2nd Anniversary | Public Test Branch | What is to come!
Things have taken a long time to get sorted out, and my heart goes out to those affected by the novel Covid-19.
The first anniversary was hardly acknowledged, but I was more prepared the second time around. Thank you for supporting Wrath of the Goliaths! Here's to the 2nd Anniversary! This update will bring the game closer to completion, minus a bit of content that is coming down the road. In celebration Wrath of the Goliaths will go on sale tomorrow at 25% off!
Without further ado, let's take a look at the upcoming locations and the available hunts!
Overlook Peak
A forest featuring many new hunts! This area is a medium sized hunt area, boasting around 5 hunts!
- T.Rex - Trophy Hunt
- Apatosaurus
- Triceratops
- Stegosaurus
- Pteranodon
And in case you download the upcoming Pentaceratops DLC, there will be two additional hunts.
- DLC - Pentaceratops
- DLC - Stokesosaurus
Cascade Wetlands
This is a medium sized hunt area, but be weary of the foliage. It's the perfect camouflage for many of the predators that roam the swamps.
Here's a handful of species you can hunt here:
- T.Rex - Trophy Hunt
- Dilophosaurus
- Prestosuchus
- Carnotaurus
- Triceratops
- Geosternbergia
And in case you download the upcoming Pentaceratops DLC, there will be one additional hunt.
- DLC - Stokesosaurus
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There's been a lot of TLC done to some of our current hunts.
Megalosaurus

Triceratops

Stegosaurus

Sauroposeidon
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nigersaurus:
This bizarre hunt love's to graze on grass. Since they were rediscovered, they have been incredibly fond of dryer vegetation. It mostly likes to be left alone, but will trample you if disturbed.
Brachiosaurus:
A gentle giant, this is one of the first Goliath hunts available! Are you capable of taking on a Goliath Hunt?
Regaliceratops:
This dinosaur is definitely is something to look at. If you come across a Regaliceratops, be sure to have a strong weapon. This dinosaur and along with the previous two make their debut on the Overlook Peaks map.
Styracosaurus:
The Styracosaurus is fairly aggressive with it's loud thundering feet. You will be able to tell when one is nearby. It doesn't need to be stealthy when it can easily impale you! Be weary hunter. This hunt will be available on both new maps.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- The X-Sniper is a lethal weapon capable of taking out a goliath dinosaur with a single well-placed headshot, or a couple of body shots. This weapon is a must if you plan on bagging a goliath!
- The Spitfire, perfect for quickly warding off ambushing dinosaurs. It will take care of any little dinosaur with ease.
- The Decimator is equipped with four barrels. A quick way to get in and out of each hunt, surely a hunters best friend, but at a big price!
-The Triumvirate Rifle is a semi-automatic rifle. Quick for picking off any wandering dinosaur.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now where else would you store these new hunts once you've gone and bagged them? Well the trophy room of course!

Here you will build a vista of your own trophies you've gathered through hunting in free hunt. You will start out with very limited breathing room and as you get more trophies, you will naturally be able to work towards unlocking the rest of the vista!
If you happen to no longer want to keep your trophies you can sell them for a new in-game currency known as "Bones". Whatever happens to your old trophies, happens and is permanent so make sure you want to sell them.
You will be able to use the new currency to purchase unlockables such as new hunt licenses, weapons, and more! As well as being able to use the currency to expand your trophy room.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's take a look at some of the updated maps:
Haystack Ridge at Dawn:

Haystack Ridge at Noon:

Haystack Ridge at Night:
Yes, time of day! You can check out Haystack Ridge and the Sonoran Desert hunt areas at different times of day. Other maps will eventually receive the same treatment, and in future updates there will also be time of day specific events such as certain hunts only coming out at night or day.
Flatlands:
The Flatlands now has some trees! The Apatosaurus' are very happy about this change, it's even attracted Sauroposeidon! You may have a long way to go before you're able to take on this hunt.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alternate Skins
There has been a bit of randomness involved in how the skins were selected. That's been changed to be more of an exact chance. I am also happy to say that most of the animals now have a melanistic and albino skin that is more in line with how these work in nature.
Here is an example of the Albino and Melanistic variants of Stegosaurus, alongside the common variation:

Here is a sneak peak at all the available skins for Megalosaurus:

You may note that there were some upcoming features that are now pushed back. I believe they are not quite ready yet, but I will be sure to be more frequent in updates.
