Patch Notes - Early Access Patch #2

Greetings Survivors!

We will be deploying our 2nd Early Access Patch at 5:00AM CST today. We hope you will enjoy the changes and content that has been added and look forward to your feedback. As a reminder, don't forget to leave a review if you haven't yet!


Top Features


New Servers

"First Person Only" servers have been added. These will remain limited during the initial rollout.
"No Group System" servers have been added. These will remain limited during the initial rollout.

Skill Rating Reset

Due to a previous bug that caused players to gain an unintended advantage over other players by reducing gun recoil, we have reset everyone's skill rating back to 500. After evaluating the impact of the bug, the team determined that enough players had been impacted by the bug that it would only be fair to reset all skill ratings and allow players to compete on a level playing field now that the bug has been fixed.

Streamer Mode

There is now an option in settings to enable streamer mode
Player list will show player IDs, rather than names
On death, killer will be displayed as player ID
When looking at another player, it will be displayed as an ID
When grouping, invitations and member list will be ids

Updates


Loot

Increased minimum loot for 1-5 player servers to 1800 (was 900)

Drones

Damage reduced to 50% (was 65%)

HUD

Moved compass to top middle of HUD
Compass direction will now update when freelooking and while on vehicles
Added current experience & xp required for next level to HUD

Loading screen

Added new art to loading screen

Compound Event

Added more props around the compound events to help with pushes
Added 2 doors in each corner to enter the compounds

Connection

Increased initial connection timeout to 180 seconds (for lower-end pcs that load the map slower)

Weather system

Reduced duration of "Foggy" weather condition to 7 minutes (was 15 minutes)
Reduced fog amount for "light rain" and "heavy rain" weather conditions

Player Menu

Added user icon next to your own user to find yourself quicker

Inventory

Medical items will now auto-equip if you don't have one in your quick-med

Global Inventory

Fixed an issue causing items to not store correctly in the global inventory when moving items quickly

Group System

Each group member now has a unique colour
Group member icon will turn to a skull when dead
Fixed an issue causing group tags to not correctly show over the head when on smaller resolutions

Death Menu

Added buttons for both north and south safe settlement spawns

Map

Added 3 civilian bunkers to the map
Fixed various fences you could not shoot through
Fixed some trees you could parachute and glitch into

Player

Added additional checks when player spawns to prevent invalid characters being spawned
Improved player hitbox so it's not as bulky

Recoil System

Completely re-worked recoil system which is not FPS dependant
Recoil system now supports patterns for every gun (unique patterns will be implemented in the coming patches)

Combat / Weapons

Added bullet tracers (Still experimental, expect issues)
You can now cancel a reload animation by changing weapons and quick-medding
Fixed an issue causing weapon to reload into 1 bullet when moving items in inventory during a reload

Server Maintenance 12:45AM CST - Hotfix 1.2



At 12:45AM CST there will be a patch deployed. Below are the patch notes.

Commands

Using /respawn will now have a delay of 15s (Will take 15s to respawn)

Security

Improved player back-end security

Server Maintenance 4:15AM CST - Hotfix 1.1

At 4:15AM CST there will be a patch deployed. Below are the patch notes.

Loot System

Minimum loot increased to 900 for 1-5 player servers
Adjusted start of loot scaling to 5 players
Reduced number of players required to reach max loot (25 was 35) - this means it takes less players to hit the maximum loot cap

Weapons

Added fall-off damage to melees to fix exploits

Settings

Fixed an issue that allowed modification of FPS Cap in files

Survivor Crates

You can now open Survivor Crates from the main menu

Medical System

Fixed an issue causing weapons to not switch back correctly after quick-medding

Death Screen

Fixed an issue causing 'Fists' to show when actually you died to a weapon

Settings

Fixed an issue causing FPS limit to default on lowest possible value
Disabled FPS limit (While we resolve some issues)

Weapons

Falloff damage added to all weapons except snipers

Loot Tables

Adjusted spawn rates of items on military loot table
Reduced spawn rate of L96-A1 on military and normal loot table

Supply Drops

Reduced chances of uncommon & rare drops

Commands

You can no longer use /respawn while hostile

Player

Fixed an issue with death cam going into sky when dying in first person

Respawn Timer

Respawn nearby timer will now depend on how many players are in your group
4 players = 50 Seconds
3 Players = 45 Seconds
2 Players = 40 Seconds

Redwood Valley

Reduced default fog to 0.02 was 0.03

Macro Detection

Increased kick trigger threshold
Adjusted detection behavior

Servers

Servers will now automatically reboot every 12 hours

Loot

Servers total spawned items will now scale depending on number of players online (1 player = 800, 35 players = 2200)

Hostile

When hostile the log-out timer is now 30 seconds (was 10 seconds)

Experience

Reduced experience lost on death to 100 (was 150)
You will now gain experience when killing players, this is based off their survived time (max 100xp) (30 minutes survived = 100xp, 15minutes = 50xp), you wont get xp for killing someone with under 2 minute survived time

ATV

Fixed an issue with ATV explosions causing player animations to get stuck with ATV animations

Helicopter Transport System

Helicopter will now remain landed for 45 seconds (was 25 seconds)
Fixed an issue causing helicopter to go slow for first few seconds

Player Spawn System

Players will now spawn back into the safe zone when swapping servers if they logged out in one
Players will now spawn at the safe zone after a patch (was nearby)

Player Damage

Moved hands and arms to 1.5x damage multiplier (same as body)
