Update 0.56.6 - “Lunar New Year” event!

Good day, fighters!

We've released update 0.56.6, which will launch the Lunar New Year event. Also, we've made some changes, fixes, and improvements.

“Lunar New Year” event




The Old man in the white robe has appeared in the settlements again! He again told the story that if you appease the spirits of the elements, you can get not only their good graces and patronage but also a reward!

Complete this Old man's quests to appease five Elemental Spirits and get themed weapon skins! All tasks can only be completed once. If you managed to appease at least one of the elemental spirits or you did it before, then the Old man is ready to give you one more additional reward, which was not there before!

In exchange for fillers of each of the colors, you can get a can of special paint that reacts to your weapon's shots! Also, for completing any quests in the game, you will be rewarded with holiday snacks.

Special holiday bundles have appeared in the in-game store, which contains not only snacks and paint but also a special mask for the character.



The event starts on February 1 and ends on February 16 at 00:00 UTC. The NPC will stay in the locations for a while so that everyone has time to complete the quests. All items needed to complete the Old man's quests will be removed from the game along with the end of the event.

Other changes


  • Faction NPC-recruiters appeared in the "Tunnels" location. Currently, these NPCs are required in order for faction players to move from the Tunnels to the Testing Grounds. We expect that the faction that does not own roadblocks in the "Canyon" location will receive additional opportunities for confrontation in the "Testing Grounds" location.
  • Changed the event with a giant flesh-eater in the "Coast" location. Now, this event has become a little more difficult, and the rewards have been increased in number.
  • Some NPC bandits, for example in the "Swamp" location, can now sometimes turn on flashlights when moving at night.
  • Fixed a problem with switching LODs for sights on the L96A1.
  • Fixed an issue that caused environment and moped sounds to play while riding a moped even though they were disabled in the game settings. Wind and moped sounds are now FX sounds.
  • Fixed a problem due to which the reward for events at the "Arena of Drones" location was given out even to those players who did not take part in the event.
  • Fixed an issue where opening the in-game store could cause the game to crash;
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Big Crab event rewards to not be given out in the "Coast" location.
  • Now the tokens for participation in the event are distributed correctly among the participants.
  • Fixed a problem with paint flickering on some types of painted weapons.
  • Now "Survival Experience" affects hunger and thirst. The higher the “Survival experience”, the less often the character wants to eat and drink.
  • Fixed a problem with a low frame rate of TT reload animation.

The New Year event is ending

The New Year’s event has come to the end. The smuggler and the Frost Dear have left Will To Live Online world, and with it, we’ve made some changes to the game.



List of changes


- Removed New Year's event;
- Removed all New Year's gift cards;
- New Year's bundles have been removed from sale;
- Fixed problems with hair for the head "Type 12" (in customization);
- Improved RM1 / RH1 Confederate body armor model. Now, regardless of physique, the body armor is displayed correctly on the character;
- Fixed problems with the paint mask of the craft MSR-12;
- Fixed a problem due to which the player could not use the weapon, in the case of a bear stun and after quick throwing a grenade;
- Kite-1 and Kite-2 have been added to the in-game store in paid colors.

Update 0.56.5 - New Year event!

The New Year's update is already available for download, and with it, the New Year's event begins!

A special and very powerful creature has appeared in the world - the Frost Deer. Since this creature is mystical, it has powerful abilities and not everyone can handle it! Rumor has it that Frost Deer can be found in the "Forestry", "Minaev's Territory", "Big Village", "Eastern Territories", "Swamp" and "Coast" locations. Obviously, the habitats of this creature are very different, so in these territories, it is worth moving with extreme caution, preferably in groups!



Also, the Christmas Trees and Smuggler have appeared in the "Sunny", "Tunnels", "Black Sunset Camp", "Big Village" and "Coast" locations. You can get symbolic New Year's gifts from Smuggler in exchange for gift cards, as well as something very rare - the S&W .500 Special. Gift cards can be obtained by completing tasks, killing monsters, participating in events, extracting resources, and fishing.

Cards can be collected immediately after the update is released, and their spawn in the game will be stopped on January 10, 2022 at 00:00 UTC (03:00 Moscow time). By tradition, after the end of the event, all cards and the Smuggler himself will disappear. All gifts received from the Smuggler will remain with you (including purchased items).

New Year Bundles and painted sights




In addition to the updated New Year's bundles, the new equipment has appeared in the in-game store: stylized optical sights and muzzle brakes DT-01. They are suitable for many weapons in a paid color and are offered at quite affordable prices, while they have increased durability.

Other changes


  • Now CCD usage has its own visual effect. It should help players to understand when enemies use CCD. Also, the effect of invulnerability was removed, and characters who use CCD now can’t move. Thus, they can leave the battlefield with impunity during the intense firefight.
  • Fixed lighting issues in 3D inventory preview.
  • The sound picture in the game has been slightly changed: now the sounds of mass shooting do not jam music and other background sounds so much, and in general, the sound picture looks clearer.
  • Now the sound of turning on the flashlight will not be played when moving to locations and when dismounting from a moped.
  • Added the ability to select .338 LM caliber in the commission store filter at Gosha.

The update 0.56.4 is available to download, and with this update, we’ve made some changes, fixed some bugs, and added new quests.



“Testing Ground” location


In this version, the “Testing Ground” location got the following changes in the economy:

  • The new valuable loot has been added to jellies that live in this location.
  • Faction merchants, that placed at faction entrance to the location, from now can buy loot from jellies and drones.


Thus, a faction that didn’t manage to capture territories in the “Testing Ground” location got an opportunity to farm valuable loot and earn tokens, even this faction doesn’t own any territories. It brings a possibility to prepare for the next battle to the “losing side”.

Together with that, due to the excess of parts of the sun spider on market and the increased demand for the drone’s parts, the basic price of sun spiders’ parts has been reduced by 10% (it affects all merchants in the game).

The “Coast” location


In the “Coast” location, a new four quest has been added, which targeted on 35+ level players. For completing the entire questline, players will ultimately receive a good amount of experience. Also, the hogs of the coast have a new loot - the "heart of the hog of the coast".

Wind effect and new settings


Now, the wind effect has appeared in the game. It makes the world of the game more alive, since trees and grass sway, especially during the heavy rain. Also, the corresponding sounds have been added.

If for some reason you do not like this effect, you can always turn it off in the game settings - a corresponding option has been added.

In addition, we’ve added a new experimental feature - “Cache”. This function allows systems with a good amount of RAM (16GB+) to get more smoothly gameplay by pre-caching the used game data (instead of the usual mechanism for loading data as it is used). In theory, this should reduce the "lags" during the first appearance of some objects in the game (characters, monsters, etc.). This increases memory consumption and slightly increases the time to enter the game.
As a reminder, this feature is experimental and intended solely for systems with a lot of RAM.

Misc changes


  • Fixed some bugs in the level design.
  • The behavior of the Symbiont in the “Bunker” location has been improved.
  • The behavior of the bears on the “Swamp” location has been improved.
  • Fixed an issue due to the repeatable quest for the i-HR didn’t allow to complete the “Tea menu” quest;
  • Fixed a situation, when Victoria's dialogues were not entirely correct if the player has a few active quests;
  • Characters on a moped in No-PK mode can now drive without bumping into other characters;
  • Improved animation of monocular usage (from the third person).

Update 0.56.3



Hi there, fighters!

The Halloween event is over, and Mr. Nuke-Pumpkin has left the vastness of the WTL world. Together with it, all gift cards have been removed from the game, and the following changes were made:

  • Using emotions now does not cancel the stun;
  • Fixed errors with the death of a character from the anomaly "Black Cloud";
  • Now, if MRP is discharged, the character does not register on it, as at the spawn point;
  • Now, if items have a charge indicator, it is displayed in the short description of the goods in the commission store. So, for example, you can see the charge of an NDP battery or a can of gasoline right in the list of products, without having to look at detailed information;
  • Added a new effect when the character dies (instead of "bats");
  • Fixed a situation due to which it was impossible to complete the quest "Crocodile eggs" at Victoria;
  • Fixed a problem due to which the weapon stopped shooting after using the mouse scroll;
  • The required amount of energy to move in the portal station is now displayed with a fractional value after the decimal point.
