Patch Notes 2.1.0

Online
* Competitive Season 2 starts today at 9 AM!
* Playlist Rotations - Playlists will be available at various times during the day for a select period of time
* This gives you all more ways to play Splitgate, and allows us to test which modes are community favorites! We will be adjusting schedule based on feedback
* Playing playlists other than Social will give you an XP Boost

Rumble - New Playlist!
* Rumble contains a variety of modes with modified game settings (low gravity, super speed, etc.)
* Zombie VIP - Each team has 1 VIP equipped with a carbine to defend against enemies with bats travelling at 1.5x speed. VIP has 80 Health, Others have 40 Health
* Super KOTH - King of the Hill with Shotguns Only + 1.5x Speed + Unlimited Ammo
* Splitball - Oddball with BFBs Only + 1.5x Speed + No Portals + Low Gravity
* Rocket Domination - Domination with Unlimited Rockets Only, No Jetpack, 1.5x Gravity, 2.5x Jump Height
* Old School Slayer - No Portals, No Sprinting, No Jetpack, 0.9x Speed, 1.5x Jump Height, 150 Health
* Lasertag - Plasma Only, Low Gravity + 1.5x Jetpack Boost
* Big Head Snipers - Snipers Only, Big Heads

Game Modes
* Loadout for Social Modes will stay as Carbine + Assault Rifle
* Loadout for Competitive Modes will be Carbine + Pistol
* Sniper Spawns with only 1 clip in 2v2 Modes

Killcam
* Adding a Highlights Only option to Killcam which only shows Killcam if you were killed in highlight worthy fashion
* Killcam setting defaults to Highlights Only, you can change in settings
* Fixing issue where Killcam would show a black screen for an extended period of time

UI
* Fixing issue where Item Shop would scroll back to start after inspecting an item
* Fixing performance issues in Locker screen
* Other minor layout improvements

Splitgate: Arena Warfare - Season 2 Launch

We are excited to announce the launch of Season 2 of Splitgate! We have been working hard to give our community more ways to FRAG, and we are excited to show you all what we have been working on. Hope you get a chance to check it out. See you in the Arena!

[h3]New Map - Oasis[/h3]
Once a luxury beach resort, Oasis is now a beachside battlefield open to all combatants. This sunny and sandy arena features long lines of sight and tall portal walls, so make sure you locate a long-range weapon! Note: Rest and relaxation are not included while fighting on Oasis.

[h3]New Weapon - Carbine[/h3]
The Carbine is a medium to long-ranged, semi-automatic rifle suitable for all types of encounters. The Carbine replaced the Assault Rifle in both Social and Ranked matches as the primary starting weapon.

[h3]Season 2 Arena Pass[/h3]
Progress through 100 levels of the Season 2 Arena Pass to earn awesome cosmetics, including multiple new EXCLUSIVE weapon and armor sets, sprays, emotes, portal guns, jetpacks and more! Everyone can participate; however, players who purchase the Premium Arena Pass unlock more exclusive content. If you make it to level 100 of the Premium Arena Pass, you unlock the KINGDOM Battle Rifle. Good luck!



Additional Updates

Additional updates included in Splitgate’s Season 2 release are: performance optimizations, skin improvements, UI improvements and overhauls, updated Locker layout, map improvements, replaced emblems with sprays, and removed the Arena Alloy and SAW Packs.

Season 2 Patch Notes - 06/15/2020

* New Map

Maps

* New Map - Oasis is a new outdoor map set on a tropical island
* Olympus overhaul
* Improved collision and visuals on all maps
* Replacing Railgun with Sniper on Helix
* Replacing Rocket with Railgun on Abyss

Weapons/Balancing

* New Weapon - Carbine. Semi-Auto, medium to long-range weapon
* Redesigned Pistol to be rapid fire with less damage
* To be used as a sidearm instead of a main weapon
* SMG and AR slight nerfs to range

Killcam (Beta)

* Adding Killcam that’s played after dying, letting you see how you were killed during a match
* Killcam may have some issues, if you experience any or want to disable, you can disable it in the settings

Arena Pass

* New Season 2 Arena Pass - Featuring exclusive new characters and weapon skins
* Added Arena Pass Bundle
* Added ability to buy multiple levels at once

Monetization/Skins

* All cosmetics are now purchased through the Item Shop
* Removing SAW Packs + Arena Alloy
* Going forward we will be focusing on quality over quantity, and we are open to feedback/ideas!
* All skins received a polish pass
* Sprays - Removing Chest Emblems and replacing with sprays (default button is H)
* SAW Pack Drops will be replaced with Cosmetic Drops
* Marking several old skins as Legacy - meaning they will show up in the new legacy section of the locker

Game Modes

* All standard modes now start with Carbine and Pistol
* SWAT - Carbine replaces BR and pistol removed

Online

* Ranked play will begin June 29 to allow time for any balancing changes that are needed
* Ranks have been soft reset - you will have to re-calibrate your rank when ranked play unlocks

Gameplay

* First Person Animation Improvements
* Performance Improvements
* EMP Grenade model improvements
* EMP Grenade throw is now less glitchy

UI

* Brand New Main Menu Design and Experience
* General UI/UX Overhaul
* Improving Reward Received Notifications by grouping them all in one

1.9.0 Update - Higher Level Cap, New Bunny Hop Armor, and MORE!

Store

* New Easter Skin available in the Item Shop - Bunny Hop Armor + Jetpack

Game Modes

* Capture the Flag Revamp
* Players can now sprint and portal with the flag
* After a capture, flag will take 5 seconds to respawn
* Certain portal walls on each map are disabled in CTF
* Score Limit increased to 5

Balancing

* AR dmg increase: 9→8 bullets to kill
* Pistol: removed damage drop off
* Shotgun: tighter/more consistent spread
* Sniper: zoom amount slightly reduced and scope less dark on edges
* Plasma rifle: projectile size increased 50→ 60cm radius
* Battle rifle: quicker burst. .045→ .04 seconds in between each bullet fired for a given burst

Online

* Adding inactivity checks
* If you are inactive for 2 minutes, you will be kicked from the game to the main menu
* If you are inactive in the post game lobby, you will not be requeued
* Increasing XP Level Cap to 1000
* SAW Pack reward every 10 levels

UI

* Pause Menu Style Upgrade + Controller Support
* Race Menu Style Upgrade + Controller Support

Misc

* Fixed an issues where players would see a black screen when trying to load Tutorial Videos
* Fixed an issue where there was a glow effect in the middle of the map

* Best Available - Adding option to queue matchmaking and search for best game available, this will place you in either a social or competitive game
* Auto Requeueing - The game will automatically requeue you into the playlist you previously searched for 20 sec after you complete an online match
* Matchmaking now cancels if you leave a Waiting Area for the Main Menu

* New Post Game Flow
* After a game is completed, players will see a new Post Game UI screen, which will contain various stats with medals to indicate how you did compared to the other players on your team
* Players will then be auto queued into another match
* Fixed bug where plasma rifle wouldn’t cooldown if you fired or closed a portal after it overheated
* Fixed bug where portal/suicide kills didn’t play kill sound or show damage done
* Fixed bug where unlinked portals would sometimes keep flashing and playing audio
