End of Year Update – Underground Progress

Happy Holidays!
[p][/p][p]Thank you so much to everyone who has supported Adventure Craft over the years. 2025 has been my busiest year yet working on the game, and I’m genuinely really happy with how everything is coming together.[/p][p][/p][p]It’s been a very long and often tough road continuing to work on a single project for over 10 years, but the support, encouragement, and kind words from you all have kept me going. They’ve continually reinforced my belief that Adventure Craft is a project worth finishing — and finishing properly.[/p][p][/p][p]I’ll be stepping away from the project for the next four weeks to celebrate Christmas with my family and recharge for a big push in 2026.[/p][p][/p][p]I truly appreciate every one of you, and I can’t wait to finally release the game. I promise it will be worth the wait.[/p][p][/p][p]In the meantime, here are some screenshots showing progress on the underground cave system 👇 Ive been so busy with it over the last 8 weeks that I have barely had a moment to look up![/p][p][/p][p]I’ve updated the Safe Zones to include more shops and increased NPC activity, making them feel more alive and useful.[/p][p][/p][p]The Order of Light now runs a shop in the Safe Zone as well.[/p][p]Their presence adds more faction identity to these areas, with dedicated merchants, themed structures, and NPCs that make the Safe Zones feel more alive and purposeful rather than just a place to pass through.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]There is now more content to discover that expands on the “Aliens” faction.[/p][p]Underground areas now feature new alien encounters, including hostile creatures, corrupted enemies, strange technology. Alien machinery, drones, and unsettling visual effects reinforce their presence, turning these zones into chaotic, high-risk spaces that feel distinctly different from other underground areas.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]There are now Boneyards within the cave system, where players can fight hordes of skeletons alongside unique, rare skeleton warriors. These areas are dense with enemies, scattered bones, and narrow choke points, often overwhelming the player with sheer numbers. Skeletons attack from multiple directions, drop bone materials, and guard valuable loot, turning Boneyards into high-risk, high-reward combat zones.[/p][p]By collecting different types of bones found throughout these encounters, players can craft a wide variety of bone swords and other bone-based weapons, allowing for deep progression tied directly to surviving these brutal battles.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]There are now several types of Slimes in the game, including Black Slimes that expand the Darkness faction.[/p][p]
These enemies are highly dangerous, often resisting or negating certain attacks, and can quickly overwhelm the player with area effects, explosions, and dense combat situations. Black Slimes dominate dark, corrupted areas of the caves, spreading hazardous terrain and forcing players to adapt their tactics rather than relying on raw damage.[/p][p]Defeating them rewards players with Black Blood, a rare and valuable resource used in a variety of crafting recipes, making these encounters high-risk but highly rewarding.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Pro Tip: They don't like fire.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]As shown in a previous post we also did a lot of work on a high level enemy known as The Dark Congregation.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]This battle is pure chaos![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]There are several factions of Crystal Warriors to encounter deep underground.
Each gemstone and crystal in the game exists as part of an opposing pair, locked in conflict with its counterpart. These warriors are often imprisoned within crystal structures, waiting to be freed. Once released, opposing crystal factions can be set loose to fight each other, creating dynamic and unpredictable encounters.[/p][p]Each Crystal Warrior wields a unique crystal sword and guards rare loot, making these encounters both dangerous and highly rewarding for players willing to experiment and intervene.[/p][p] [/p][p]Giant spiders are also now a thing![/p][p]Deep underground, players can encounter massive spiders lurking in dark chambers, guarding valuable areas and rare resources. These enemies are fast, aggressive, and hard to miss, turning tight cave spaces into tense, high-pressure encounters.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]They also don't like fire![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]That's all I have for now![/p][p][/p][p]As always, thank you for the continued support, feedback, and patience. A huge amount of work has gone into expanding the underground systems, factions, enemies, and mechanics you’ve seen here, and this is only the beginning of where things are heading. I’ll be taking a short break over the holidays to recharge, but development will be ramping up again in 2026 with a clear focus on pushing Adventure Craft closer to its full release. I genuinely can’t wait to share what’s coming next. [/p][p]Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays![/p][p]James - Twitter: @iENDERi[/p]
