7 Years of Wrath of the Goliaths

It’s hard to believe it’s already been seven years. Over that time, I’ve dreamed up countless ideas for this game, and I’m grateful to say that many of them have become reality. Today isn’t just another update; it’s a celebration. A celebration of dinosaurs, and of the game itself.[/p][p]As we look ahead, I’m excited to share what’s coming in the next update. I hope you’ll look forward to it as much as I do.[/p][p]Thank you, hunters, for being part of this journey.

[/p][p]With the major updates outlined, some minor updates include:[/p]
  • [p]Reworked Main Menu[/p]
  • [p]The Bones Shop to purchase licenses with bones[/p]
  • [p]A new tutorial to get new hunters started! [/p]
  • [p]Also improved flyer AI, they will move with the terrain, avoiding impact with the ground and each other. [/p][p][/p]
[p]It may be good to mention that among the handful of previous updates. Its worth mentioning, I made the switch to Unreal Engine 5 from Unreal Engine 4. It required a significant re-code for the menu and hunt systems. I also experimented with the various features Unreal Engine 5 has to offer. Many of these features were gorgeous, but significantly impacted performance. Some time was taken to undo many of those changes (Rollback and versioning software, who heard of 'em!).[/p][p]Looking ahead, I want to shake it off and continue strong. What started as a silly passion-project turned game has grown into something far greater than I could have imagined. That’s entirely because of your support.[/p][p]Every bit of encouragement, every piece of feedback, and every hour you’ve spent playing has helped me stay true to this project and keep moving forward. Hey hunters, got quite a few bug fixes done.

  • TS Rifle now deals double damage


Fixes:

  • Pteranodons fly smoother
  • Weapon should now set in hunt popup
  • Bullet hits are using the correct emitter
  • Perks now work as expected
  • Crosshairs work
  • Concavenator animation speed tweaked
  • Sauroposeidon should now be killable, reduced health from 520,000 to 52,000
  • Added Dimetrodon to haystack ridge
  • Text appears when near interactables
  • Changed crosshair highlight to orange.

Update 2.076

Hey all,

Update 2.076.010042024 is now live! It features a more stable release, fixing numerous bugs. Added a new perk, the super flashlight, and added the option to invert y-axis.

Known bugs:
- Arthisle blocks the player from shooting
- Arthisle's ocean is not fully rendered
- Arthisle's hunter spawn points are using old locations

A patch to fix these issues is underway!
