Hello everyone. Our first language update for House Party 1.0.0 is ready!

The French localization has already been pushed as a Steam update, and is also updated on our servers so that French-speaking users across all storefronts/platforms can enjoy it.

If you run into any issues with the update, simply try validating your local game files. If any issues persist, as always, leave us a bug report in our forums.

Work continues on the other translations, and as with the French version, we will push them out to you as soon as they are ready. We believe they will be ready in a few weeks.

The female player has been live since last weekend and House Party's officially out of Early Access! Our team has been blown away by your support. Over the past few days, the game's been a Top 30 Global seller, has over 10,000 total (Very Positive) reviews, still has over 1,000 active players, and got featured all over the place!

We just want to say thank you so much to all of the partiers who supported our game early on and welcome to all of the new guests joining the party! You guys made this all possible.



Now that the female story has been out for almost a week, we want to know how you’re exploring it!

After five years of development, our passion project is finally released! This is an incredible milestone. Thanks so much, everyone, for your support throughout all of these years. We never would have come this far without your bug testing, translations, and feedback! We’re so excited for you to play the game we always want to make for you.

Just because we are coming out of Early Access though doesn’t mean we are going to stop working on the game. We feel the game is ready enough to no longer be considered Early Access, but translation updates will continue to be rolled out over the next week or two, and there will still be more polish, cutscenes, and Easter Eggs in the pipeline.

And we hope you’re as excited as we are for the future ahead!

House Party Version 1.0 is here! Join us in welcoming the female player to the party!

While most of her story will feel familiar, the female protagonist has some story variations of her own: you'll be invited to the party by a different bestie, partygoers will react differently to you, you'll hear new background conversations, there will be some new ways to bond with familiar partygoers, and brand new romance scenes for the female player!

Thanks for your patience, everyone! Adding her was a huge undertaking and we really appreciate your patience and help playtesting the first look. Have fun checking out the new content, enjoy partying as a female, and don’t forget to dive back into the game and (re)discover all the content we’ve added and guests we’ve invited through the years!

Hell yeah! Next week, House Party leaves Early Access! We're getting the female player's story all prepped for Version 1.0 to go live, and here's a peek at the changes we've been working on:

- We reworked The Muse (storyline for Madison and Derek), the Sibling Warfare (storyline for Ashley), and Vickie’s endurance test to better fit the female player.
- We added a new sleeping mask item… Can you figure out what it’s for?
- Not only can you now bond with Derek, but we made it so the female player can now ask him for help and advice on a variety of topics. He’s not your long-time buddy anymore, but he’s still happy to help you find your way around the party!
- We added and adjusted LOADS of dialogue and responses for a bunch of characters to smooth out gameplay for the female player across the entire Original Story. The characters most affected by these changes are Brittney, Derek, Madison, Rachael, and Vickie, but almost every character has something new for you to discover!!
- We updated almost all of the romance scenes in the game to work with the female player, including dialogue and context, and redesigned much of the hookup logic to provide a more fulfilling experience for her. We plan on polishing the romance scenes even further and will add new cutscenes in our first update after the Doja Cat DLC launches!
- We made it so the female player can now ask Brittney to move to another location, provided that the player has done something to help her out first. Are you a good enough friend to help Brittney mingle?
- We updated poses so male poses in the Original Story are now replaced by female poses whenever appropriate.

These changes aren't live yet, but we're excited to bring them live in our upcoming update when we officially leave Early Access next week. We hope you’ll have fun exploring the new content when it drops!
