Valve recently updated Left 4 Dead 2 with a compatibility fix for Linux, and it seems they've done the same for their popular puzzle game Portal 2.

There are some games it feels like literally everyone has played - or at least heard of. Half-Life. Portal. Left 4 Dead. The list goes on, and on, and on.
