Patch Notes - Version 1.0.9 - 7/3/2019

Online
- Added Voting System to matchmaking games. In both Social and Competitive, there is a 30 second voting period on what map and mode to play before the game starts.
Maps
- Fixed Crash when falling to your death on Olympus
Gameplay
- Fix to issue where you couldn’t pick up weapons sometimes
Sound
- Ambient Sound improvements
- Fix to issue where you wouldn’t hear the shot of the gun that killed you sometimes
Spectator
- Made it so in POV, character’s outlines and names above their head match their team color
- Fix to red X not showing up when a player died
- Fix to bug where arms were invisible in POV
- Fix to bug where gun was cut off in POV
- Greatly improved spectator POV smoothness
Voice Chat
- Fixed an issue where muting settings didn’t save when going from pregame to ingame to postgame
- Fixed issue where Input and Output Devices wouldn’t properly show up in the settings
Animation
- Improved plasma rifle fire animation

Skins
- Sniper Raider Legendary set is now available!
- Plasma Rifle Raider Legendary set is now available!
- New Emblems for our new Splitgate Partners!
- Partner Emblems are now only available through the use of each of their Creator Codes. Go out and support your favorite Splitgate Partner. NOTE: If you already used the Creator’s code in the past, you will have access to their emblem. NOTE: If you had a partner emblem equipped before this update it will be replaced with a random emblem.

Online
- Temporary Bans for Quitting - If you leave a ranked match before it ends, you will be banned from matchmaking for 15 min. NOTE: This only applies to the first player to quit each game. Meaning if you have a teammate quit, you are safe to quit and do not have to wait until the game ends.
Gameplay
- Don’t allow pickups to be picked up through the map
- Fixed bug where bots could still spawn portals when portals were disabled in custom game settings
Maps
- SAW Stadium: Moved B Domination hill from shotgun spawn up to railgun spawn
Weapons
- Nerf: Reduced shells per shotgun clip from 4 to 3
- Nerf: Reduced max shotgun ammo from 12 to 9 shells
- Fixed inconsistent explosion damage issues with rocket launcher
Spectator
- Spectator UI Improvements
- Indicators (pickups, player name tags, etc.) now show properly in freecam
- Fixed world scoreboards while in freecam
- Small improvements to aiming accuracy
- Fixed bug where weapon would be visible when switching POV to a player who was scoping in
- New keybinding to toggle replay/spectator UI visibility
- Hill, flag, and oddball indicators now show the correct alpha/bravo team color in freecam
- Killfeed names now show the correct alpha/bravo color in freecam
UI
- Added ability to quit social games before match starts
- Fixed issues with displaying player info for non-steam friends
Sound
- Improved environment ambiences on all maps
- Don’t play announcements after match has finished
- Fixed bug where out of bounds sound wouldn’t stop playing on death
- Made it easier to tell if sounds are above/below you
- Fixed footstep issues on Outpost
- New reload sounds for other players
- Pre-game countdown timer sound fix
Animations
- Fix to issues with 3rd person flinch animations
Stability
- Fixed two crashes that could occur when closing the game

- CTF: Made it so that you can’t capture the flag unless your flag is at base
- CTF: Decreased Score Limit from 5 to 3
- CTF: Improvements to UI indicator for where to return the flag
- CTF: Flag Melee is one shot kill
- CTF: Fix to multiple scenarios where flags wouldn’t capture correctly

Gameplay
- Fixed a bug with Easy bots that would cause them to not move properly sometimes
Online
- Added Waiting Area to Ranked Matchmaking where you spawn in a free for all game until you find a suitable match
- Fixed a bug in matchmaker causing queue times to be longer than they should have been
- Party Invites will now ping players through steam if they are offline
- Improved team balancing in matchmaking algorithm
UI
- Improved Friends List UI to making it easier to find friends who are in game
- Fix to wrong text being displayed for 50 killstreak
Spectator
- Improvements to spectator UI/UX
- Made scoreboard static positioned, based on teams, instead of switching based on who you are viewing
- Fixed bugs with characters not animating through walls if they were far away
- Fixed bugs when spawning as freecam at the beginning of a match
- Enemy outlines are now shown through walls to make spectating easier
Sound
- Fixed bug where ragdoll sound would keep playing more than once
- Enemy behind portal warning sound now correctly stops playing when portal is unlinked
- New out of bounds sound effect

TEAM SOCIAL IS BACK! Update live now

We hear you and want to be as responsive as possible with our community so we have added Team Social back. Also,our top priority is to get games quickly. We temporarily removed TDM/FFA to make sure you all get games quickly but plan to add them back. Thank you for your feedback and patience! All gamemodes are still playable in custom games.
