INTRODUCTION
Welcome Pilots and fans of Project Genesis! We are thrilled to announce the release of our latest pre-alpha milestone update, Neo, which brings many exciting new features that we believe will enhance your gameplay experience.
AVATAR & BATTLE CRAFT ABILITIES
We are excited to tell you more about the new Mods system and the incredible array of new abilities it brings to both the avatars and battlecraft. With the new Mods system, players can select up to three passives each for their avatars and battlecraft. These new abilities are designed to provide a range of new options for players, greatly enhancing your gameplay experience.
For instance, with the Opti-Tac mod, players can switch and reload weapons 33% faster, giving them an edge in combat. Meanwhile, the Faraday Capacitor reduces the time of EMP stun effects by 50%, helping you to stay in the fight even when the enemy is using electronic warfare.
For stealth players, we've added new always-on abilities that will make you harder to detect. The Thermal Lensing mod renders your avatar invisible on enemy minimaps and thermal imaging optics, while your battlecraft becomes invisible on minimaps. Additionally, the Sonic Dampener mod ensures that your avatar's footstep and reload audio cannot be heard by enemies for 15 seconds. These abilities will enable you to sneak up on enemies or evade detection when trying to complete objectives.
But we've also added some exciting new active abilities for you to try out, with the introduction of the new Skill Streaks system. These powerful Ultimate abilities are assigned to keys 3, 4, and 5 and are unlocked by obtaining a certain number of killstreaks. With the new Skill Streaks, players can unleash devastating abilities like the Shield Fields, which creates a bubble that your entire team can use to protect themselves. Or try out the Auto Turret, which automatically targets and takes down your enemies, giving you a significant advantage in battle.
For those who like to play the supportive role, we've added the Core Booster ability that can provide healing to your team members, while the Density Field increases weapon damage by 50% for your team within its sphere. But if you really want to cause chaos on the battlefield, try out the Seismic Detonator, which is twice as powerful as C4 with a larger area of effect and longer-lasting explosions.
With these new abilities, Project Genesis is taking the multiplayer shooter experience to a whole new level. Whether you prefer stealth, support, or want to wreak havoc on the battlefield, there is something for everyone in the Neo update. So get ready to try out the new Skill Streaks and the range of new passives and actives in the upcoming pre-alpha milestone update.
PLAYER EXPERIENCE
We've added several new features to enhance your gaming experience. The new Compass Navigation System makes it easy to navigate the game and find the information you need to succeed. Meanwhile, the Backend Analytics will allow us to collect data on how players interact with the game, identify popular areas, underused features, and areas for improvement.
We're also working on improving the Player Onboarding process to make it more streamlined and user-friendly for new players. This will help players get started quickly and dive right into the game without feeling overwhelmed.
We have added even more new features to Project Genesis to keep the gameplay fresh and exciting. For instance, the new Climb and Vault Animations will make your gaming experience more immersive and engaging and will provide you with new and exciting challenges to test your skills against.
In addition to these exciting additions, we've made significant changes to the game mechanics to enhance your gaming experience. Updated deployable shields now block FPS/BattleCraft movement+weapon fire, and the FPS shield has been lowered & widened. We've also implemented the same "Near Miss" event functionality for Ships Weapons that Avatar Weapons have, providing a more immersive experience. Furthermore, we've added new features such as the Stove Pipe Ionic - SFX and VFX, and dynamic spawning in TDM onslaught maps. We've even added middle cover to TDM to make the game more exciting.
Overall, we're excited to bring you these new features, and we can't wait to see what you all think of the Neo update. We believe that these changes will make Project Genesis an even more immersive and exciting gaming experience, and we're committed to continuing to improve the game in the future.
DROP SYSTEM SHOWCASE
The Drop System Showcase is another new feature coming online for Neo, which will reward players for contending with challenging enemies. The spawn pool will allow us to expand the variety of opponents and strategies they use to confront players. The drop system will allow players to receive loot and items, perhaps even allocating rare skins, emblems, banners, and other cosmetics.
We're experimenting with both of these systems, and we're eager to hear your insights and preferences. Join us while they're under construction, and share your thoughts on how we can improve these features.

FIXES
- Fix for being in a Turret Emplacement and being downed to cause an unintended situation. Being downed will now force you out of a Turret Emplacement.
- Fixed an issue where Client side Avatars that had Died would not be destroyed after a set period, this would cause them to linger indefinately.
- Fixed an issue where the PostProcessComponent responsible for managing screen effects for Avatars would persist due to the above issue, it would cause subsequent Avatars to take on its PostProcess Effects when a Player stood above the dead body of another Avatar.
- Fixed an issue where Placeable Turrets would display an incorrect name in some circumstances.
- Implemented a `bForce` property onto the Weapon Switching functions, this enables it to override any type of cancellation that maybe attempting to stop the swap from occurring. This fixes an edge case issue where a Player goes into a Downed state just as they were firing their Weapon, the Weapon firing cancels the Weapon Switch into the Weapon None and resulting in the Player retaining control over their current Weapon in the Downed state when they shouldn't have.
- Fixed an issue with FPS Weapon Instant Hit firing where it was not correctly adding the TraceStart and TraceEnd values when an Instant Hit did not impact anything at all.
- Fixed an issue where some critical code was not being executed for the Avatars upon respawn in a certain edge case.
- Setup functionality for causing Placeable Turrets to be destroyed automatically when their Owner has left the match.
- Fixed an issue where the HealthCrate would deal damage when it was destroyed.
- Fixed an issue where the AmmoCrate and HealthCrate had incorrect Collision settings causing them to fall through geometry.
- Added turret meshes to render custom depth group (now shows in thermal scope)
- Fix for an issue where a previous commit to SpawnPoints caused their TeamID property to be invisible in details panels.
