beta 14.9.2 Test - Prologue Updates

Tonight's build includes some updates and fixes for the prologue.
  • The text to speak with Drix now includes his job, just like other NPCs.
  • The doors no longer have collision when opening. This could cause the player to get stuck as well as causing a hitch in movement if you ran into a door as it was opening.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the optimization system to turn off a room if you entered it, left, and quickly re-entered. This fix should also remove a bug that caused you to fall through the world.
  • Updated the text for the second quest to make it more clear where to go.
  • Fixed a bug that caused saving your game and then starting a new game to skip the prologue.
  • Not part of the prologue - fixed a bug that was throwing an error related to the map system.

If you get a chance to try out the prologue I'd love to get some feedback on the map. Is it too dark? Too light? How does it run compared to other dungeons or the main world map? Etc.

You MUST make a new character to play this content. Do not load an existing save if you grab this build.

If you would like to check out the new content, you can get it by doing the following:
1. In the Steam Client Library where it lists all of your games, right click on HammerHelm
2. Click Preferences
3. In the window that opens, select the "Betas" Tab
4. Enter the password to download this build - StoryTest2021 - and click Check Code
5. You should get a message that the code is correct
6. Click the drop-down box and select BigUpdateTest

Steam should immediately start a new download with the test client. The new game should be called "HammerHelm [bigupdatetest]". Once the download is complete you can launch the game and you should see "Beta 14.9.2" in the title screen.

To get back to the main build:

1. In the Steam Client Library where it lists all of your games, right click on HammerHelm
2. Click Preferences
3. In the window that opens, select the "Betas" Tab
4. Choose “None” from the drop down
5. Steam should then revert back to the main client
