Hotfix: v2.2a

[p]Hi everyone! Just releasing a quick hotfix to address a few of the issues that were reported by reviewers.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Added an 'Empty' UI element to indicate when a chest/body has been emptied (or is empty)[/p]
  • [p]Fixed issues with the SONIS-R augment not upgrading when attempting to upgrade it after level 1.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed issues with the player being unable to stand back up after crouching under/near water/rivers.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed issues with the world map not appearing in Alios.[/p]
  • [p]Added a 'openlvl' command prompt to allow players to instantly teleport to other levels in the game.[/p][p][/p]

As Within the Cosmos nears its 9th month since launch, I’m happy to release another update: v2.2.[/p][p][/p][p]First of all, thank you to everyone who has purchased the game over the last couple of months and supported development so far! Your support has allowed me to keep improving Within the Cosmos, and to potentially continue pursuing game development as my career, as there’s nothing I enjoy more than working on games.[/p][p][/p][p]In an effort to continue improving the game, I’ve made a number of additions and fixes, all available now with today’s update.[/p][p][/p][p]Here’s what’s included:[/p][p][/p][h3]Steam Badges & Trading Cards[/h3]
  • [p]Within the Cosmos now has Steam trading cards, emoticons, wallpapers, and badges![/p]
[h3]New Features[/h3]
  • [p]Introduced 'Photo Mode', giving players full control over camera, framing, and screenshots.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Added character creation archetypes, allowing players to choose a predefined starting playstyle.[/p]
  • [p]Added two new melee weapons: Baton and Axe.[/p]
  • [p]Implemented a console command system, which enables players to experiment or use cheats ;).[/p]
  • [p]Introduced flying enemy types to increase combat variety.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Added a new flying 'Drone' enemy (which can be found in Alios)[/p]
  • [p]Players can now repair armour.[/p]
  • [p]NPCs now react to dead bodies, improving world reactivity.[/p]
  • [p]Added a new software: a drone ally that assists the player in combat encounters.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Added a new software, Digital Shroud, allowing players to make dead bodies invisible.[/p][p][/p]

  • [p]Fixed a bug where pressing the 'I' key during character creation would remove the UI.[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted misaligned UI elements in the character creator.[/p]
  • [p]The 'Naqri' creatures on Berith II now also target bandits & Enlightened soldiers on sight.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed issues with the 'Naqri', who previously didn't react when shot from a distance.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where the UI wouldn't show the 'Torch' option for gamepad users in the weapon wheel.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug that could cause invisibility issues when pressing the Z key.[/p]

Hotfix: v2.1.1a

[p]Hi everyone! This is just a quick hotfix to address some achievement unlocking issues and a few other minor tweaks.[/p][p][/p][h3]Patch Notes:[/h3]
  • [p]Fixed issues with some achievements not unlocking. Most completed achievements (excluding those related to final choice scenarios) should now unlock upon loading a related save.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed issue where skipping the intro slide sequence wouldn’t stop the voiceover.[/p]
  • [p]Reduced subtitle text duration from 3s to 2s for NPC 'barks' to better sync with voiceover.[/p]

Update: v2.1.1: Spanish & French Localisation

[p]Hi everyone! It’s been a little over a month since the latest major update (v2.1). I hope you’ve all enjoyed the new content and fixes that were included in that update.
[/p][p]Today's update marks a big milestone for the game, as I’ve been working hard over the past few months to add some localisation to Within the Cosmos. In this update, you’ll find Spanish and French localisation! While I would love to translate it into more languages, I did these myself as they are the only other languages that I know.
[/p][p]Apart from that, I’ve also included a number of bug fixes and improvements to various gameplay elements.[/p][p][/p][p]Here's the full changelog:[/p][p][/p][h3]Localisation:[/h3]

[p]Hi everyone! Just a quick patch that addresses some critical systems in the game and expands player options:[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Captain Williams no longer reacts to the terrorist explosion if he’s dead[/p]
  • [p]Fixed being unable to loot Captain Williams after killing him[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the 'Talk' prompt staying on Captain Williams after his death[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Sera Thorne’s skeletal physics[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where Sera Thorne would not recognise the player as an enemy if aligned against the Enlightened[/p]
  • [p]Fixed coding issues with the Raven’s leader not giving the player their keypass[/p]
  • [p]Added an alternative way to resolve the New Haven decision if the leader dies[/p]
