Update 0.55.5 - Canyon respawn system changes

Update 0.55.5 is ready to download! In this version, we’ve made changes to the respawn system of the “Canyon” location to change “respawn-wars”, made some optimizations of character models, armor, bullet casings physics, and made a number of different fixes and improvements!

[h2]Changes in the “Canyon” respawn system[/h2]

After constructive discussions with our community in the Discord, our team drew attention to “respawn-wars” in the “Canyon”, and we decided to make changes in the respawn system.

There were special invisible fields in the specified radius from outposts. On entering into these fields, the player respawn points change to respawn at E-3 and D-7 sectors accordingly. If players entered the game in this radius they are also appeared at these respawn points.

This was made to prevent a possibility to put the engineer with the jammer offline near the outposts: players were able to load the engineer with the jammer immediately after capturing started and begin to hack the command core. Thanks to these fields this problem was resolved.

Eventually, it happened that the players began to concentrate on one or two points of the respawn, which contributed to the strengthening of the "respawn-wars". We agree with the community that this needs to be changed. Therefore, these fields have been REMOVED.

Instead, the CCD (Command Core Defender) device has been added for the defense side. CCD allows you to instantly teleport to a base controlled by your faction while consuming 5% of your NDP battery charge. This will allow you to instantly react to the engineers who have entered the game near the outpost and repel such an attack. The device is sold by merchants at outposts and requires the “Faction Arsenal” technology. Only clan leaders and deputies can buy the device.

Thus, now the respawn points will not be changed to E-3 and D-7 as before, and they will be right there where the player registered his character. Simply put, if someone likes “cave wars”, he has to go there and take respawn point. In this case, players get the freedom of respawning choice, and this choice will be a deliberate choice of the players themselves.

[h2]Other changes[/h2]

  • Optimized materials of character armor. Now it more “light” and it should bring some performance improvements when a lot of characters on the scene at the same time.
  • Optimized character models. Now characters have fewer details on big range, that also should bring some performance improvements;
  • Bullet casings physics optimization: now it requires fewer resources of the system. Should be better;
  • Common chat now works on 400 meters distance range in locations “Coast”, “Swamp” and “Dead forest”. It can improve players’ cooperation. For other locations distance is 200 meters.
  • Solved a problem with chitin helmet 3D preview: instead of it, there was displayed “Grand Ushanka”. Fixed;
  • The item that allows changing gender has been added to the in-game store. Don’t forget to set up your character after changing gender;
  • Added a new element for character customization: shirt;
  • Fuel canisters at the Coast location. There were a lot of claims, that they don't work. Actually, they work well, but often they were empty. We made them fill faster;
  • Now sun spiders always switch the target to closest;
  • Additional lanterns with lighting have been added to the "Solnechniy" location to make it more comfortable at night;
  • “Grand Ushanka” has been improved: now in the dark, it loses its brightness depending on the distance;
  • Added in-game achievements for obtaining some titles in PvP. Title holders will receive achievements automatically.
