4.2 Makeover

v4.2 Makeover

New Features:
Improved color palette. (the game now has more blue, purple,
and teal throughout much of it, however, this is still a work in progress)
Ghostship quest added North of Lazik city.
Redid Jahan quest with new dialogue and reward.
Redid all of Captain Reins dialogue.
Redid Northern Katis guard scene.
Expanded The Hollows to have a small basement area.
Expanded The Hollows to have a new bar. (killing enemies
and completing the new ghostship quest will attract
customers to the bar, offering rewards when you do)
Slightly expanded Katis Barracks for realism purposes.
5 new PoBs added to Frozen Ocean. (at the moment, this
giant area is still rather barren)
Created some new boss music. (this is still being worked on)
Created new music for a section of the Water Temple.

Balancing:
Increased enemy tech rate on Nightmare from 2500 to 3000.
Increased enemy tech rate on Infinite Nightmare from 5000
to 9000. (may god have mercy on my soul)

Misc:
Added a few more soldier NPCs in Northern Katis.
Added more NPCs in the Hollows.
Added some new NPCs that only show up after a new quest.
Slightly reduced size of Psuedo Hell Temple. (the place
was a bit too confusing)
Late game enemies are now harder to run from.
Game now keeps track of AP souls used. (there will be a
skill respecing in the future, so all ap souls used from
this point forward will have their ap accounted for)

New Features:
New questline in ghost town.

Balancing:
Increased ap cost of tier 2 weapon skills by 1.
Increased ap cost of tier 3 weapon skills by 3.
Increased ap cost of tier 4 weapon skills by 7.
Increased ap cost of weapon ultimates by 4.
Red shadow spells now also cost a little bit of mana.
Mana shot spells now also cost a little bit of stamina.
Slightly increased damage of mana shot skills.
Increased all sidestep cooldowns by 2.
Reduced dagger's contemplate from 50 to 35%.
Slightly increased attack portion of mace skills.
Increased strike chest debuff chance from 25 to 30%.
Increased paraylsis from 50 to 60%.
Slightly reduced gravity damage.
Reduced gravity debuff skill from 50 to 35%.
Balance is now 5 turns of +50% spell reflect.
Imperfect balance is now 5 turns of +75% spell reflect.
Town attacks now happen a little bit sooner.

Misc:
Removed "I'm cold" events in prologue.
Slightly brightened Katis.
Slightly brightened some areas around Katis.

New Features:
Added new icons for many skills and states.
(thanks to BackLiquidSorrow for the icons)

Balancing:
Increased strength of first 3 tiers of Golem Dungeon.
Major increase in overall strength to Golem Dungeon.

Misc:
Lowered view limit in mode 7. (this removes shaking
of distant objects and improves stability)
Reduced filesize of icons. (this improves menu
performance and stability)
Fights in Golem Dungeon are no longer repeatable.
Moved Southern Katis savepoint southward.
Saveslots 4 and beyond can no longer be loaded.

New Features:
New quest added in waypoint area after 5 waypoints.
All buildings in Red Temple can now be entered.
Additional floor added to Bronze Temple.

Balancing:
Doubled base stats of all party members.
Slightly increased growth rate of all stats.
Increased mid to late exp rate by 10-20%.
Increased exp bonus for poetry of bloods.
Slightly lowered enemy health on tech levels 1-25.
Lowered difficulty of golem dungeon by 20%.
Increased weapon and armor drop rates on most enemies.

Misc:
Fixed negative effects of poetry of bloods.
Fixed some minor text issues.

New Features:
Sail to a new location in the South West that will test your
golem's capabilities.

Balancing:
Increased party member health gains from leveling by 25%.
Significantly lowered enemy stats on tech levels 1-20.
Slightly lowered enemy stats on tech levels 21-25.
Slightly lowered stats on Wooden Ocean and Sewer enemies.
Slightly increased mid to late exp rate by another 1-2%.
Thread magic is now the only magic that bypasses protection.
Luck protects against thread magic even further.
Level now also protects against thread magic.
Rolling no longer causes knockdown.
Doubled evasion and magic evasion of side step.
Increased counter chance of side step from +10% to +50%.

Misc:
Fixed the script that was causing the permastate bug. (all
new playthroughs created within the last 6 updates require
a new playthrough for this to properly take effect)
