New update coming next week! Teaser pics included. Price increase.

Hello Islandvillers!
REMEMBER THIS IS NOT RELEASED YET AND IS JUST A TEASER. COMING NEXT WEEK!
I have been finishing up One Eye'd Billies and thought I would stop to show a few pics of the new machines and also talk about the price increase of the game coming next week. The next update to The Coin Game will feature three new arcade machines, two new shooting galleries and two extra little features. Oh and lots of bugs fixes, a FOV slider and some fixed achievements all coming next week.

After reading through all of the discussions and suggestion threads I came up with these next arcade machines.
The first machine is Combo Craze.
It is a game of skill were you must stop the rotating line on the dot to crack the combination 50 times in a row. The increasing speed and rotating angles are a fun challenge to get just right. I really enjoy games at the arcade that are "mostly" skill based. They are also the easiest to code too as there are no algorithms to fandangle and tweak.
The second machine is Popcorn Petes Pirate Plunder.
Everyone loves Popcorn Pete! This new machine is a "plinko" style ball drop game. Press the button to fire a canon ball from the "SS Popcorn" and land in a treasure chest of tickets. It features a translucent LCD screen overlaid on the cabinets glass to give cool celebration graphics and counting screens. There is a center target that has a increasing bonus to win. Try your luck on the Popcorn Pete's Pirate Plunder game and win a boat load of tickets!
The third new arcade game coming in the next update is Pile Up.
Pile Up is a stacking blocks kind of game. There is a left to right sliding handle on the front of the machine to move the base platform. When the blocks fall from the top you simply need to stack them up to the ticket winning lines. Seems easy right? Just wait until the stack gets a little taller... and then TIMBER!!!!

I really cant wait to see all the new videos and streams of people saying.... "Just one more". Haha. After an update I usually spend a day watching streamers and gathering feedback. I dont know how many times I have heard "If the dev is watching this " and I think to myself "ok write this down. That's a great idea."

For example... about a month ago I was watching a user play the game on Twitch and he was babysitting. He lost the mop through the wall and could not finish the task. He proceeded to click on the box of floor wipes on the ground next to the mops original position as it was the most logical thing to do to bring the mop back. So after watching this. I have since added that feature to the next update. Because it was a great idea. So thanks to him the game is now better for all of us (Well next week it will be.... but you get what I mean.) This is just one example but I have used many streamers suggestions and really appreciate you sharing your feedback.

As always feel free to give feedback in the discussion areas. I do my best to read them all as well.

When I built One Eye'd Billies I left an area for "Captains Quarters Shootin Gallery" on the right when you come in. At the time of modeling and building it I didnt know what I was going to put in there. I knew I wanted a "roadside" shooting gallery somewhere in the game like you see on the interstates of America but I didnt know if it would fit in the theme of Captains Quarters. Well I just went for it. I started modeling funny things that I remembered from Cedar Point shooting galleries (Google It). I believe they called it Frontier Town or something like that. It was really fun and I remembered it for many years growing up. When I was modeling I found only one single horrible quality video. It worked though. So thank you to that guy that lugged that 10 lbs VHS camera all around the park that day and got that valuable vintage footage for us. :)
Roadside Shootin Gallery
The new shooting galleries at One Eye'd Billie's has two sides. On the left is the "Fun" shooting gallery that will issue tickets for hitting the small targets near each "feature". The rifles use a laser light and use no real ammo. There is a spinning water wheel of chance and plenty more silly reactions to shoot at. You get a total of 15 shots for each round and there is no time limit.
Clay Pigeon Skeet Shoot
The Skeet Shoot on the right is a timed game of shooting skill with fun pellet guns and clay pigeons. You will get a specified amount of time and unlimited shots to hit as many targets as possible. For now all of the pigeons are the same value. If you hit more that 42 targets you get a 500 ticket bonus.

This is a kind of version 1.0 and I have plans to expand on this later in development.

Here are a couple of small extras that I will be releasing next week in the new update.
Quickplay Mode
Added a Quickplay Mode. What is quickplay mode you ask? Quickplay Mode is a simple way to dip into the world quickly and just play the game that you want without venturing to the island and dodging bots and buses. It is just the chosen game in a empty gray room for now.

I have been working on multiplayer mode and need to work on each machine individually. I need to cycle through many machines quickly as I add features to them. Well until now, I didnt have all the machines in one place and needed to do just that for future development work. So I made a simple way for me to play each machine quickly and without having to load the entire island. So when I got done with the system the other day I thought to myself that maybe players would like a way to just play the games without all of the other stuff sometimes. So here it is. Quickplay mode. I think I am going to make a menu that will allow the player to choose to start the mode with 5, 10, 25, 50 or 100 bucks. That way users can challenge a friend to see who gets more tickets with X amount of $. I may expand on this in the future but for now it is what it is. A single arcade machine in a room that should load a bit faster and get a little more FPS on some of the lower end computers.

Let me know what you all think.
Prize Loot Crates
I have added 20 fun loot crates around the island for the next update coming next week. A kind of challenge to get out in the great outdoors and explore! When you find one....click on it to open it. It will have 3 random prizes in them that are yours to keep.

These will be used in the future for other things and challenges and I wanted to get a little feedback on them.
The price of The Coin Game will increase next week to $13.99 USD. So get it now whiles it's cheap!
Here is a picture of the original concept for The Coin Game. It was originally called Push Stuff. Here is the original Steam Greenlight Link from 2015. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=568690459

When the coin game was released in Feb 2019 it featured about a dozen games in one location. Now two years later the game features 3 full arcades, over 50 games and ticket machines, 15 unique locations with multiple money earning jobs. Along with a multiplayer planned for the future.

So my wife and I thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for giving us the ability to build this title for you. I read all of the comments, suggestions and discussions and seeing some of the folks enjoying the nostalgia and environment of a small town really makes the feels flow. :)

So that's about it for this little teaser. Look out for the update next week.
