You’re A Winner! Who Cares About Losers?
Welcome to FERIOS! Get ready for your first day in a new job, crunching numbers and making money 😎

Just remember: profit is all that matters, the rules don’t apply if you’re a winner. Only losers feel guilty for the pain, loss and poverty that are the unavoidable by-product of the critical and important work we do here.

Your job is to make money for FERIOS. Buy the stocks going up, sell before they go down. Short the ones that are going to fall (or the ones you’re going to make fall).

If you’re really smart, you’ll find ways to influence the market to your advantage. Think you can lobby an influential group to affect the market? Do it. Drive down the currency of a foreign country to improve the margins of the companies that import their products? Why not? The only consequences that matter are the ones that impact our bottom line.
The Deep Pockets Edition Bundle
If you have cash to throw around, you can show off your wealth by purchasing the Deep Pockets Edition of The Invisible Hand.

This includes the game and the soundtrack in one sweet and easy bundle for your convenience.

The Deep Pockets Edition is coming May 7.

March Board Update

Hi there traders!

The past month has been hectic and we’ve been cooking up a ton of things that we can’t yet talk about but you can expect extremely cool announcements in April. As much as I want to purchase an island on credit to go live off-the-grid for a few years, we live in a society and THERE IS STILL WORK TO DO.

Balancing

This one is quite hard to do - there’s as many ways to play as there are players and they all want to feel challenged yet satisfied with their performance. How dare they. Our patented trademarked exclusive in-house Trading Software can be quite complex for beginners, and striking the balance between delivering enough features to provide a satisfying gameplay experience at each moment of the competition while not overwhelming probationary analysts is delicate.

We’ve added a Glossary to the interface so you can get a refresher on complex terms and features, worked on the overall difficulty and rhythm of competitions, and if that’s still not enough you can switch to Story Mode for a blissful and carefree experience if you lose.

Is this the Dark Souls of trading games?

Environment

We’ve been using the same flat skybox for years but we decided we needed something a little more 3D. Who wouldn’t want huge piles of concrete and glass as a view? It’s also a great way to contextualize what can happen if you fiddle with the economy a little too hard.

This is fine.

February Board Update

Hi there traders!

After a busy January with the Steam Game Festival, where we didn’t find the time to update you all on development, here we are again. After all, “the past is in your head, the future is in your hands.”

Story Mode
Have you heard that some people aren’t actually interested in making as much money as possible? They want to live a good life doing things they enjoy, helping their neighbours and cuddling puppies. This is a perfectly valid philosophy but maybe they should ask their banker what they think about it.

FERIOS has a strong commitment to inclusivity and accessibility (our PR specialist told us to write this). You’ll be able to enjoy the game in Story Mode, where the company will offset your losses, and competition will be actively biased in your favor, so you can lay back and enjoy the show with zero worries about actually working.

In Story Mode you can spend more time neatly organizing your desk

Achievements
But there’s also another kind of people. People that want to make the most out of the cards they’re dealt. People who are ready to sacrifice everything to get their games to 100% completion so their Steam friends can see how committed they are. Those people are welcome too and we’re cooking up some challenges so they can show-off their skills and brag to their fellow gamer friends.

That’s a nice thing to have on your profile isn’t it

Thanks for tuning in, see you next month!
