Hotfix for update 0.55.2



Hello, fighters!

Today we’ve published a hotfix in which several bugs that cause game crashes when you use smiles in chat and appeared problems with the interface when use markers were fixed.
Along with this, we have made some changes to the graphics settings. The “Texture pool size” option was removed from the settings because this option applies automatically according to the characteristics of the graphics card. This approach allows the most effective use of video memory and RAM in those systems where there is a lot of it (16 GB or more).

The patch is available, please update your game client.

Mr. Nuke-Pumpkin visited Will To Live again! This time, he stayed in the Tunnels and the Coast locations (at the tower when the dome is activated). As before, he has a special offer for you: bring him gift cards and trade them for thematic things and skins in the game!

This time, you can get not only the Devilish Helmet but a new frightening mask as well. Weapon from the “Halloween” series also got expansion with the new models: L96A1, MSR-10, MSR-12, WSC PDW и Vepr-12.



How to get these items?

All of these items can be received by gathering gift cards. Cards can be collected from everywhere: by killing monsters or exploring boxes. Wherein, there are monsters that have increased chances of cards drop.

Cards can be collected from 23th of October 00:00 UTC to 2nd of November 00:00 UTC. Those who have no time for cards collecting have a possibility to buy all items while the event wasn’t’ ended. Items will be available in the store limited time and will disappear when the event will be finished.

When the event will be finished, all gift cards and Mr. Nuke-Pumpkin will be removed. All received gifts will stay with you (including bought items).

  • Added a possibility to swim. Swimming is not final yet, that’s why there can be some problems connected with swimming now.
  • Fixed a problem with chat context menu on low resolution;
  • AI behavior of the rats has been reworked;
  • The Listener now reacts to the nuts;
  • Added new death animations of small symbionts;
  • Context menu now shows near the mouse cursor;
  • Added three new smiles to the chat: 2 rats and hamster;
  • Missing calibers have been added to the commission store filter;
  • Character removing dialog window has been improved;
  • Improved equipment position on the character faces (bandanas, gas masks, respirators);
  • Improved gas/smoke grenades throwing animation;
  • Fixed a problem with experience gaining of gas grenades;
  • Tihon now sells Cider;
  • Basic damage of MSR-12 has been increased by 100 units;
  • Increased chances/prices of some loot from lurkers, toxic spiders, elder fire spiders, and boars of the coast;
  • Symbionts during the event on the Coast location now can attack equipment like MHP and MRP and don’t reacts to electronic trap;
  • Matadors got an increased HP per level ratio. Now high-level matadors give more experience, but they became stronger.

The new loot system

Today we’ve published an update on the servers side, in which the loot system has been completely redesigned and the bug with fast discharging of MRP-1, and MHP-1 was fixed.



The previous loot system had its own disadvantages. In particular, the old system didn’t stimulate players for hunting on monsters together, because the loot goes to the first one who first ransacks the monster. That’s why players prefer to farm in solo. Or there are conflicts like “These spiders are mine. I came here first!”. And, instead of union players got disagreements.

The new loot system


The new loot system is designed to minimize the problems mentioned above. Now each player who took part in killing a monster, provided that the player has dealt a sufficient amount of damage, loot is calculated INDIVIDUALLY.

Thus, if a group of several players kills one monster, everyone can come up and ransack it, getting their INDIVIDUAL LOOT. For ordinary monsters, the required minimum damage dealt for looting is 20%, and for some bosses - only 10%.

Simply put, now two players can kill one spider together, spend half the amount of consumables, and each of them will get personal loot from this spider, adjusted for the number of participants. At the same time, we made it a bit more profitable to farm together than to do it alone. For example, if you kill 20 spiders together and put all the loot in one storage, then the total base cost of this loot will be slightly higher than if only one player killed these 20 spiders.



As a result, the game will now encourage the joint killing of monsters (everyone will get the loot), problems with a lack of "spots" are solved, and the collective gameplay becomes a bit more profitable than playing alone ("fewer costs", "a little bit more loot", "play together now it is not only more interesting, but also more profitable ”).

We admit that the new system may not be ideal for all types of monsters: somewhere it may still be more profitable "solo farming", but somewhere on the contrary - farming in a group will become much more profitable. We will monitor the situation and, if necessary, make adjustments.

The changes only affected the server code. No client update required.

Today we’ve released a hotfix, which contains different bugfixes of the previous version of the game.



Changelog:

  • Fixed a problem with the immortality of the little symbionts;
  • Fixed a problem with the looping of the reload animation of MSR-12;
  • Fixed a problem when a possibility to go back from Exclusion Zone wasn’t available if “Island” dialog from Tihon wasn’t complete;
  • Fixed a bug with setting up of the clan group policy.

Today we’ve prepared update 0.55.1, in which we’ve made some fixes and improvements.

  • Time of the action of the protective dome has been increased up to 20 hours in the “Coast” location;

  • Now players can’t make damage to generators in the “Coast” location;
  • Power consumption of NDP-batteries has been reduced during the teleportation to the “Coast” location;
