С завтрашнего дня кооперативный ролевой шутер от People Can Fly и Square Enix появится в Windows Store и будет добавлен в подписку на PC, а также Game Pass Ultimate.

Outriders is coming to Game Pass for PC

Outriders is on the way to Xbox Game Pass for PC, scheduled to hit the subscription service October 19. That's good news for everyone still playing People Can Fly's loot-shooter on Steam, since a patch that dropped today for the Steam edition of the co-op game enables cross-play with the Microsoft Store version.

If you've been playing Outriders on Steam, there's a 4.8 GB patch to download, updating the game to allow cross-play with the Microsoft Store version and correcting issues with two mods. Specifically, the Grand Opening and Scrap Grenade mods had a bug that resulted in the mods triggering with every shot, which was not their intended behaviour. That's been fixed, but the more consequential change will certainly be adding Game Pass players to the Outriders player pool.

People Can Fly says it's working on bringing the Stadia edition in line with the version of Outriders found on other platforms, and plan to enable cross-play between Stadia players and everyone else in Outriders along with the November update. So before long, everyone in Outriders will be able to jump into co-op with everyone else.

Outriders' Devastator gets some needed fixes in a new patch

After last month's round of buffs to all of Outriders' classes, a new patch that's out today has focused on some outstanding issues with the co-op game's Devastator specifically. The latest update addresses issues with the Devastator's impale skill and its ability to dodge reliably when certain mods are equipped.

The new patch corrects the behaviour of the Devastator's impale ability, so that enemies that have been killed by it will register as being dead before they despawn. Another Devastator ability, reflect bullets, should now provide protection from Sciathan projectiles - these are the flying pterodactyl-type creatures that can manipulate electrical currents when they're aggravated. Another bug that's been addressed in this patch is one that cropped up when Devastators tried to dodge while using the Auto Reflect mod. That's corrected now, so tanky players won't have to take quite as many extraneous shots to the face anymore.

People Can Fly also says it's fixed a bug that prevented the Technomancer's Plague Sower set bonuses from activating correctly, and it's addressed an issue that was causing the Pyromancer's phoenix nesling passive to restore 100% of health, rather than the intended 50%, during multiplayer.
