Alpha 57 - Hotfix 2

Hello everyone,

A new Hotfix (2) for Alpha 57 (regular and experimental) is now available!

Bug Fixes:
01. Fixed: Sometimes the Raft disappears from below the player while just exiting the Starting cluster
02. Fixed: Sometimes the Player gets teleported back to the center of the Starting cluster when he just exited it
03. Fixed: Not able to aim/use items located below the water surface of Ponds
04. Fixed: Muddy Water not turns into Clean Water during cooking, only evaporates
05. Fixed: Too slow Cooking of Muddy Water
06. Fixed: Cooking Clean Water shows incorrect Cooking value (not always 100%)
07. Fixed: Not possible to add all the needed Water to Plants/PlantPlaces at once (only max 10% now)
08. Fixed: Not possible to add all the needed Soil to Plants/PlantPlaces at once (only max 10% now)
09. Fixed: Not possible to fill to 100% the Water level of Plants/PlantPlaces when their Water level is actually more than 90%
10. Fixed: Not possible to fill to 100% the Soil level of Plants/PlantPlaces when their Soil level is actually more than 90%
11. Fixed: Not possible to use Muddy Water for watering Plants/PlantPlaces
12. Changed: Default TimeFlow value in Custom Game screen changed to 2 hours (from 1) - much better for new players
13. Fixed: Player's items belonging to the Starting/First island of the Starting cluster appearing on some island (internally also the first) of the Discovered cluster
14. Fixed: Player's not finished/crafted blueprints belonging to the Starting/First island of the Starting cluster appearing on some island (internally also the first) of the Discovered cluster

Hello everyone,

A new Hotfix (1) for Alpha 57 (regular and experimental) is now available!

Bug Fixes:
01. Fixed: Cook value percentage for Water, Salt Water and Muddy Water calculated incorrectly
02. Fixed: Sliding/falling of some just dropped (also after dragging) objects into ground and disappearing
03. Fixed: Sometimes Sliding/falling wood sticks into ground and disappearing after breaking/cutting bigger branches/trunks
04. Fixed: Not possible to aim/use any of the objects in the game after it was broken before previous save/load
05. Fixed: Sail Mast sometimes pushes object underground when dropped on it
06. Fixed: Raft Rudder sometimes pushes object underground when dropped on it
07. Fixed: Sail sometimes pushes object underground when dropped on it
08. Fixed: Sometimes Sliding/falling Coconut Fiber into ground and disappearing after breaking/cutting Coconut Husks
09. Fixed: Sometimes the Player character is pushed underground by heavy objects falling on his head

Alpha 57 - Internal engine update, New Islands, Pond&Muddy water


Hi everyone,

for this build we were mainly focusing on updating the internal game engine and adding background functionality required for future features. On some new island you might also find a small Pond with muddy water. It is now possible to choose the properties of the starting island while we also introduce 2 new island types as well.

During the Summer we managed to add and upgrade the internal engine parts which are necessary for adding new features in the future. There is also a new complex system for creating multiple biomes on islands which enables the ability to create islands with a couple of different biomes at once. For example Forest, Jungle, Grassy, Rocky Hills, Ponds and Swamps mixed. We will have a big amount of different islands that find their way into the game continually in the future - of course along with many new building ingredients and new features. The game's underlying base engine - Unity - was upgraded to a more recent engine version and therefore we also made sure there's a full new ocean system for you to enjoy.

It is now possible to override the world generator and choose the properties of the Starting island in a new dialog window which we'll expand with the new island types in future updates.  


This new island generator's first introduction is the Archipelago small island group.


Another new island type is the Big Forest type, which - besides the new, taller trees - introduces the first "bigger" island topology. Later we'll have 2 even bigger ones.


Based on the new biome system, we also have added Ponds, along with muddy water mechanic. Ponds can sometimes and only be found hidden on the Big Forest type islands. For muddy water to become clean you would need to boil it. After that you are safe to drink it or use it in cooking recipes. Drinking Muddy water in its raw and unboiled state will still receive a health bonus but expect health issues.

For the next update we plan to work on fixing the more complex and hard to track down issues. The additional plans include also Reworked tutorials, Map UI, Old Telescope, Old Pistol, Spear, Smoker, Dolphins, Simple Quests, Building modules aging ... We will work also on solving new issues and will recheck some older issues too. Other new features will be added as implementing the planned features and fixing issues will allow us to.

Bug Fixes:
01. Fixed: Displaying ":" next to Waterholder's name when it's empty
02. Fixed: Not correct time (not actualised daylight) of the Ocean after quitting to main menu from a game at night
03. Fixed: Not possible to Kill the Seagulls with Old Iron Axe
04. Fixed: Not possible to Kill the Seagulls with any of the Hammers
05. Fixed: Not possible to Kill the Seagulls with Axe/Hammer when they are not in attacking phase (sitting on nest or just flying/escaping)
06. Fixed: Sometimes not possible to chop/cut down the Small Schefflera plant
07. Fixed: Coconuts (Brown and Green) not stacked in inventory
08. Fixed: Missing Flesh hit sounds for Meats and Seagulls
09. Fixed: Sometimes the Raft sails in the opposite direction than it should (based on the wind direction and sail orientation)

Hello everyone,

A new Hotfix (3) for Alpha 57.E1 (experimental) is now available!

01. Changed: Tweaked Ocean color parameters a little (Solves too bright Ocean surface when Sun is around the horizon) - More changes to come
02. Fixed: Always visible small Rain Splash animations above the player
03. Fixed: Some Blueprints (mainly Beds, Tables, Stools, ...) can slide into ground while dragging (before placing) them
04. Fixed: Not spoiling Meal while placed on Drier (when not drying or already dried)
05. Fixed: Not spoiling Meal while placed on Cooking Place (when the campfire is not burning)
06. Fixed: Sliding (mostly) small Blueprints underground while and dragging them on ground before placing them
