Update 1.2.1

Hunters,

With this update we have rolled out some fixes as well as UI Quality of Life improvements. We have also provided the promised proportional compensation for the rolled back time period.

Happy Hunting!
Stability

Stalls and Freezes
• Fixed an issue where the game could stall due to large amount of privacy checks performed when entering in-game communication range.
 • Fixed an issue with some game shaders compiling and causing freezes when using Dark Sight or banishing a boss for the first time.
Crashes
• Fixed a crash that could occur when quitting game.

 • Fixed a bug where the slot selection didn’t jump to the next free slot when the very first item got equipped.
 • Fixed a bug where one red and one empty token were still visible when both bounties of the second target were extracted.
 • Fixed an issue where NVIDIA highlights were not working for some players.
 • Fixed a bug where players could be stuck during game loading, in case the game server failed to start correctly.
 • Fixed a bug where players could change their regions while in the matchmaking process.
 • Fixed a bug where players would play no "death screams" when dying right after being revived.
 • Fixed an issue that caused account linking to not work.
Performance & Stability
• Clients might crash when using bomb lance intensively.
 • Clients can crash on level unload in some cases.
 • Clients can crash on resolution change.
 • Players may sometimes experience desyncs / rubberbanding issues during gameplay.
UI & Meta
• Book of Weapons item unlock popup repeats after every Training session if an item was unlocked in the last normal mission before playing the tutorial.
 • Player statistics do not show correctly.
 • Persistent grouping doesn't work sometimes when returning from a match.
 • Starting the game with a completely new profile doesn't show the Tutorial Hunter selection screen (the hunter can still be selected manually though).
 • Disabled "Auto-Hide Equipment Display" and "Auto-Hide Health and Stamina Displays" can lead to some UI overlapping.
 • Chat key can't be customized yet.
 • Tutorial: After respawning, guns that aren't fully loaded trigger replenishment icon even if the total ammo is already maxed out.
 • Dying to an explosive that exploded due to world fire shows wrong death screen.
 • Players might end up in a state where the UI shows them in a group, although they are not.
 • Team members might not be rendered immediately upon joining a group. Switch tabs will make them appear.
Gameplay
• Stamina consumption for two consecutive heavy melee attacks with Sparks might be incorrect.
 • Reloading the sparks right after a shot before cocking the hammer, cocks the hammer twice and delays the reload.
 • Player melees when right and left clicking during the revolver spin animation.
 • World items in some specific spots might not always be equipable.
 • Melee attacks might not break windows when standing very close to them.
 • Any attack of AI instantly explodes a barrel that is set on fire (and doesn't damage the AI).
 • Tutorial: Camera position might briefly jump to spawn location right before extraction.
 • Hive Bomb throw cannot be canceled anymore by holding the item in the hands.
 • If a player jumps on a ladder and jumps off immediately he might fall through the ground.
AI
• Spider can become stuck sometimes.
 • Spider can bump several times into a player it just floored.
 • Butcher might teleport to the lower floor in Davant Ranch.
 • Immolator can have problems choosing a target when 2 players stand on opposite sites of fences.
 • Leeches can sometimes survive the death of their Meatheads.
Visuals & Audio
• Texture and/or animation streaming can sometimes be slow.
 • Distances for boss whispers are slightly off when the boss is underground.
 • In rare cases, players might see a permanent ghosting effect on the skybox.
 • Minor animation issues can occur when switching between weapons/items or during exhausted attacks.
 • Throwable world items don't get rendered anymore when throwing them very far.
 • Aperture sight unfolds for one frame when playing the unfolding animation.
 • Player arms stretch in third person when throwing an Axe or Hammer (with Tomahawk).
 • Last fanning shot doesn't have muzzle flash and audio when shooting all bullets in one go.
 • Grunts might sometimes spawn in players sight.

The Firefighters of New Orleans

We’ve been devastated to see the destruction being caused by the fires in Australia. As headline after headline made its way to our headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany, we decided we would take action. So we have created a special DLC bundle, themed around New Orleans fire fighters of the 1890s. Proceeds from this bundle will go toward the ongoing fire relief efforts for its first two months on sale.

For this benefit, we will be partnering with Wires, Australia’s largest wildlife rescue organization. For over 30 years, their mission has been to rehabilitate and preserve Australia wildlife, and to inspire and educate others to do the same. As they say of the current situation on their website: “Summer is a frantically busy time for wildlife rescue and there are still over 100 fires burning in NSW. In December alone there were over 20,000 calls to WIRES 1300 line, a 14% increase on last year, and volunteers attended over 3,300 rescues.”

So, until March 31st, 2020, all of the proceeds from the Fire Fight bundle will go toward supporting their efforts. After that, the items will still be available as usual. A note: the charity benefit event will be for PC-only, though of course Xbox and PlayStation players will also get access to the Fire Fight items in March.

Skip the details, and buy it now.

The Fire Fight Bundle contains two new Hunt weapons – a heavy knife and a Sparks LRR – dedicated to fire fighters everywhere. The New Orleans Fire Department began in April of 1829, when a group of men organized a volunteer fire department called the Fireman’s Charitable Association. After 62 years of volunteer service, the New Orleans Fire Department became a paid fire-fighting force in 1891 – just four years before the main action of Hunt takes place.

In October of 1895, a fire that started in a tenement building took out most of the New Orleans West Bank neighborhood of Algiers. Horse drawn fire trucks arrived to fight the blaze, but they were unable to stop the fire’s spread. In memory of these historic fire fights, and with our hats raised to the fire fighters working tirelessly across Australia even now, we dedicate these two new items.

Algiers Phoenix

Christened by the New Orleans Fire Department, the Algiers Phoenix helped several victims “rise from the ashes” when it freed them from the flames devouring the Algiers neighborhood. A heavy knife handy both in an emergency, and in the field.

Fire Torn

Charred but not destroyed, this Sparks LRR is not a testament to the destructive power of fire, but to the resilience of that which withstands it. A symbol of hope for rejuvenation.

Database Rollback (UPDATED)

UPDATED 02. 14 16:30 CET

Hunters,

We have now fixed the issues with DLC purchases!
You can download our client side fix at your convenience.

All items previously purchased, including the new Fire Fight DLC, are now available with this update.

Missing Blood Bond purchases will be distributed later today.

We apologize for the issues and delay.

Happy Hunting!

UPDATED 02.13 21:15 CET

Hunters,

We have now rolled back the database to the state prior to Update 1.2!

Some item unique IDs were changed between Update 1.1.4 and Update 1.2 which lead to corrupted profiles for players that logged in after the deployment of the Update. Due to this issue, some previously unlocked items could appear as locked. This issue have now been fixed, and all unlocks (including Legendaries) will appear as they should.

Unfortunately, we were not yet able to resolved the issues with the DLC unlocks and will provide a fix or another update tomorrow. We want to assure players that their purchased DLCs will be provided once we have a fix available.

In the following week all players who played in-between the release of update 1.2 and the rollback will receive a compensation.

Tomorrow we will also grant the blood bonds that were purchased in the rolled back timeframe.

(Note that your progress will count from this point moving forward.)

Happy Hunting!
~The Hunt Team

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hunters,

Due to issues with some items including newly and previously purchased DLC and Legendary content, we will perform a database rollback in the coming hours.

You will be able to play in the meantime, however, this also means that all progress between the maintenance and the update will be lost. We will compensate all players that played during this time period in a future maintenance.

Players that already purchased the new and previous DLCs and are currently not able to use them will have them all unlocked after the maintenance.

Thank you for your patience!
