Operation Steam Awards

Greetings commanders,

2024 is coming to a close and it has been an incredible journey for Mechabellum and we are happy and proud to have shared it with you the players.

With the holidays coming soon, the 2024 Steam Awards are just around the corner and we think Mechabellum could have a nomination and who knows, maybe an award! This could have a great impact on the game and bring many new players to the game.

And that is where you come in Commanders!
If you want to help Mechabellum be nominated we would like you to nominate it in the “Best Game You Suck At” category. It is the category we think we have the best shot at. Even if we all know you don’t suck at Mechabellum at all !!

Whatever the results, Mechabellum is full steam forward. Season 2 will be coming soon and will pack many new things you’ll be happy to discover after the holidays!

Fixed an issue with Phantom Ray causing a significant FPS drop.
Fixed a config error causing several high-level unit drops to appear too early.
Fixed multiple issues causing the game to freeze.
Fixed multiple localization issues.

  • Phantom Ray is a medium-sized aircraft with high HP that excels at striking enemies at close range with high-damage missiles.

[h3]Wasp[/h3]
  • The cost of [High-Explosive Ammo] decreased from 150 to 100.

[h3]Mustang[/h3]
  • The cost of [High-Explosive Ammo] decreased from 200 to 150.
  • [Missile Interceptor]'s interception efficiency increased by 20%.

[h3]Stormcaller[/h3]
  • Attack interval increased from 6.3s to 6.6s.
  • ATK increased from 784 to 821 (5% increase).
  • [High-Explosive Ammo]'s ATK reduction increased from 40% to 50%, the cost increased from 150 to 200.
    Note: While maintaining Stormcaller's DPS, this change is intended to reduce the threat of Stormcaller to light units.

  • The cost of [Elite Marksman] increased from 300 to 400.

[h3]Tarantula[/h3]
  • [High-Explosive Ammo]'s splash range bonus increased from 5m to 7m, but ATK reduction increased from 30% to 40%.

[h3]Sandworm[/h3]
  • The cost of [Replicate] increased from 200 to 250.
  • The cost of [Armor Enhancement] increased from 200 to 250.
  • The cost of [Sandstorm] decreased from 300 to 250.
  • The cost of [Mechanical Division] decreased from 200 to 100.
  • [Burrow Maintenance] increases Sandworm's HP by 20%, but the cost increased from 150 to 250.

  • Removed [Extended Range Steel Ball]
  • [Improved Tarantula] no longer increases HP, but instead increases the splash range by 4.


[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed an issue that caused the game to freeze.
  • Fixed an issue that caused data errors in 4-Player Brawl.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented unit skins from displaying properly.
  • Fixed several UI display issues.
  • Fixed multiple translation issues.
  • Fixed an issue related to sticky oil. Now igniting sticky oil outside the shield will always also ignite adjacent sticky oil inside the shield.

Fixed an issue that could cause players to be unable to enter Survival Mode.
