Panama Not Working Yet

You can buy Panama right now, but it's not working yet. There should be a 3rd story file, but no files are downloading. I am waiting for Steam's reply.

Hopefully I can revert it back to "Coming Soon" but it takes a bit.

EDIT AGAIN: Also, Panama will be an entirely new story with a new player character, so you won't be missing anything by playing through the original.

Version 5.7, Huge Bug Fix

I tried improving the AI a bit for the jungle with lots of cones, and I ended up screwing up the AI for the original Oaxaca story. It should all be fixed now, along with some other updates. Expect Brigand: Panama October 17th (I already told Steam, no bullshit).

Complete list of fixes:

SOURCE CODE:
-Fixed major bug with AI climbing prefab objects.
-Fixed problem with "if_outside" boolean script command.
-Dead sentient objects now have concealed effect turned off immediately.
-Added message when reloading about not having the required ammo.
-Clarified some GUI world editor messages.

SCRIPTS:
-Fixed problem with loa vanishing in sunlight or when possession ends.

STORY FILE: (requires starting a new game)
-Fixed polygon collision for loose dirt and tire objects.

Version 5.6 + Hi-Res Skin Patch

This Brigand update fixes a couple AI issues. There was a problem with AI using med kits because the targeting was optional, so now they can use them (on themselves). Also, AI used to run up steep rocks and if they were killed their corpse would be stuck in the air, which just looked ugly. That's been fixed for the most part. Also fixed a bug where the big splash sound was almost inaudible and clarified some dialogue. You can look at the complete list of fixes in the text file.

The stable version of Panama will be out in mid-October, hopefully with voice acting, Steam achievements, and minimal bugs.

For now I want to direct your attention to some user-made content thanks to Jack Mangano (www.twitter.com/Jack_Mangano). It's a patch that increases and improves the resolution for all character skins, which you can download from the itch.io page for now. I'll put it up on Steam when Panama comes out and I figure out how to upload extra content.

If you want the new character skins or the Panama Beta, here is the link for itch.io: https://blancaster45.itch.io/

Version 5.5B

It's a minor update, but it's fixing huge bugs.

SOURCE CODE:
-Fixed AI bug with "stopAllCombat" command, where characters would continue to target player after conversation.
-Removed accuracy from character info screen if wielding a melee weapon.
-Removed restriction from teammate auto-regroup if they are in water.
-Clarified auto-examine tutorial (use X to examine items manually).

RESOURCES:
-Moved all the character textures from the Assets\Oaxaca folder to the Assets\Default folder (forgot to do that).

Panama Beta 2, The Great Bug Hunt

I just uploaded Beta 2 for Brigand: Panama on itch.io. It's probably going to take about a month for the stable Steam version. I'm playing it through for the first time right now (of course I've playtested all the parts separately).

It's $4.99, but you'll get all future updates on itch.io if you get it there. I need playtesters before I put it on Steam with achievements, voice acting, etc. Since I have no money, I would like to offer a deal: you report one bug that I have never heard of before, I will give you one free Steam key when it's out as long as it's a bug I was previously unaware of. You find 5 bugs, I'll give you 5 Steam keys (5 max). Give them out for bullshit anniversary gifts to make your neighbor play it and ignore his wife, then you can swoop in.

I wish I could have done this when Oaxaca came out, but the only reason people knew about my shit was because of Steam. Catch-22 is a bitch.

P.S. Also, some people are having problems with the launcher app. I'll fix it with the next patch. For now, if it won't open your preferred game mode, just change modes and launch, then change back. It's happened to me very rarely.
