Beat Saber v1.12.1 With Multiplayer Released
Dear players,
We're so excited to finally release multiplayer in our biggest update so far.
Join private matches with your friends or jump into a public match with players from all around the world. Now you can also create and customize your avatar!
What's part of this update?
- Added Online multiplayer mode (Quick play or Private server)
- New arena-like environment specially crafted for use in multiplayer
- Avatars with customization available in multiplayer
- Menu visual overhaul with curved screen design
- Added adjustable Note Jump Offset into Player Options
- Added Adaptive SFX into Player Options
- Added Hide note spawning effect into Player options
- New lights
- Arrow displaying directions (from which notes are coming in 360/90 degree levels) is now replaced with multiple arrows that may display multiple active directions at the same time
- Player statistics pane temporarily removed
- Various fixes and tweaks

Q: Does multiplayer allow cross-play?
A: Currently, this feature is not releasing with cross play between different platforms, but we’re exploring what’s possible and we hope to support this functionality in future.
Q: How many people can play together in multiplayer?
A: Five people can join the match so you can play with 1-4 friends or random opponents.
Q: Which songs can you play in multiplayer?
A: Multiplayer only supports all the official songs in the base game and official DLCs. Any upcoming official songs and DLCs will be supported too.
Q: Is voice chat enabled in the game?
A: Currently, there isn’t any built-in voice chat in the game, but every platform has an integrated voice software.
