whether your killer was better, about equal or worse in skill than you.
  • Flash Bomb price increased to 47$ and flash time reduced from 8 to 6 seconds.
  • Concertina Bomb no longer triggers hit markers every time a player or AI moves into the wire.
  • Further improvements to Hunter outline during night time.
  • Updated filter curves to improve binaural spatialization regarding azimuth and elevation:
    • It is easier now to locate sound sources which are above or below you as well as a general more granular resolution between front, side, and back.




  • Steam friend invites for Random partners work properly again.
  • Fixed a bug where the assassin could get stuck and/or die on the ceiling.
  • Fixed a bug that reset the banishment timer for players who start spectating their partner.
  • Fixed a bug that reset the banishment timer for players who just got revived.
  • Fixed a bug that re-triggered the last mission banner for players that just started spectating.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the death position of the Immolator to be different on the server and client, resulting in “invisible fire patches”.
  • Tentative fix for NVIDIA Highlights.
  • Tentatively fixed an issue where picked up weapons continuously fired shots if the previous weapon owner died while using fanning.




  • NVIDIA Highlights might still not work correctly for all players.
