Dungeon Defenders Patch 10.6.3

[h2]Balance Changes[/h2]
  • Made Owl Nest projectile do reduced damage for each enemy it hits, with the damage decrease going from 0.8 per hit at 0 stats to 0.9 at ~7200 tower health
  • Made Owl Nest, Holy Cannon, Wisp Den, Cloud Tower, Shroom Pit, Sam and Mortar use the damage multiplier values of 0.3x for under 1000 damage stat, 0.4x for under 2000, 0.5x for under 3000, 0.6x for under 4000 and 0.75x for under 5000. These towers were overperforming on early game and the values will be fine tuned per tower on the upcoming patches.


[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Made Health Percentage check for Old One head crystal be 0.35 instead of 0.333330 to prevent issue where there's 1% health left on phase 3 end
  • Attempt to fix wyverns getting stuck on Frostdale Royal Court
  • Adjusted the beard position on most of the skins to be slightly lower
  • Attempt to fix wyverns getting stuck in Tropics of Etheria
  • Fixed beards not being visible on the default Barbarian skin
  • Adjusted the bracers scale and Position for a handful of huntress skins and all of Ranger's Skins
  • Adjusted the width of masks on Gunwitch to be less wide
  • Changed the position on where the Brooch is on the Skeletal Warrior
  • Adjusted the Chicken Baller to be slightly more consistent with mana generation
  • Adjusted the Backstabber to give slightly more range when swinging
  • Fixed typo on Scorched Arabia achievement

  • Fixed DU check on placing towers on Pure Strategy
  • Fixed incorrect spawning sounds on guardian towers
  • Moved buffs on Divine Judgement to ability completion to prevent being able to start the ability and cancel for a 0 cost team resistance buff

There's been 8 new towers released and lots of balance changes on others since the extra tower on Ruthless change was made into pure strategy, so it's no longer needed on all maps.
  • Made Ruthless pure strategy no longer have an extra tower penalty decrease
  • The following maps have an extra tower before the penalty is applied on pure strategy now (Same behavior as before on Ruthless)

  • Fixed Ruthless Temple of Polybius having the crystal be teleported to final arena on wave 18 start

Patch 10.6.0 - Guardian DLC

Good evening, Defenders! Today, Etheria gets a bit more protected. Patch 10.6.0 introduces the Guardian hero, with a free valentine's map to come on a later date, in around 3 weeks from now. The patch might seem small when compared to other big numbered patches, but that's because all content has been rolled out in smaller 10.5.x updates since December.

[h2]New Hero: The Guardian[/h2]

Journeying from the Etherian deserts, the Guardian answers the land’s desperate call. Blessed by unseen powers, her Holy Defenses stand unbroken as she weakens her foes and fortifies her allies. In moments of great peril, Divine Judgement calls down searing lightning, shattering enemies and strengthening friendly resistances. When surrounded, she unleashes her Shield Bash, driving back all who dare approach.

Protect the Eternia Crystals with these all new defenses:
  • Holy Cannon - Shoots out an exploding holy projectile. Damage scales with Tower Health.
  • Obelisk - Shoots out a laser that explodes on enemies, slowing and oiling them, and making it so they take extra damage. Damage scales with Tower Health.
  • Owl Nest - Spawns a fierce owl that homes in on enemies. Damage scales with Tower Health
  • Empowering Shrine - Provides a damage and resistance buff to all players in its radius
  • Holy Bulwark - A powerful barricade that retaliates against enemies and heals ally players and towers when it gets hit.


And these powerful abilities:

  • Shield Bash - Fires three high-knockback magical shields.
  • Divine Judgement - Damages all nearby enemies and increases ally resistances.

[h2]Reminder of new features[/h2]
Just as a reminder, here's some of the new features rolled out since the last major patch:
  • Chromatic Defender achievement with new accessory set and crystal skin
  • New pet and coal forges for ease of making pets and getting mana.
  • New Jester's Realm PvP map
  • New EV and Squire defences, which can be bound to your hotkeys by opening the main build wheel and holding a number from 0 to 9
  • New 6x4 item box loadout, which can be changed to on the UDKCDTSettings file under the config folder for the game
  • Loads of balance changes and bugfixes that can be found in more details on the latest patch notes

  • Made Chromatic Defender and Eternal Defender set bonus only require 2 of the 3 pieces to be equipped to activate


[h2]Bug FIxes[/h2]
  • Removed Ruthless Temple of Polybius Crystal deletion after wave 17 is done. Should fix opening stats UI for everyone
  • Fixed issues with Valentine's Contest item and checks. You'll need to grab new shackles from the bear, but now you can grab up to 5 pairs on the same tavern load
