Join the Relic Hunters Legend Public Test Server!

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the Public Test Server (PTS) for Relic Hunters Legend! This PTS presents an exciting opportunity for our dedicated community to get an exclusive first look at the new features we've been developing.

From the beginning of our Early Access, we've been listening to all the suggestions and feedback you've brought. We've fixed several features and bugs, but we know plenty must be done to deliver the best possible experience for you.

We appreciate all the love and support that our community has been giving us all this time and we hope you continue with us on this journey.




The primary goal of this PTS is to gather valuable feedback from our community. This feedback will be instrumental in refining and enhancing the game, ensuring that it meets the expectations and desires of our players.



Therefore, before releasing the Treasure Maps in a new, more robust, and complex update, we create the Public Test Server so that all players who are interested in helping us improve Relic Hunters Legend can have an advanced look at this new feature, which includes various new maps, a new faction, new items, some rebalancing and changes that were previously discussed with the community.

In this test server, your accounts will be leveled up to be able to play the End Game. This way, you can test all the new features we have implemented in the game without the need to level up a character again.



This also means that progress will not be saved and will not transfer to the normal server. As we mentioned, the purpose of this server is to gather as much feedback as possible to improve Legend.

We've been working on this feature for the past few months and have fixed a large portion of the bugs and errors that you may encounter, but we want your help to further refine the game and carefully listen to your needs and suggestions to make the necessary changes before the new build, which will have a lot more content for you to check out.

The PTS will run for 10 days, during which participants will have the chance to explore the new features and provide their input thoroughly.

Go to your Library and find Relic Hunters Legend




Click with the right bottom of the game and select “Properties”



Go to “Betas” and on “Private Betas” copy and paste the password.



Then on “Beta Participation” select the Public Test Server and done!

Your contributions during this PTS will play a crucial role in shaping the final release of Relic Hunters Legend, which will feature even more exciting content and improvements based on the feedback received.



In addition to the Treasure Maps endgame system and a lot of new items, we are also making experimental changes to the balance of the Hunters.

In a nutshell, we are trying to bring all Hunters to the same power level as Raff, while making sure that Raff is more effective as a support character and a bit less effective as a raw damage dealer.

We are also making an attempt at bringing guns back to the endgame meta with significant Weapon Damage buffs across the board. This should hopefully also enable some weapon-centric builds from Hunters such as Jimmy or Ace to become more viable.

We hope that with the new changes and the new items (such as Pinkyy’s “Brawler’s Rags”, which enables her “Low-Life” playstyle like never before) you will have a much more interesting and diverse meta instead of just “Raff goes brrrrrrr”.

  • For the PTS, all accounts will start at Rebel Rank 9 with all Hunters unlocked at level 25 with full Rare+15 gear sets
  • New activity: Treasure Maps
  • Over 100 new level bases for the randomly-generated Treasure Map missions, including some new tilesets and assets
  • New Faction: Cartographers (meet them at the End of Time)
  • New Tutorial for Treasure Maps
  • New Item Type: Treasure Maps can drop from all Hard and Epic difficulty activities
  • New Item Type: Treasure Keys with different rarity tiers (Old, Curious, Mystical, and Ascendant)
  • New Material: Cartographer’s Shards (used to enhance Keys and to purchase goods from the Cartographers Faction NPC vendor)
  • New “Treasure Hunter I” and “Treasure Hunter II” Rebel Rank Chapters and Feats
  • New Item Type: Unique Weapons

[h2]Enemy Rebalance and Hitbox Fixes[/h2]
  • Ducan Sheriff Quickfeather base damage reduced from 90 to 40
  • Kami Spit's aura no longer deals damage
  • Kami Sux’s mines now disappear after 6 seconds
  • Fixed the hitbox of over 30 enemy models to ensure more accurate hit registration

[h2]New Unique Items[/h2]
  • Unique Beam Rifle: Thunder Cannon - Chains lightning to enemies near your target
  • Unique Grenade Launcher: Mist Maker - Grenades leave an area on the floor for 5 seconds. Allies inside the area receive a Weapon Damage bonus based on the amount of Overshields and Overarmor they have
  • Unique Auto Rifle: Night-Night - Defeating an enemy grants a stack of "Good Night". At 10 stacks, gain +30% Weapon damage. At 20 stacks, gain +1 Shot Amount. At 30 stacks, gain a total of +75% Weapon Damage and this weapon's bullets ricochet. Receiving damage removes 1 stack.
  • Unique Lt Shields: Backup Drive - Ultimate Energy never drops below 50%
  • Unique Hv Shields: Resistance Guard - While having Shields, gain +30% Weapon Damage. When Shields are down, release 6 projectiles that deal 160 Fragmentation Skill damage each
  • Unique Armor: Reesa’s Might - Damage Reduction +15%, gain Melee Damage bonus proportional to current Armor value
  • Unique Gloves: Krek’s Grasp - Hitting an enemy with your Melee Skill grants x% Lifesteal for 5 seconds
  • New Legendary Items
  • Legendary Machine Gun: Unreality - Every 10th shot will also release a grenade that deals 300 Nature damage in an area. Destroying enemy Shields or enemy Armor with this weapon creates an explosion that deals 200 Magnetic or Nature damage, respectively, in an area
  • Legendary Grenade Launcher: Dream Eater - Fires a volley of 6 homing grenades per shot. Defeating an enemy instantly reloads the magazine.
  • Legendary Heavy Pistol: Knuckles - Melee damage +20%. Whenever you deal Melee damage, gain a stack of "Knuckles" for 7 seconds. Each stack adds 20% of your Melee Damage Bonus to Weapon Damage (max stacks: 5)
  • Legendary Marksman Rifle: Imperial Enemy - Precision hits increase Precision damage by 10%. Stacks up to 5 times, lose all stacks when you reload
  • Legendary Lt Clothes: Lucky Shirt - Critical Hits grant a stack of "Lucky Dodge". At 20 stacks, the next attack received is a guaranteed Dodge and removes all stacks
  • Legendary Lt Clothes: Authority - When you apply a Condition to an enemy, you also reduce the damage they deal by 4% for 7 seconds. This effect can stack up to 5 times.
  • Legendary Hv Clothes: Street Queen - Deal +25% damage vs Stunned enemies
  • Legendary Hv Clothes: Mercy - Whenever you Heal yourself or allies, gain a stack of "Mercy". At 100 stacks, emit a pulse that heals 50% Life around a large area, then remove all stacks.
  • Legendary Lt Shields: Cold Embrace - Gain 1% Damage Reduction for 7 seconds when you Freeze an enemy. This effect can stack up to 15 times.
  • Legendary Armor: Brawler’s Rags - If Life is over 50%, gain +30% Melee damage but lose 10% Life when dealing Melee damage
  • Legendary Gloves: Non-Euclidean - Your Weapon shots ricochet to nearby enemies. This effect can happen only once per second
  • Legendary Gadget: Plasma Generator - Critical Hits on Burning enemies create a small explosion that deals 30 Fire Skill damage
  • Legendary Gadget: Blind Luck - (Community-Designed) Add 50% of your Critical Damage bonus as Precision Damage bonus
  • Legendary Sash: Singularity - Whenever you gain Overshields or grant it to allies, gain a stack of "Singularity". At 20 stacks, release a pulse that Freezes, Stuns and Silences enemies in a large radius around you for 7 seconds, and remove all stacks.
  • Legendary Medal: Joker’s Signet - Using a Skill counts as "defeating an enemy" for triggering item and skill effects
  • Legendary Medal: Warrior’s Medal - Gain +30% Impact damage for 7 seconds after using your Utility skill
  • Legendary Accessory: Dark Hero - Your Charge skill has an additional use. 10% chance to instantly reset the cooldown of your Charge skill when you defeat an enemy suffering from Injury or Burn.
  • Legendary Shoes: Gray City Rebels - Sprinting for 5 seconds will recover your Mobility skill cooldown
  • Legendary Shoes: Resistance Runners - On Dodge, gain +25% Move Speed for 8 seconds
  • Legendary Boots: Cold Irons - Gain +20% Move Speed for 7 seconds when you Freeze or Stun an enemy

  • The Battery
    [**] Chance to gain 25-50 Overshields when applying a Condition to an enemy
    [**] When you use any Skill and you have Overshields, sacrifice up to 30 Overshields to get +5% Skill Damage for 3 seconds. It can stack up to 10 times
    [**] Using your Ultimate removes all stacks and causes an explosion, dealing Magnetic damage based on the number of stacks accumulated. 10% chance of Silencing enemies
  • The Red Butterfly
    [**] Defeated enemies explode causing X Fire damage
    [**] Explosions have a 10-30% chance of causing Burn

  • The Frozen Statue

    [**] When you apply a Condition to an enemy, there's a 20% chance that another random basic Condition (Stun, Silence, Injury, Burn, Freeze, Contagion) will be applied as well, for 5 seconds. This effect has a 1-second cooldown




We conducted several tests before making the Public Test Server available and we fixed most of the bugs. However, some are more complex, and our team is working to fix them. They are:

  • 1st time session's Social interactions might not be working as intended. We recommend restarting the game after the Character creation\tutorial.
  • Cannot trade Time Crystal if you're using a Gamepad.
  • Players may spawn in an invisible wall at the start of Vortex, legendary Tier 3 Treasure Map.
  • Rarely, players may get a Backend Error when opening an Old Treasure Chest with a fully upgraded Old Treasure Key.
  • Sometimes, Portals are generated and appear above the Dropship at the beginning of Treasure Maps.
  • Some newly implemented Relics, Legendary and\or Unique gears are a work in progress and their name, descriptions and effects appear as “[IN DEV]”.
  • We discovered that Ring of Element cannot be crafted because Curious Chest(s) of Dominance contains The Shell relic blueprint instead of The Ring of Element frame Relic part

State of the Game and Future Development

Hey Hunters,

Welcome to our very first "State of the Game" post! My name is Mark, and I'm the Game Director for Relic Hunters Legend here at Rogue Snail.

It's been a wild ride since launch, and we are super grateful for all of you who loved Relic Hunters and supported us in this grand adventure! We are a small team from Brazil with very big dreams and you are helping make them come true. Thank you with all our hearts!

Posts like this will be opportunities for us to talk about the game's development, and also to talk to you—our community—to keep you in touch with what we’re working on, and what is coming next in Early Access!




Launch went well and overall server stability is pretty good! We haven’t had any long outages since launch, and apart from a few hiccups on day 1, our servers seem to be generally well-behaved.
Overall, we've seen very positive sentiment about the game itself, the core gameplay, the story, and the RPG systems—with the vast majority of negative reviews being about the current technical state of the Early Access build. The overall sentiment from negative reviews was "this game has a lot of potential, it just needs to be more stable before I can recommend it".

Although the early parts of the game and story content seem stable enough, we’ve made mistakes when it comes to the technical state of the endgame. We’ve fixed a LOT of things since launch, but there still are a lot of serious technical problems that we are working hard on addressing, including but not limited to:

  • Some Asteroid Dungeon Nemesis (ADN) missions are unstable when played in multiplayer, and can soft lock or crash sometimes;
  • Some skill and item combinations in Raff and Jimmy are causing performance issues that can lead to sync issues, crashes or soft locks;
  • Sometimes Delve bosses don't spawn their exit portal;
  • Trading has some general instability and can be a bit buggy and unreliable at times;
  • When playing Epic missions in a sequence, backend errors can be frequent and occasionally require players to restart the game;
  • Players are sometimes getting temporarily stuck in the dropship when joining a game in progress


We are also aware that the current endgame balance is not fulfilling your expectations. Compared to Raff, the rest of the Hunters feel underpowered and weak. Even so, there seems to be a decently healthy variety of builds being used in endgame, so it's a good sign that with a few more updates and tweaks we can bring the game to a great spot balance-wise!

Finally, the endgame didn't hold much interest after about 80-100 hours of play, and you are waiting for more content and/or major features. Honestly, this is actually not bad for our first Early Access release, and we are hopeful for the future, as we will explain below!



We heard you and are currently investigating adding an Offline Mode to the game before it's out of Early Access! Our goal is for you to be able to enjoy Relic Hunters Legend even when you're somewhere without an internet connection (or if servers are down for maintenance).

This is early in development, so we will share more information at a later date.



We are aware that, for some of you, being restricted from playing Story content in multiplayer is annoying. We are a very small team making a huge RPG, so we have to be very careful about where to dedicate our resources, and unfortunately, that’s a really hard change to make at this stage. We’ve made the difficult decision to keep Story missions single player and to invest our attention into making other parts of the game stronger.

We understand that some of you will disagree! At the end of the day, game development is full of hard choices like this where there isn't a clear "right" answer.




I played the game myself alongside you all for 40+ hours at release and the whole team have been watching livestreams, playthroughs, and feedback posted on our Discord.

We were shocked and felt really bad to see the game performing badly and making players frustrated, when we all put so much love and care into making it.

The team and I took a step back and looked at some of our technical infrastructure supporting the game's systems. We are serious about addressing everything that the community has spoken up about at launch, but that is a big undertaking.

We are balancing our time and prioritizing fixing known issues while also working towards a larger update that we’re looking forward to sharing with you all when we can.

Our goal is that, whenever the next big update hits, players will come back to a much more stable and enjoyable experience. We are super grateful for your patience, and we are doing our best to make sure it is rewarded!



We have been working on a first big Early Access update that is due next year!
Here's what to expect:

  • Bug fixes and technical stability;
  • "Treasure Maps" endgame system, with over 100 new levels, new gear, new weapons, new Relics, a new Faction and new Rebel Rank Chapters;
  • A new playable Hunter (who do you think it'll be?);
  • New balance and items made to make all Hunters strong and fun to play;

We have no release date yet, as we want to make sure we fix the majority of serious technical issues before making the game bigger. But hopefully you are as excited as I am to jump back into the game when the new update hits and farm some loot in Maps!

  • Several Status were being scaled by Buff Duration or Reduced Condition Duration affixes when they shouldn't have (The Selfless cooldown Status, for instance).
