UPDATE #002 - THIS IS HOW WE DO IT
[h2]STATUS[/h2]
For the sake of transparency, we'd like to dedicate this update to discuss our current situation and our short term goals.
Presently, we have a prototype for Cold Comfort. This prototype includes the following:
In the prototype, SURVIVOR players’ objectives are to find and evacuate as many Civilians (NPCs in
the Civilian state) as possible. Whereas, the GAMMA PRIMES’ main prerogative is to spread the
infection, by any means necessary to as many Civilians NPCs and enemy players as they can.
In later versions, these winning conditions will stay but there will be more conditions added to make
for a more complex gameplay experience.
[h2]WORKIN' IT[/h2]
Not to bore you with the details, but as a young start-up with visions of grandeur, it is our task to find a fitting investor and or publisher for the further development of Cold Comfort. We've been lucky so far, that we were able to find some initial angel investors and with the help of the local government, we were able to get the financing in place to complete our prototype. With the prototype in hand, we are now in a very good position to be able to argue the validity of the concept of Cold Comfort. Sure, it's a prototype- but with proper planning, the right team, and adequate funding it can be something amazing.
We've actually already implemented quite a lot of these features already in the prototype. In hindsight, having fully modular AI is dope, but we did end up spending a lot of time working on that, and perhaps our time would have been better spent honing the gunplay, but hey, it's a learning experience.
[h2]WISHLIST[/h2]
Not gonna lie here, the whole wishlist option was one of the biggest motivational factors in our decision to go live with our steam page. Adding Cold Comfort to your wishlist is a great way to support the development and stay up to date. As we are a small indie dev studio among many, garnering the attention of not only potential fans, but also potential publishers is of paramount importance. Is Cold Comfort going to be successful? Who the heck knows! All we can say is that we are confident that with the proper support, we strive to make Cold Comfort a contender.

In addition to the English version, our steam page is now available in the following languages:
We are currently working on a number of other language versions as well! We want as many potential fans of Cold Comfort to be able to get hyped about the game as possible.

- The ability to embody a rat and evolve into a Gamma Prime
- 2 Survivor Characters
- 2 Gamma Prime Characters
- Fully network replicated
- Realistic ballistics (including bullet drop and spread)
