We’re introducing a new Cover Art for “Gothic 1 Remake”!

The artwork is capturing the original's spirit while adding details and fidelity to every aspect of it. So in that sense it sets the pace for our "Gothic 1 Remake" game.

Here you can see the four main friends of the Nameless Hero who are essential to the entire Gothic epic - Gorn, Lester, Milten and Diego. In the background there are hordes of orcs - the last undefeated foes of the kingdom of Myrtana!

Even after all these years, the game is still relevant and still evokes warm feelings of nostalgia, making your heart beat faster with excitement and your hands sweat when you pass Mud in the Old Camp again and again. Despite all its flaws and rough edges, we still come back to it and play it with absolutely loving eyes, just like the first time we played this masterpiece.

An important factor that has certainly contributed to the long life of the series is you! Gothic fans! Without you, without your thrill, your efforts, creativity, passion this all might not have happened. Thank you very much!

We would also like to extend a huge thank you to the original developers of the game as well. You have created a unique new world that has captivated thousands of players around the world. We are also happy that some of them have joined us to work on the “Gothic 1 Remake”.

We’ve prepared a gift for you, and wanted to reveal it today, but, unfortunately, it was stolen by one of the thieves from the New Camp. Seems like it was Mordrag. At least Thorus suspects him of this crime.

We will send our best people to retrieve it from their dirty hands and bring it to you as soon as possible and believe it is worth it!

Embracer Group is once again doing sterling work to demonstrate the perils of consolidation. Piranha Bytes, who are one of well over a hundred studios that Embracer bought up in recent years, today posted a statement on Xitter saying "Don't write us off yet!". The statement goes on to say that they're "convinced they will succeed". Succeed at what, you might ask? Not being shut down by Embracer.

War has been waged across the kingdom of Myrtana. Orcish hordes invaded human territory and the king of the land needed a lot of ore to forge enough weapons, should his army stand against this threat. Whoever breaks the law in these darkest of times is sentenced to serve in the giant penal colony of Khorinis, mining the so much needed ore. You are thrown through the barrier into this prison colony. With your back against the wall, you must survive and form volatile alliances until you can finally escape.
