[p]Hi everyone![/p][p][/p][p]We've just dropped a BIG CONTENT UPDATE for Descenders on Steam - the Big Air Compound Update! We know you've all been dying for more Descenders maps (you ask us EVERY DAY, and we love it) so of course, we had to scratch that itch before 2025 is wrapped up! But wait, not only have we got NEW MAPS, we've got a NEW BIKE TYPE, and we aren't stopping there - BRAND NEW MISSIONS, and even MORE CUSTOMIZATION ITEMS for your rider (did someone say they needed a bucket hat?)[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]We can't just bring out a new bike park without new missions, so be sure to go check your GRAND TOUR! You'll find a new set of objectives specifically for the new Big Air Compound map, all with new customization unlocks! On top of that, we thought this update was the perfect one for a new bike type too, since we've not had a new one for quite some time! But of course, we can't NOT add in some new gear items too! Shall we get into what's waiting for you?[/p][p][/p][h3]NEW BIKE PARKS[/h3][p]We've added a BRAND NEW map, the Matt Macduff inspired Big Air Compound! Matt MacDuff is a pro mountain biker from Canada, who is known for building some of the biggest backyard jumps in the world, one of them being his well known Big Air Compound! Practice your tricks & beat your airtime record in this high octane map! Shall we move on to our favourite mod maps?[/p][p][/p][h3]UTAH TRAILS[/h3][p]Take to the dirt in Utah Trails, thanks to our talented community member, Wiking! With lots of steep & downhill action, can you make it to the bottom in one piece? This might be the perfect map to try out that new bike type...[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]GRASSHOPPER DH[/h3][p]We're moving from the dirt to the forest! Another great map by Wiking, Grasshopper DH is filled with high speed action & lots of twists and turns! Try not to bail, and watch out for those trees, there's a lot of them...[/p][p][/p][h3]BIKEOUT 5[/h3][p]Of course, how can we ever neglect the BikeOuts? We know how much you love them 👀 We're bringing you BikeOut 5, the next one in the series! Filled with even more challenging stunts & tricks than ever before, how fast are you going to master this beast?[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]NEW GRAND TOUR MISSIONS & CUSTOMIZATION[/h3][p]You'll find a bunch of NEW missions in the Grand Tour, which will unlock brand NEW customization items! We've also added a brand new bike type, which will unlock when completing the Big Air Compound missions: the BRNZL Enduro - the perfect bike to balance power & agility![/p][p][/p][p]For customization, we've added NEW hoodies (unlocked through missions), and a NEW item set: Phillips shirts and a Big Air Compound hoodie (which can be unlocked through Big Air Compound missions). We've also sneaked in a bucket hat too - how fast can you unlock it?[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]BUG FIXES & QUALITY OF LIFE IMPROVEMENTS[/h3]

• [p]Riot Tour routes adjusted as they were too easy to complete when resetting the level[/p]
• [p]If a player doesn't have an unlocked item in the inventory, selecting "Reward Claimed" again will now reward the item again[/p]
• [p]Fixed a bug where an error message would pop-up for Race Mode when no bike parks have been selected[/p]
• [p]Fixed a bug where RageSquid Riot Tour route missions were triggering too soon when retrying in Bike Park mode[/p]
• [p]Bike Parks Island Cakewalk, Jump City and Utah Trails now have new Out Of Bounds triggers that shoot the player back when trailing off[/p]
• [p]Mt. Slope now has banners to indicate the start direction for race mode- [/p]
• [p]Grand Tour mission & Career Plus progress are now added to cloud save[/p]
• [p]New platform icons showing if players are on Linux, and updated the Mac graphic[/p]
• [p]The Shed now has a working interactable (draggable) scrollbar to scroll through items, and also uses the mouse wheel for interaction[/p]

Hi everyone!

It has been an incredible launch for Descenders Next! In just 24 hours, since we shadow dropped the game, we have had over 100,000 of you jumping in and taking on the snowy peaks & dirt tracks! For context, it took the original Descenders 18 MONTHS to get those kind of numbers, so we are truly amazed at how many of you turned out to the launch, and we can't thank you enough!



So, we've been receiving super useful feedback from you all while you've been playing, and we've already got a plan of things we're wanting to look at! Here is a quick run-down of a few things we've seen pop up often:

• Speed: We know a lot of you are speed demons, but we hear that you'd like a bit more control over it too, so we're having a look at how we can make high speeds feel a bit easier to handle
  
  
• Brakes: We've seen a few of you ask for some sort of brake mechanic to help with the high speeds, so this is something we're also taking a look at, which would also help with the speed topic from earlier
  
  
• Multiplayer Game Modes: We hear you! We're looking at even more Multiplayer modes and opportunities to play with your friends, and more ways to smoothly progress through the map with your party
