The Labyrinth News

Sorry for not recent updates!

I've been under the weather for a few weeks, and haven't had the drive to program. The plans for the playable demo of the new release will come out soon, I'll add it to this game's store page when I feel better and get everything set up!

Small change with the full release schedule!

So my original intention was to release The Labyrinth: Revamp as a seperate game and have owners of The Labyrinth original to get Revamp for free. To make it easier on everyone, including myself, Revamp is going to simply update over the original game. This doesn't change the release schedule, so the original release date of early 2019 (hopefully January) is still the plan!

The demo release trailer is out! Watch it here!

Full Release Demo is almost here!

Alright, the time is almost here! I'm really excited for the Full Release Demo. I've already got the new store page ready to be set up for the game. I'm applying some finishing touches to the demo before I release it! I'm currently making sure all the interactions are working fully, I'm getting music working, and applying small changes as I test the game out.

The demo will release sometime next week, I haven't determined the actual date yet. I have to put together a Demo Release Trailer, but when that happens will be around the time it's released. Stay tuned!

The Labyrinth Revamp Demo is around the corner!

After more time than I could have expected, I can finally say that the demo is almost here! The game is in the final stretch and I feel there's enough here to show off.

Here's what's finished and will be in the demo:
  • Full character creation
  • Saving/Loading across 3 different files
  • Foor generation
  • Item generation
  • Framework for combat. Combat itself is not going to be in the demo, but stat changes, listeners, and status effects are implemented and working

Here's what the demo will not have:
  • Tutorial
  • Achievements
  • Stat Tracking
  • Combat
  • Spell Allocation
  • End-game content, the game is unbeatable and goes on forever

Now this is a good time to mention that the overhaul itself is not going to replace the current game. There will be a seperate store page for this game called "The Labyrinth Revamp". It will cost $5 just like the current game and owners of the original The Labyrinth will get The Labyrinth Revamp for free.

The game is taking longer than I anticipated, but it's really close to complete. I'm trying to get the demo out before Christmas this year, and official release in early 2019. Thank you to everyone for your patience, I promise if you like the current game you will love the overhaul!

To finish this post off let me show screenshots for the main menu up to starting the game.
