[p]The Field of Glory II World Team Championship 2025 continues to march forward with great momentum![/p][p][/p][p]Round 2 has officially concluded and all 128 games were completed on time. A huge thanks to all participants for their outstanding commitment and sportsmanship![/p][p][/p][p]Because all matches wrapped up ahead of schedule and no adjudications were required, Round 3 has been opened early to allow teams to begin their next battles. However, the official tournament calendar remains unchanged:[/p]

  • [p]Round 3 ends: 7th November[/p]

Field of Glory II & Medieval – World Team Championship Tournament Update

[p]All 64 games of Round 1 began by September 15th, with 61 already underway by the 12th.   • [p]Teams of four players (with or without a reserve) OR from[/p]
  • [p]Groups of two or three players who are happy to be placed in a team by the organizers[/p]
  • [p]Individual players who wish to be matched with others or join as a reserve

[p]Geographical affiliation is not required for WTC25. Returning teams are welcome to keep their existing identity, while new teams are free to establish their own.[/p][p]If you are entering as an individual or partial team, please indicate which of the four competition period(s) you’d prefer to play in. You may list multiple preferences to help organizers create new teams.[/p][p][/p][h3]Required DLCs[/h3][p]Please note that specific DLCs are needed due to the format changes in WTC25. Field of Glory II & Medieval – World Team Championship 2025 is Coming

[p]The tournament will run from September 10th to December 17th and will follow a five round Swiss system format for teams of four players.[/p][p][/p][p]We welcome entries from complete teams of four, with the option of including a fifth reserve player. Individuals, or groups of two or three who would like to participate and are open to being assigned to a team, are also strongly encouraged to join. [/p][p][/p][p]This is a community celebration, and all are welcome![/p][p][/p][p]Tournament Format[/p][p]Each team will assign one player to each of the four historical periods featured in every round:[/p]
  • [p]Field of Glory II: Bronze Age, Classical, Fall of Rome[/p]
  • [p]Field of Glory II: Medieval: Medieval period[/p]
[p]In Round 1, teams will be paired randomly. From Round 2 onwards, matchups will be determined using the Swiss system combined with a custom scoring model. Importantly, no team will face the same opponent more than once throughout the tournament. [/p][p][/p][p]Each team match will consist of four games, with players facing their counterparts from the opposing team in their assigned periods.[/p][p][/p][p]What’s new in WTC25[/p][p]This year’s edition introduces a new mirror match format. For each round, the army lists and terrain types will be pre-set and shared by both players in each match-up. [/p][p]All army lists will feature historical opponents, with unique pairings for every round.
