Welcome to Early Access!
Greetings Survivors!
Welcome to Early Access! As you know we’ve been working around the clock ever since the Open Alpha Tests ended a few short weeks ago. Our team couldn’t be more excited to have the opportunity to bring XERA: Survival to Steam Early Access, and without your support over the past year, this project could not have made it to the point it has.
What to expect during Early Access
As a team, we have worked hard to ensure that servers will be stable and there will be as few bugs as possible, but the game is still a work in progress and we do expect the unexpected! We need your help! If you should run into any issues - including game crashes, server issues, gameplay bugs, etc, please submit a bug report to our team members and it will be looked into. Over the course of the next month, our number one priority is to fix as many bugs as possible.
What is coming next?
One of our missions as a studio has always been to be transparent with the community on the development of the game. In order to hold ourselves accountable, and to encourage involvement as well as feedback from the community, we will be bringing you a roadmap in the near future that will outline our plan for adding content while we are in Early Access.
Are there going to be wipes?
One of the most common questions and concerns we have received from the community has revolved around the topic of wipes. We want to be clear that although we do not intend for this to happen, there may be situations that will arise where it could prove necessary to wipe your GI and character data. We will try to minimize the impact of any wipes that do occur and also want you to know that any skin boxes and skins that you earn prior to a wipe will NOT be affected. The good news is should there be a wipe, not only will you be able to keep any skins and skin boxes you’ve earned, you will also be able to earn them again by leveling up.
Again we want to thank everyone for the excitement and support leading up to this point and look forward to continuing our community driven development throughout the duration of early access.
From all of us at Spotted Kiwi, good luck out there!
