Play in the Mechabellum 1.0 Release Tournament!

Mechabellum 1.0 is almost here! The game will fully release on September 26th, and we’d like to celebrate it with you - our players!

For that reason Paradox ARC and Game River are sponsoring a special Launch Clash tournament, organized with the support of our community members: Amaroq81, Alpha Titan, Salt Monkey, Uncle Lazy. Big thanks for their help!

Now let us tell you about the tournament itself and how you can join it!


[h2]Mechabellum Launch Clash [/h2]
The Mechabellum Launch Clash Tournament is an open tournament, sponsored by Paradox ARC, with a $1,000 prize purse. The tournament will be held online over two consecutive weekends.

[h2]Prize Purse[/h2]
The prize purse is $1,000 USD, awarded as follows:

1st place: $500 USD
2nd place: $300 USD
3rd place: $150 USD
4th place: $50 USD

[h2]Entry Eligibility[/h2]
Players are eligible for the Mechabellum Launch Clash Tournament if they have a minimum of 1600 MMR in 1-v-1 format, are 13 years of age or older, and provide a verified email address and Steam User ID at signup.

[h2]Tournament Format:[/h2]
[h3]Main Tournament:[/h3]
  • The main tournament will have 32 entries and will follow a single elimination format for the Rounds of 32 and 16.
  • We'll then switch to best-of-three for Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, Third Place match, and Finals.
Qualifying slots for Main Tournament:
  • 8 slots are reserved for the top performing players of official Weekend Tournaments from weeks 63 through 73.
  • 8 slots are invitational, filled at the discretion of Paradox ARC and Game River.
  • 16 slots will be reserved via the qualifying tournament.
[h3]Qualifying Tournament: [/h3]
  • The Mechabellum Launch Clash qualifying tournament will follow a double elimination format, meaning that each player has two chances to stay in the tournament.
  • Individual matches will consist of a single game.
  • Lose once: You move to the losers' bracket, where you still have a chance to fight your way to a qualifying position.
  • Lose twice: You are eliminated from the tournament.
Number of Entries:
There are sixteen slots on offer from the qualifying tournament. Therefore, up to 64 entrants will
be given the chance to qualify. If there are more than 64 entrants, the top sixty-four by all-time
highest MMR will be accepted.

  • The cost of [Sandstorm] decreased from 400 to 300, but the effective time decreased from 10s to 5s.

Fixed an issue where Efficient Small Unit Manufacturing did not affect the cost of Farseer correctly.

We're happy to announce that Mechabellum will leave Early Access, and release in 1.0 on September 26th this year!

Update 0.9.0 - Farseer & New Features

Hello Commanders,

In this update we bring you a new rare unit: Farseer. In addition, we also have the new Tech Loadout feature, the new medal system, a new Upgrade All button, a bunch of new card visuals and some balance adjustments.
This update will be carried out at 9:00 AM on August 29, 2024, UTC time. At that time, the server will undergo update maintenance for approximately 240 minutes.

[h2]New Feature: Tech Loadout[/h2]

Players can now configure different Tech loadouts for various game modes.

[h2]Medal System[/h2]

The new medal system allows players to collect and display medals earned in-game. Currently, medals are only available through tournaments, with additional sources planned for the future.

[h2]New Feature: Promote All[/h2]
Now if players have multiple units of the same type that can be promoted, players can promote them all using the "Promote All" button.

[h2]New Rare Unit: Farseer[/h2]

Farseer is a large support vehicle equipped with multiple missile launchers, offering tactical support to surrounding units. Note: The Farseer is currently a rare unit, but it may become a core unit in future updates.

[h2]New Card Visuals[/h2]

Specialists appearing between rounds have been replaced with more intuitive buff cards and visuals.

Sandworm - [Sudden Strike]: Sandworm emerges from the ground faster, with its first strike after emerging being stronger. ATK increased by 30%, splash range increased by 10m.
Crawler - [Loose Formation]: Crawlers will now move in a looser formation.

[Sabertooth Specialist]: Grants 1 Rank 1 Sabertooth for free on round 2.
[Farseer Specialist]: Grants 1 Rank 1 Farseer for free on round 3.

[Improved Tarantula]: Increases Tarantula's movement speed by 5, ATK by 20%, HP by 20%, but increases recruitment cost by 50.
[Elite Tarantula]: Allows immediate recruitment of Rank 3 Tarantula.

Fire Badger
- HP decreased from 5931 to 5635 (5% decrease).
- Cost of [Napalm] increased from 250 to 300.

Sabertooth
- [Photon Emission] has been removed.
- [Doubleshot] returns.

Typhoon
- ATK increased from 84 to 88 (5% increase).

Sandworm
- HP decreased from 51205 to 48645 (5% decrease).
- Cost of [Underground Maintenance] decreased from 250 to 150.
- Larvae created by [Replicate] are now the same rank as Sandworm.
- Larvae created by [Mechanical Division] are now the same rank as Sandworm.
- Sandworms can now burrow into the ground faster.

Initial Specialist
- [Marksman Specialist]: Gets Marksman on round 2.
- [Aerial Specialist]: ATK and HP bonus increased from 10% to 13%.

Variant
- [Improved Wraith]: ATK bonus increased from 10% to 30%, but no longer provides an HP bonus.
- [Improved Sledgehammer]: ATK bonus increased from 60% to 100%.
